Absolutely amazing. Came on a Sunday afternoon (16/03) during the Bath half marathon and it was just perfect. Despite being busy, Tilly our server was attentive, friendly, and made our meal the most enjoyable relaxed meal we’ve had in a long time. The young lady who shown us to our table as we came in (we didn’t catch her name) was also amazing and explaining and so friendly during our short interaction and set the bar for the clearly awesome service we had installed. A huge thank you and appreciation to the chefs, the service may have been amazing but the food was wow, the steaks was cooked to perfection and I couldn’t have asked for a better meal, thank you all so much for me perfect experience, we will be back

Came on a Tuesday afternoon for my husbands birthday - while the restaurant was busy for just two servers the service was wonderful. Leanne was really communicative, helpful and professional. As someone who is Gluten Free it was absolutely wonderful to see a full GF menu, including GF chips and a GF dessert that wasn’t brownies or sorbet - thanks so much! Food was excellent, paid £70 for chataubriand for 2 including sauce, side and lettuce wedge. Took quite a long time (35 mins or more) to come out but steak was perfectly done, sauces were delicious (especially the beef dripping, it's a must try!) - chips and onion load were also good. No need for lettuce wedge it didn't add much to the dish. Thought this was a reasonable price for the quality. Got a small table next to a wall which felt cramped and difficult to get in and out of, should have asked for another table though. Toilets were up a cold, long stair way and are shared mens / womens which sadly wernt overly clean - toilet roll on the floor etc. Really dislike toilets where you have to wash your hands whilst in the cubicle then open a dirty door handle to get out! Decor was nice and the place had a good atmosphere, music etc however they had about 3 or 4 menus which was abit too much choice and hence it took a long time to decide. Service was fine - nothing special, the 'steak expert' was friendly enough but didnt have much to say when taking the order and it did take a while to get the bill. Once I got the bill tried talking to them but again, not much interaction. Had the feel of a chain which is to be expected. I wouldn't neccessarily go back now I've experienced it - but don't regret it either. Great steak is pretty much guaranteed.

Extremely disappointed with our visit to Miller & Carter Bath, we have been to several different Miller & Carter restaurants in different locations including Taunton, London, Plymouth and they have all been great which is why we chose to dine in a Miller & Carter for our 15th wedding anniversary as we assumed we would receive lovely food and great hospitality. This was not what we experienced, we know it was busy but the noise level in there was too loud sounding like a rowdy pub instead of the usual dining experience we’ve had in other places. The worst of it though was the food itself and the customer service which was considerably lacking, firstly we were put on a cramped table with low and uncomfortable chairs. Secondly we had to wait a long time for the food which was not up to standards we have had previously at other restaurants. The fillet steak was chewy, hard to cut and the meal was therefore hardly touched as the steak was not tender enough or nice enough to enjoy. No one came to our table to check on us to see if everything was ok until the end when we asked for the bill in which upon our feedback of the meal we were asked if we wanted a replacement yet we had been waiting for 2 hours and it was late and by then we had been put off so we replied no and was given a discount yet the whole meal was hardly touched so that should of been completely deducted off the bill. We didn’t have anyone checking on our table and twice had to go to the bar and buy drinks as no one asked if we needed any more. The service was terrible and the food was not enjoyable or what we expected we’ve had better steaks in a Wetherspoons. We would never go to the Bath one again and it’s actually put us off going to any of the Miller and Carter restaurants, we definitely won’t be deciding to go back to one again for a special event that was ruined by an unpleasant meal.

Complained about time taken only to be told by head waiter that order had not gone through to kitchen. Pathetic excuse and service. Avoid if you want to eat on same day you arrive.

We went out for my daughters birthday with a parry of 10 people. We had to wait for the table even though we pre booked the table as it wasn't ready.. Then it took a while to order the first drinks. We had to ask for them. The food order was taken, and it took about 30-45 mins for the food to start coming out We were given the half lettuce with a topping and most of us started eating this as we were hungry. It took another 20 mins after for the mains to come out. Some of the food was cold. But most of the food was delicious. The steaks were tender, cooked well and delicious. We had all finished our food but it took ages to clean the table. I brought my daughter a cake for her birthday and I had to.ask for it to be brought out, the candles were not put on the cake. By this time I just couldn't bother to ask them for the candles. The restaurant wasn't even busy, there were a few other couples there but not overly busy. Not good service all in all and we asked for the service charge to be taken off the bill

We were away for my wife’s birthday for a few days and decided to go to miller and Carter Bath for the birthday meal. We had a reservation and were seen after a few minutes and the order taken quickly. It wasn’t busy at all with only a few other couples in. The drinks came after a few minutes but the salad wedge was over 40 minutes and mine was brown on the edges. The mains were average at best. The onion loaf I think was cooked with a blow torch and burnt badly, the baby potatoes were not great and the steak very tough and fatty. The waitress didn’t check and make sure things were ok or we would have said but after waiting an hour nearly we had lost faith. We have been to many miller and carters and this one I unfortunately have to say is not the best. Maybe an off night but really wish I had read the previous reviews and not spent £90 on a really average meal for a birthday meal for 2!

Terrible! We arrived early and the lady was very nice and apologetic that she wouldn’t be able to seat us yet, we were ok with that obviously and asked if we could get a drink from the bar. She said we could but we found that nobody was serving. After a wait the same lady served us the 3 Prosecco that was part of the set menu but ignored my child and we had to stop her to ask for a drink for them. We were shown to our table and told X waiter would be over shortly. When we were served drinks at our table they took a while to arrive. When ordering another single drink it failed to arrive. We were ordering from a set menu at £62 per head. We’re told when we asked the waiter that we do have to order all three courses. Starters arrived ok, except that we asked for no cheese on a child’s garlic bread and ok’d with the waiter but it arrived with cheese on. Then the waiter removed 3 of the 4 plates whilst the 4th plate was still being eaten. Starters were nice. The iceberg wedge with sauce that was part of an adult steak meal was served a considerable time (approx 20mins) before the steaks arrived, whilst the remaining starter plate and numerous used glasses were left on the the table and were still on the table when the the mains were being served. The cutlery and napkins weren’t replaced and we had to point that out. Only cutlery was offered. We had to ask for the removal of empty used glasses. Two of the three steaks (one steak was for our child) were luke warm and the other steak was cold. The chips were also cold and obviously had been sat waiting to be served for a while. Some of the vegetables seemed past their best. The cod loin was nice but not overly hot when served. The cauliflower cheese had a funny twang to it. We made the waiter aware of my husbands cold steak and chips and he was happy to get those replaced. The replacement steak arrived with no cutlery or chips. After waiting for some time again, I approached the waiter to ask to speak to management, I complained to the waiter and voiced that the service we have received was terrible. Both the waiter and the manager I spoke too didn’t voice any acceptance of the poor service. The waiter was extremely unprofessional and stormed off waving his hand about, the manager approached us at this time but instead of talking to me first she went after her waiter…I stood waiting for her. When we first arrived she was the one who greeted us and was very pleasant and polite, so I did specify this before I explained my situation but her attitude immediately changed and she wasn’t particularly apologetic. The manager came to the table was told about the lack of cutlery, that the chips hadn’t arrived and could he please have the drink of lemonade and lime he asked for…she returned asking what drink it was he wanted when he had already just told her. We didn’t order dessert as by this time we had complained and considering the manner of which the complaint was received by the waiter and how the lady manager had also become quite defensive and short with us we had had enough and wanted to leave. Another waitress was assigned to clear our table. We asked for the bill that the manager brought over with a discount but upon checking the bill the £20 per head deposit I had paid when booking online because it was required hadn’t been taken off the bill so when another member of staff approached us for payment we pointed this out and she apologised, went away and came back with the £80 deposit taken off. In all we paid our deposit and around £19 for drinks and left the restaurant. It was an absolutely shocking experience and not just a couple of issues but the whole experience was a complete mess. Considering we were celebrating New Year’s Eve with a set menu at quite a cost per head in an establishment with what we thought had a good reputation we are utterly disappointed and disgusted, they also have unisex toilets that I personally dislike and disagree with. We will never return to a Miller & Carter.

Booked for the new year menu, but our first waitress told us only the gluten-free option was available as the delivery didn't turn up. She was also telling the table next to us about how awful the place was. After our starters that were very good, we saw people being seated with new year menus and when we asked why we were then told, it was only available 5pm. This wasn't stated online when booking or on any posters outside. After an hour of booking we had a new waiter who had to tell us some of our orders were no longer available. This waiter ws doing his very best all night, and we couldn't fault him at all. We were served our mains by a different young man who had no idea what dish he was serving to us. We had to work that out for ourselves. The steak was cooked well, but our onion loaf was hollow and over cooked. Dessert was by far the worst thing we have ever eaten. There was a slight burnt taste at first, but as we discovered, the whole middle was so burnt and as hard as concrete. It was disgusting. We saw our poor waiter having to deal with so many complaints he left upset. We had the desert removed from the bill with an extra £6 off and told it was just that time of year to come back when it's quiet! We tipped our waiter as we left because he was doing the best he could with not much support. We left sovery disappointed.

Honestly just a bad experience all round. Never been Miller & Carter before and wont come back. Jon, who seated and served us was lovely, but seemed to be the only person working the area, which had all the populated tables in, without support from any other team members. Our starters of cauliflower wings and prawn cocktail were unfortunately very cold, as if cooked from frozen. And took 30 minutes to be cleared once finished, only happening when we decided to clear the table ourselves. The mains then came instantly and had obviously been sat in the kitchen during our 30 min wait, as were also cold and a bit sorry for themselves. Steak in burger definitely not rare and food pretty tasteless. Would go elsewhere if looking to eat in Bath!

Me and my boyfriend came here for a late lunch and it was not disappointing whatsoever! After being recommended this place a thousand times by my friend, we thought we’d try. Firstly, the staff were so welcoming. Me and my boyfriend booked for 3pm and ended up arriving at half 3 due to traffic, however they were more than happy to accommodate us!! Our server John (i believe that was his name!) was so friendly and very attentive, he made us feel very welcome. He was also very happy to ask the chefs to speed up our dishes as we had been running late at that point, so definitely deserves recognition!! As a hospitality worker, it’s nice to see other servers show that they enjoy their line of work. The food was just divine. We had ordered the half roast chicken with chorizo and the lamb as well as mac and cheese on the side, wow wow wow!! The portion sizes were just perfect as well. Will definitely be back here again, thanks so much for a great Sunday lunch.

I would recommend this restaurant to anyone. The food was good and came out quickly. The service from Tilly was brilliant. She was lovely and made us feel very welcome. I told her it was my birthday and she made me a delicious, complimentary birthday plate.

Service very friendly, but sadly the food was really disappointing. Chips and ribs tasted rancid, roast half chicken was mushy and not at all crispy, the mixed seasonal veg was mainly tinned peas. Had a much better meal the following day at Wagamamas. Sorry, but would not recommend!

Food took a long time to come out and they wasn't that busy. When the food did come out they forgot a peppercorn sauce but trying to find any staff that was walking past was impossible. They were all just stood in one area. Finally one came by and we managed to get the sauce. Once finished we waited about 25 minutes and no one had turned up. In the end I went to the bar and asked for the bill, got told to sit down and the server will come over. They came over but couldn't give me my bill as there was an issue with the printers. Really disappointed as we have been to a few of the Miller and Carter restaurants and they have been amazing. Maybe this one was just having an off day..

I want to start this review by saying that the service we received from Tilly was absolutely fantastic, and the food was great as always. You’ve also been amazing at accommodating my coeliac brother, which we really appreciate. However, I’m afraid this is where the positives end. On 12/12/24, myself and three flatmates went out for dinner to celebrate our house Christmas meal and the end of the university semester. What we were met with was a 10-minute wait at the door and long delays for both food and drinks. I want to be absolutely clear—this was not the fault of the staff on shift. They were working tirelessly, remained professional and apologetic throughout, and clearly did everything they could under the circumstances. Having all worked in hospitality ourselves, we couldn’t help but notice the glaring lack of support from management. It’s no secret that the Bath Christmas markets bring an incredibly busy and high-demand period, yet your team was visibly understaffed. This isn’t just an oversight—it’s unacceptable. Failing to properly staff your team for such a predictable rush leaves them to pick up the pieces, working twice as hard for the same pay and likely fewer tips due to the reduced guest experience. The issue doesn’t stop there. Learning that card tips don’t fully go to the staff is appalling. These workers are the face of your business, bending over backwards to deliver the best experience possible under immense pressure, yet they’re denied the full reward of their hard-earned tips. It’s demoralizing for staff and disappointing for customers who want to show their appreciation directly to those who served them. This was meant to be a festive, celebratory evening, but instead, we couldn’t help but feel sorry for the incredible team who were left to fend for themselves without proper management support. Hospitality workers deserve better, and as customers, we expect more from a venue like this. Your staff are brilliant, but it’s clear that management needs to step up and provide the resources, support, and fair policies they deserve.

Unfortunately this is the worst Miller & Carter we have visited. Service was slow, food was over cooked to the point the onion loaf shattered and bits flying everywhere. Me and my partner ordered the same steak, but one was half the size of the other.

Visited Miller & Carter Bath today,it is something we do every year, visit the Christmas Market, then luch here, it has always been 1 of our favourite places! Today was very different, the service was awful! The girl wasn't a little bit interested in us, looking around the restaurant when we were speaking to her, rolled her eyes at requests, insisted on calling my husband darling everytime she spoke to him. Didn't ask us if we needed anything else, just dumped the food on the table and left. And most annoying of all, making me feel really silly for the things i was doing, like finding my voucher for a glass of prosecco, when my card wouldnt work in the machine, I felt like a little girl! Not an enjoyable experience, such a shame!

Purley takeaways. If you're looking for a late night bite of something satisfyingly fast-food but with a hint of pub, this is the perfect place for you. Patties are fried right in front of you, service is fast and friendly. We did once wait for 25 mins before realising our order hadn't come through! But staff were very quick to make our meal when they realised. I don't know that I can really recommend the chips or onion rings... But if you're going there for beef or chicken burgers, you're golden.

Five guys quality is amazing. The customer service is great too and you feel some peace of mind watching them make your order because you can actually see what goes on in the kitchen. Cleaning is thorough and food is immaculate. Bonus that there are the cool snippets from news articles about five guys

Do not order from here if you have Vegan/Veg requirements. Last night we ordered 2 Vegan burgers on UBER Eats, and 2 chicken burgers arrived. Innocent mistake perhaps? NO. We ordered again, 2 vegan burgers, and again 2 chicken burgers arrived. This is dreadful and disgusting. After waiting all evening for food that can't be eaten, you need to do better.
