Five guys prices, without the quality. Small factory produced tasteless burgers and bacon. I would avoid if at all possible.

Best burgers in Bath, hands down. Always been my go to for a nice burger, for the past 15 years. Excellent quality ingredients and the sauces they do are faultless.

It’s been a while (a few years) since I’ve had a Schwartz and this evening my family and I called in to Bath and were unsure of what to grab for our evening meal. Fortunately we made a great call, I always used to like Schwartz burgers, well I’d say they are even better than years ago, my family and I are now big fans as they are full of flavour, great relish, lovely crisp salad, a great bun and clearly all very fresh and cooked to order. Oh and the chips were brilliant too and our accompanying milk shakes the best we’d had in ages. Thanks so much, Schwartz is a true treasure, a bit of an institution in Bath and we will be back again soon.

Stopped on our way as we been bit hungry and ech of us decided that was best takeaway burgers that we eat in UK... Staff friendly and good prices. Definitely would recommend

Have been getting burgers from Schwrtz for almost 40 years and have always been the best in Bath. We as 2 busy mums had been looking forward to a schwartz take out, first for months, over a year maybe. Quality of the burgers definitely aren't what they used to be. A real processed texture, almost solid and a big piece of bone in mine. Also, the pots for the dips are half the size but still the same price. After looking forward to our lunch we won't be rushing back.

Really, really like the online ordering which is easy to use and very efficient. The burgers are so delicious and tasty. In 30 years I have never had a bad experience of this remarkable take away! Possibly the best burgers in the world.

Paid 3 visits to the excellent Schwartz Brothers, had the Double Chorizo Burger and Fries for £10.30 which was absolutely superb, so much so that it had to be tried the following two evenings as well, consistently good food.

I've been veggie for 20 years and eaten a lot of burgers, but simply put NOTHING has come close to the Chickless Hawaiian burger- simply brilliant. Not the cheapest burger in town but you get what you pay for (and we are talking Bath here) plus it's a decent sized burger too. Good customer service but obviously this is a takeaway outlet with no sit in but frankly for the burger they conjure up, it's not an issue. Meat options also hit the spot according to work colleagues.

Good: Burger Bad: Price Indifferent: Fries Back in the day I used to work and live in London during the week and have my weekends in the beautiful city of Bath. I was single and had a very nicely converted first floor flat on the eastern edge of the city. My routine was to leave West London in the late afternoon and drive back in the early evening in my XR3i, calling straight around for a takeaway burger, fries and milk-shake at Schwartz Brothers on Walcot Street: which was only 5 minutes’ drive from my flat. Then I would take my meal home, park-up my car and then enjoy a good meal in my flat, before heading off to my ‘local’ (about 20 minutes’ walk away). I did this for years and the 8oz burger meal was my Friday treat after a busy week in London. Those days came and went, and it is now rare for me these days to have a takeaway burger, but on this occasion, I was heading home from a visit to some friends and that took me through the centre of Bath. I thought, as I hadn’t eaten, I would have a treat, to remind me of days passed … and it did. I had the smaller 4oz burger with fries and forgoed the shake. The burger was as I remember, cooked fresh, hot, tasty, tender and so much better than the competition from McKings. Sadly, the fries, like all fries from such takeaway emporia, were skinny and (apart from the excess salt) almost tasteless. My only concern, was the shock about the price! My subsequent research reveals that a BigMac Meal is £4.89 for a 4oz burger meal with a drink. My Schwartz meal was £8.35 with no drink: that makes it about twice the price if you assume about a £1 for the drink. I agree that the Schwartz burger is much better, and that it is freshly cooked but, come on, it’s still an enormous premium for what is probably the same ingredients. Still it was good to relive a bit of my past, even if on this occasion I dined ‘in-car’ rather than taking the meal to my home, and that is now 25 minutes’ drive away.

There is absolutely no doubt in my mind that Schwartz cook up the best burgers in the South West. The only place that equals them is their sister branch on the other side of Bath.

I'm a burger fan & this place is one of the best i've had a burger from. Thick, meaty & moist with good relishes of all kinds. Fries were really tasty too. Just over £9 for 6oz burger & fries but well worth it. Only downside, no seating inside though a few benches right outside are handy if it's good weather. Our party of 8 actually travelled here form Bristol on a recommendation & it as well worth the travel indeed. I wish there were one like this near me. Seek this place out.

We lived in Bath 30 years ago and Schwrtburgers were a real treat back then. A nostalgic visit last year confirmed they do the best burgers ever.

I had a few beers in the Irish bar next door and this place was recommended by the guys in the bar, I had a Garlic Mayo Cheeseburger and Fries for £10.25, which sounds pricey but for such an excellent burger it pays to have a treat now and then.

Just the best burgers on the planet. The blue cheese burgers are amazing. Great fries too. Quick service but the prices seem to have been increased. £10.00 for a larger burger and chips is quite pricey.

No es una experiencia agradable. Pagó demasiado por una hamburguesa y patatas fritas mediocres y luego me dijo que saliera por el personal por atreverse a tomar un bocado mientras aún estaba en las instalaciones. Decided to have a burger from here with my wife, as we were pretty nostalgic from our experiences from this place when younger. Very disappointed indeed, with poor quality Luke warm burgers, tasteless bread and expensive for what you get. Poor definitely would not return.

Amazing burgers and chips. Best around by far, never disappoints! Travel a good few miles to grab a burger here. Sadly can’t go more than a few times a year.

I’ve been coming to both branches of Schwartz Brothers for a number of years. I’ve only ever had the veggie burgers but carnivorous friends advise me that the meat burgers are excellent too.

As it says in the title , The bun and bacon were burnt , poorly constructed and had gristle through it . All for an extortionate £10 . Needless to say I couldn't eat it .

You must go. No frills, no tables, no loos, just crackingly good burgers. If you don't want a posh sit down meal and have already had a few drinks, you can't beat this place (in fact you can - there's another in central Bath)

This is my go to Burger takeaway when you need a good burger. I don't go very often but when I have the burgers are the best in Bath, well I think they are. Not the cheapest but you get what you pay for and that is a first class burger.

Lots of choice, you can choose a single or double burger. There is also a good selection of sauces. Can get busy but they take phone orders if you are pushed for time.

These guys do really great burgers and chips. The burgers come with lots of different toppings and are cooked in front of you. Good value too.

The blue cheese burger has been a long time favourite in the late hours when food is needed. Have been eating here probably for over 20 years and its consistently good. Being picky I have one major irritation from my last visit to the Walcott Street branch.The young chap who served me could literally not go more than 30 seconds without checking his mobile phone. He's wearing the plastic gloves which is great for hygiene whilst he is flipping the burger and assembling the bun and contents. But then picking up his phone several times during the process. We all know how much bacteria the average phone carries. Must admit it did put me off the burger and I perhaps I should have said something but I really didn't need the confrontation. Anyway, interested to know if there is a policy for staff using a mobile phone whilst on duty?

This is the best place to go for that Late night post pub burger ! Always consistent and good value for money . Sometimes a it if a queue but worth the small wait !

Brilliant Burgers with so many choices but I think they are a little expensive, but the next time I'm in Bath we will visit it again

I'm quite unadventurous in my selection, but this place satisfies any burger cravings. Decent size burgers, that actually fills a hole rather than the empty calories of a McDonald's or the burgers covered in Mayo at Burger King. The shakes are amazing too, chips are nothing special, you needn't bother with them. This place is pricey, but never have any regrets. The one on Walcott Street is better than the other.

If you like burgers, there is nowhere better in the Bath area, and probably much further afield. On any visit to Bath, this is one of the first places we head for and it never disappoints. Wonderful.

Wonderful burgers that actually look like their pictures and taste even better. We have been coming to Schwartz Bros for 22 years, visiting several times each year and the trip from Christchurch is always worth it. In all these years I have never tasted a better burger, they are made to order in front of you, the place is clean and the burgers are not squashed into Polestyrene containers. I also love the milkshakes, and, as yet, I have never had a bad experience. I thoroughly recommend this place.

We have been making trips to Schwartz for years. I do not know why people go to Mac donalds when they have these succulent hamburgers to eat. This is a take away not a restaurant.

The best hamburger I've tasted in years - Seems to be all natural ingredients (none of that "burger hangover" you get with the chains) - only loses a star for being take-away only & local park is shut for the foreseeable future (so nowhere nice to eat it)

Having lived in Bath all my life I have always said Schwartz Burgers are the best. Not anymore. The 'Beef burger' is more solid & appears to be a cheaper quality and the fries tonight were cold not even warm. They were chewing and believe it or not I counted them as there were so few......23 skinny chips. How tight is that?For the price of a take away here you can now go to many local pubs and have a genuine 100% BEEF burger with a descent portion of chips. They are also mean with the mayo so be advised you will need to ask for more or buy an extra pot. It's an expensive take away. I never thought in a million years I would say a bad word about Schwartz but we won't return in a hurry.

We live within half an hours drive of Bath and have driven over to literally just get a burger once (or maybe twice...) we love them :)The choice for veggie burgers is almost as long as the various non-veggie ones and you can add other things to your choice if you fancy too.In the past we've tried both the Vege and Chickless burgers with various toppings etc, I think I prefer the Vege-style ones more although the Chickless Hawaiian Special is super tasty. The one with Jalapenos is SUPER spicy and possibly my favourite although I recall removing some of the chillies one time after a heavy night! I haven't tried their beanburgers, as my partner put it 'why would you?!'It's about £5 a burger, I saw someone commented about doubling up as you get a better deal...I may have to try that! They're cooked to order as you wait, it's nice to know they're so fresh.It's worth noting that the Vege and Chickless burgers are both vegan too, as long as you carefully pick your toppings.

My husband went to Bath uni so when we were wandering the area around lunch time it seemed worth a go. It was pretty strange being in a late night takeaway, complete with posters for local nightclubs, in the day and stone cold sober, but I chose one with chorizo, and off we went to a bench down the road to see what drunken food treated like in the daytime. And it was great! Fresh, well cooked, tasty ingredients and a generous portion size. My waistline probably won't thank me, but I have a feeling I'll return...

Veggie burgers are a bit of a minefiled to be honest. Often nothing more than pulped crappy veg or tasteles TVP. I usually avoid them like the plague. HOWEVER, Schwartz veggie burger are delicious! Freshly cooked to order with a wide choice of toppings. Seriously scrumptious :)

We came here for nostalgic reasons, as my boyfriend went to Bath University many years ago and had stopped here on many alcohol-fuelled nights out. Maybe this had interferred with his senses as the burgers we had (chilliburger for him, vegeburger for me) were completely flavour- and tasteless. His was just about edible (he was very hungry) but mine was a squishy, horrible, grey mess of unidentifiable origin. I took two bites and threw the rest in the bin, as it was nothing short of disgusting. Shame about the wasted £5.15. With so many wonderful eateries around, I am baffled as to how this place still keeps going. Mind you, if the three wasted potheads who came in after us make up the majority of their clientele, I can see why.

Best burger in town. I had a chilly burger, the meat was tasty and the chilly sauce was hot enough for me. The staff is friendly and the service is quick. Will eat again here.

Even if you are not a fan of burgers, you must try this! Burgers are cooked over open fire and nothing is started until you make your order. Hot, lovely, tasty - the perfect burger :)

But i've been a couple of times in the past few months and both times the orders have been messed up and the burgers just not as good as they used to be... I hope that this is a flash in the pan as everyone loves a good Burger! Come on SB's! Sort it out!

It's been about 10 years since I last had a Schwartz Bros burger but they are still amazing. My wife and children have niw been introduced and they all agree that they are GOOD. It's lucky we live so far away otherwise we would always be there!

Efficient service combined with delicious, freshly prepared product. I normally would have indulged in the Garlic Mayo burger, but in deference to my companions, whom I would be joining shortly, I opted for a Cheeseburger with Fries. Fries were excellent and burger a perfect combination of mince, melted cheese, salad and sauce. Best burger I have had in a while.

Schwartz Brothers burgers are better than your average high street burger chain offerings. All burgers are cooked to order which is far preferable to some sad little offering that has been sweating away in a polystyrene box for half an hour. A range of tasty toppings are on offer and service might not win any awards but the staff are generally polite.

These burgers are delicious!Spot on every time we have one of these. We have sampled a fair few of these and I can thoroughly recommend the Garlic mayo burger with or without cheese, but the cheese burger, regular burger or any of the other burgers are all delicious!They are properly made in front of your eyes, flame grilled burgers with fresh salad and lashings of relish, really yummy!The chips and chicken burgers are also really good!The staff are always very polite, quick and stylish! Schwartz really do employ a funky lot, they look good and always have good music playing, making you cool by proxy!Not as cheap as other international burger chains (2 spring to mind) but you get a massive fresh burger and a big bag of chips.Love it when we are passing through Bath (especially Walcot Street - original is best!) we always stop off for a treat!Always recommend Schwartz

Overpriced, low quality, small portions, not so clean and poor manners from staff, hey lets all put the word Gourmet in front of food so we can charge the public more for less than average foods. If this is gourmet then MacDonalds must be the choice of royalty. What a load of rubbish!

Every time I go to Schwartz I know I can rely on a top-quality burger & fries, entertaining staff, and grime/dubstep on the radio. Only wish I could make it more often!

I didn't try the veggie burgers, but anyway the prices are from 4 to 6 pounds only for one burger and you have to pay additionally for chips, sauce and drink. The meat was low quality and the "blue cheese" almost inexistant. The bread was "okay". The whole was fat and dry, the personal quite unfriendly.I saw lots of good comments and honestly I can't understand. Mac Donalds may have been much better.

Delicious food! Burgers made to your choice. Don't get me wrong there is a set menu but you can work around that by customising it to suit you! Perfect late night takeaway.

Ok so this is another one for the veggies but there will be meat discussion in this review.Having moved here from the midlands where veggie food seems somewhat lacking I couldn't believe there was a place like this. Ok, so the veggie burgers are the same thing minus or plus one ingredient and I'd love to see some more stuff but I don't know any other burger place that uses veggie bacon. The veggie chickless special is great! I don't eat lots of junk but this is a great and after repeatedly visiting it over winter whenever I couldn't be bothered to cook was glad to read that they use rapeseed oil, cook their own veggie burgers, use light mayo etc etc- it eased my lazy guilt!Introducing the place to my partner was great, he had to like it otherwise he'd have to go hungry! He loves it and has the Chorizo burger mostly and tries to mention the place once a week but unless they have a deal on the prices can rack up. The chips are a let down as they are the spindly fries and as they are a gourmet place some nice chunky chips or wedges would just top it off. It cleans the floor with other burger places and if you want to break the maccy D's / burger king cycle and have nice food then I promise after visiting here you won't go back to the others.
