Absurd Bird Bath in Bath and North East Somerset

Do not order from here if you have Vegan/Veg requirements. Last night we ordered 2 Vegan burgers on UBER Eats, and 2 chicken burgers arrived. Innocent mistake perhaps? NO. We ordered again, 2 vegan burgers, and again 2 chicken burgers arrived. This is dreadful and disgusting. After waiting all evening for food that can't be eaten, you need to do better.

I tried some of the vegan options and they were incredible. I would totally recommend it. The place looks amazing and the staff was lovely.

I have been 4 times to Aburd Bird Bath. My first mention is to the manager June 19 to March 20, nice guy, always a pleasure👌. 2nd, the wing challange. Great fun. My friend tried it with the dry herb, got a place 10th on the leader board, great fun night. We went back and I choose the bbq marinade for the challange, knocked him off the board. Both well had their ups and downs, but the chicken is great. Other visiting times I had burgers and waffles, both lush, makes KFC burgers look awful and most good burger restaurants don't get that chicken coating crunch right. Did here when I went. Had fun times here, with tasty food. I'm wingman Nick on the board, mate struggling in the photos. 😋

Had great time in the Exeter branch in January and been trying to get a table at the Bath branch for some time in between lockdowns. Finally got there today. What a disappointment. Whereas the food was okay - nice chicken, great waffles and tasty sauces but - yuk - cold fries ... the experience was all the more ruined by the waiter. We got the impression he would rather be anywhere but at work. Poor attitude, poor comprehension, vague knowledge of the menu and a complete disinterest in us as customers. We were merely barked at and pointed at our table. The waitress was a lot more helpful. I know from my previous experience that the food can be great so it was a pity that today's visit was not a good experience.

Considering they are meant to specialise in fried chicken this was disappointing, feel like it just wasn’t very fresh, a bit dry and food was not very hot, bbq dip was nice as was the chicken burger but nothing out of this world! KFC would’ve probably been better...Onion rings that were in the burger were rock hard and chewy not light crispy and fresh at all like they’re meant to be...

I was today in restaurant to eat with some friends and the food was very good, but the staff was very rude to us i think that person was the manager.... Guys please improve that.

We had a couple of drinks here and decided to order some chicken tenders. The chicken was delicious. Staff were very friendly and helpful. A relaxed atmosphere!

Had there takeaway tonight and it was brilliant arrived hot and took no time at all to get to us. The wings were delicious.

Stumbled upon this restaurant whilst looking for a place to eat in Bath. Our server Luke greeted us at the door and was wonderful throughout. Very accomodating with our pram and found us a nice quiet booth. Social distancing measures great. Food was lovely. What more can you ask for from a lunchtime meal. Really recommend. Luke- you were a great asset to this company.

Booked in advance for our family of 7. Due to the size of the group we agreed to sit separately on two tables. Got a call on the day of booking to be told they have cancelled both tables due to the new restrictions of 6 people groups, despite us being a family of 7 living together and already sitting on separate tables. Very disappointing service and very rude staff member. "When meeting friends and family you do not live with (or have formed a support bubble with) you must not meet in a group of more than 6, indoors or outdoors." Gov.uk

I was excited to try the food as I am a lover of pancakes with bacon and maple syrup so the thought of fried chicken with waffles intrigued me. I liked the chicken gravy, chicken and waffles but not sure the maple syrup worked. Also had the mac n cheese as a side which was great. I would recommend this place for the food but it is not family friendly or a relaxed atmosphere as the music (on a Monday evening around 8pm) was full of swearing and sexual references! Change the aggressive music and I would given it a 5!

Unfortunately it seems as though the restaurant is focusing more primarily on their takeaways rather than the sit down customers. Twice I have been to this restaurant, both post lockdown and it’s been the same scenario. I will keep trying as they do serve great food! Just sort out the absurd service!

Delicious food. 3 of us ate the Rooster Chicken Burger and it was quality. Service was fantastic and the location was spot on.

Had a delicious bottomless brunch here with my girlfriend. Was treated to delightful service from Luke who was extremely complimentary and helpful with choosing our food and drinks. He was an absolute delight to meet and made our meal 100x better. Would recommend due to delicious food and such incredible service. Thanks so much!! Xx

Absolutely delightful food.Reserved a table in advance and saw quite a few people turned away due to being fully booked. Would strongly recommend the AB Waffles and chicken wings. Very flavoursome and generous portion sizes.Looking forward to my next meal out in Bath for this!

Always wanted to visit an Absurd Bird restaurant due to being a lover of cheese and chicken! There are lots of yummy things to choose from on the menu and the shakes/deserts are also amazing to choose from!Came here for a birthday dinner during the week, so was relatively quiet and no booking was needed, however can imagine it can be potentially quite busy during the weekend evenings!

Went in this afternoon for some food and a few drinks to celebrate a 3 year anniversary. We straight away were greeted with a smile and excellent customer service. We straight away made aware of everything that was available and wasn’t. Brilliant in my opinion, we were then helped to choose which cocktails by help with flavours previous cocktails etc. Asked how Our food was etc just 5* quality customer service I believe by a gentleman called Corey. This member of staff deserves a pay rise promotion whatever the organisation has on offer. Should value this member of staff very highly!

I visited the restaurant with my friends the vibe was great and the food was tasty. Staff are super friendly, the bar man I believe his name is Corey was really helpful in helping pick my cocktail which was amazing! all in all great place to good if your looking for a good vibe.

Me and my husband booked lunch here on a visit to Bath. We absolutely love fried chicken and these types of restaurants are always a must for us! We were the first people in the place at 12pm and were sat in a cute little booth. Our server was so friendly! He made us feel really comfortable. The menu is great with so many mouth watering choices, we were struggling to choose one option! I ended up getting the chicken tenders with cheese sauce and the garlic rub fries. They were soooo delicious. My husband had the buffalo mac and cheese which was divine. I was a bit jealous as it was so gooey and stringy, I will get that next time for sure! Overall the meal was super quick and the service absolutely impeccable. I couldn’t believe how friendly our server was and the food tasted great too. We actually booked another reservation in the London branch for next week as we loved it so much!

Food is unreal, very good value for money. Little slow on service but they are busy. Will be back again

Booked in advance to come here on a weekend trip to Bath. Have to say we were slightly disappointed at being put on the large table in the middle of the room instead of in a booth with there being just 2 of us, it felt a big awkward at the big table. However the food was super tasty, has a real American diner feel and also impressed with the vegan options. Would come back :)

The menu was very enticing with a good mix of meals and the venue was quirky with little booths to sit in. It was a Sunday evening (7.30pm) and the restaurant was very quiet, only 3 tables with people at and no one occupying the outside table. We waited a while to be seen (whilst staff sorted deliveroo and justeat orders) only then to be turned away because we hadn't booked. It just seemed disappointing as they weren't Very busy and could probably have done with our custom! We came out of the restaurant and tried to book online and noticed that we could have booked a place for an hour later...We didn't but thought it odd to be turned away when we could just have booked and come back! Will maybe try another time.

Had a meal here with the family last weekend. The restaurant has a good ambience and is very clean, the staff were friendly and attentive. In the current social distancing climate, the seating had been well considered and at no time did we feel uncomfortable with the proximity to others.The food was very much 'diner style but was well cooked, well presented, plentiful and very tasty. It was a much enjoyed evening out.

The 4 of us enjoyed our food. The vegan among us enjoyed the vegan burger. Not cheap - £75 for 4 main courses and 4 soft drinks. It’s disappointing that a service charge gets automatically added as we prefer to choose what tip we’d like to leave. For the price, I think there’s better places to go. Good, but not fantastic.

We booked a table for all you could eat wings on a Wednesday night. On arrival there was no one else in the restaurant. We were seated at a table which was located on one of the ‘walkways’ which has been set up for their one way system and also next to the kitchen. Given the limited occupancy of the restaurant I think they could have seated us somewhere with less possibility of people walking past. We ordered drinks quite quickly, personally I think these were very expensive. My drink was out of a can which hadn’t been refrigerated. For the wings you get an initial serving of 8 wings but they must all be the same flavour which I found disappointing. Having not eaten at an AB restaurant before it would have been good to be able to sample the selection of flavours. I think this could avoid waste from picking a flavour you don’t like too. The wings took a longer time to arrive than I expected, my perception being because they were doing a lot of deliveroo type orders. On arrival the wings were very hot so freshly cooked and came with a portion of fries. They were well coated with sauce which was nice. We ordered our second set of wings (4 each) in different flavours to our first which we had enjoyed. These were some of the more unusual AB flavours and they weren’t pleasant tastes. That ended the meal for us as we didn’t want to waste the food so asked to take it home which the server went and asked if we could do.Social distancing wise we encountered three staff members during our visit. The first (who seemed to be the lead or manager) was wearing no face covering and stood quite close. The other two wore a mask which made their proximity less of a concern. I’d like to have seen more consideration to distancing for those not wearing masks. The meal was enjoyable but could have been so much better if an option for a ‘trial’ of the flavours was available for the first round. Service charge is also added to the bill which is always a frustration for a party of 2, as much as I could have asked for it to be removed to determine my own tip this is always awkward. Overall we enjoyed the wings but value for money wise I don’t think we got it due to the issue with the flavours and the price of the drinks

Very disappointing! Food was very poor/average, on tiny plates. Restaurant is like a dungeon, has no atmosphere, and gloomy decor. Dont waste your money.

We had such a wonderful time. The staff were so lovely and friendly even through a mask. Especially Kayleigh and Marko who served us, could not have been looked after better! I hope their managers see this review. I could not recommend this restaurant enough. Food was delicious and the experience was great!

Great food, service wasn’t super impressive through... seemed to be more interested in chit chatting than serving people..

Absolutely disgusting. Order had been out for delivery for over a hour before being delivered. The food arrived stone cold over cooked and dry. But the worst part was the chicken wings. They smelt rotten! Tried to call numerous times but no answer. I hope we don’t have upset stomachs due to the chicken wings. I’m gutted because this “was” my favourite place for chicken.

I ordered my food spent £50 only just for them to leave out a whole £15 meal. I tried to contact them and it was pointless and a waste of time. They simply responded with “well there’s nothing we can do” such poor customer service, they wouldn’t even bother to try help me out. Absolutely appalling and stupid how they cannot help me out after spending so much money on the food. Disgraceful. Oh and also they didn’t send me my “free” koppabergs and another portion of chips. Says it all really.

Absolutely awful experience. Ordered food on uber eats. Took over 2 hours before the food even left the place. When we got it half of it was missing. Tried calling the restaurant an abundance of times and they wouldnt answer. No attempt to out it right. Will never order from them again.

How can you advertise unlimited wings and bring out 12 in the alloted 1hr30? Felt completely scammed, especially when they say you get the meal free if you finish 24. Don't waste your time on it.

After my previous great experience here a year ago, I returned to what could have been a completely different restaurant. The wait was ridiculously long, the food awful and the service probably better in McDonalds. Absurd Bird has gone from a place I highly recommend, to a place I’d avoid at all costs.

Completely taken with the ambience and decor at Bath's Absurd Bird.... We were more than happy to soak up the sights whilst waiting for a dessert waffle. And just as well, as the puds took 45 mins to arrive. Okay, it was a rugby weekend and the spot was pumping but still guys. Then, to add insult to injury, the plates included one waffle cut into four quarters.... Two for me and two for the husband. Dry, and adorned with one ball of ice cream and a smidgeon of caramel sauce. Underwhelming to say the least. Will give the Leeds branch a try when we get back to Yorkshire but at this point, there's a very bitter taste in our mouths.

On arrival it took 40 minutes for someone to bring water to our tables drinks orders were a shambles, the food was mediocre with cold onion rings in some of the burgers ,service was really nonexistent.steer well clear if you have a large group of people.Totally uninspired visit.

Visited with a large group for bottomless brunch for a friends 21st birthday. Danny was amazing and delivered the best service ensuring there was a constant supply of bubbles to the table ! I usually have to work bottomless brunches myself and know how stressful they can be ! Food was insane, consistent with previous visits, still one of my top spots for places to eat out as a vegan, I still get to enjoy the joys of deep fried ‘chickn’ and waffles!

This is now my new favourite place to eat in Bath, the food is amazing if you enjoy meat substitutes, I took the "chicken" out the burger to taste and being a ex meat eater it was very hard to taste the diffrence. If this is a in house recipe i hope they sell it to retailers in the future. And the Mac & Cheese was phenomenal . Staff could be a bit more attentive, but satisfactory customer service overall once being attended too.

Came here for a celebration meal after a university graduation. Lots of open tables, and the staff were warm and welcoming.Lots of chicken available here, in all kinds of ways. We tried just about all of it, and it was all good. The mac n cheez is pretty good, as are the milkshakes. Is it the same as having similar US comfort food in the South? Well, no, of course not; it can't be. But the chow is good.

Went in on the off chance for a cocktail, was greeted by Jamie who made us feel very welcome. While we sat enjoying our cocktails we were eyeing up the food going past! We decided to try the XL wings. Jamie suggested the dryrub seasoning and it certainly didn’t disappoint. We already had a booking for dinner elsewhere that night so reluctantly stopped at just the taster wings. However, the next day before we travelled home, we knew where we wanted to go for lunch! Jamie was there and once again, the service was fab. As soon as a booth came available he moved us so we weren’t sat by the door in the cold. We all enjoyed more wings, burgers and a few more cocktails!Would definitely recommend this to anyone and if we come back to bath, we will 100% return for more wings.

Me and my boyfriend went to Bath for a night out. We had never been to an Absurd bird restaurant before and i was blown away firstly by the decor and atmosphere- the music was very putting and i couldn't help but have a boogie.However, the highlight of the night, apart from the stunningly delicious cocktails, was the exceptional customer service! We were first greeted by Jamie, he sat us down at the best spot on the bar and made sure throughout the whole night that we were happy!The bartender, Marcu was excellent at making us cocktails and checking in on us - having fun conversations and making us feel very welcome! Had the best night thanks to both Jamie and Marcu - i highly recommend this place! we will definitely both be returning soon!

Was the greatest experience out for a meal, our first greet was Jamie, who made us very welcome and was a pleasure to talk to. He introduced us to Marcu who looked after us and crafted incredible cocktails! This was our first stop stepping off the train station and the most memorable. Jamie also recommended other places to visit giving us a greater idea of how best to enjoy me and my girlfriends time in Bath which is an incredible place to be! Food, cocktails and service were top class! Cannot recommend this team high enough to make your first, fourth or final visit to Bath the most memorable, try them out for yourself! Looking forward to visiting again!

Me and a few friends went after rugby on Wednesday for their bottomless wings. The food was of high quality and at a fair price. We were served by all night by Bessie who did an amazing job at catering for us and I couldn’t recommend her and their service highly enough. A return will be a certainty.

Went here for a late lunch one Saturday after a particularly heavy party night and it was exactly what was needed! Hubby had chicken dippers and I had mac & cheese balls, they were just the right level of fried food comfort and not over greasy wish we lived in Bath so we could go again!

I come to bath a lot and all way a drink in here but yesterday I decide to give the food ago . OMG what have I been missing it was absolutely lovely and the best onion rings Iv ever had and the staff is all ways friendly yesterday we got served my James what a great guy he is .it’s not just the food that makes a great place it’s the staff as well and there’s some great guys there will be eating here again

We come here quite often for the wings and the food is fantastic but more than that Jamie the manager goes out of his way to make the experience great! Looking forward to having some more Bud lights, wings and great service from Jamie.

We decided to have dinner at Absurd Bird as I've used them before and the food is always good.We chose some food to share and dug into chicken strips, fries, vegan mac n cheese, fried pickles and some sauces.All the food was cooked well and we just about managed to eat all of it. The vegan mac n cheese wasn't as good as the standard one, but it was OK, just doesn't replicate that creamy moreish taste.

Food was good and vegan options very enjoyable. Staff helpful and not overly clingy and pestering in the way that other places are. Only thing I will say is the music (whilst great choice of tracks) was pretty deafening.... I had to lean close and ask hubs to repeat himself when he was sitting next to me. Being typically British and not wanting to cause a fuss - I didn’t mention it to the staff. It’s not ideal if you are easily overwhelmed by noise or looking for a quieter lunch. Good for groups and something a bit different from the usual high street fare.

Dropped in for a quick bite on an early afternoon and wasn't sure what to get. We ended up waiting quite a while although it wasn't busy at all. The drinks were okay but I didn't enjoy my chicken snack :( All I could taste was the marinade and batter, not the chicken anymore. Also, cannot recommend the avocado version - it just sounds better on paper than it is!

From service to food , quality to quantity was 10/10. I could see they were short staff which is a shame but Fiona and Jamie were absolutely brilliant a d attentive. Fiona thank you for having us

Loved it ! The burger was amazing and dripping in filth just like a good burger should be, oozing like an infected eyeball ! The fries were decent enough.The wings were massive! Clearly from genetically modified protein guzzling steroid injected mega-chickens , the only time iv seen bigger wings was when I went on holiday and they were made by Airbus.

Hi,I’m about to turn 21 on Monday and I had a table of 8 (perfect for a pres before heading to town). I was a little apprehensive because I know bottemless brunches can be very tedious and stingy. However, we had a lovely and amazing waiter/supervisor called Danny and he made sure we had the best evening. Most of us have burgers and they were tasty, we had constant drinks and they were happy to refill because we were well behaved and fun. It really made my day and night, all the girls had fun, and I will defiantly return. Thank you so much to the team and Danny!!!

We travelled in especially to go to Absurd Bird, having heard good things. In the event, our experience just wasn't good. As is always the case, somewhere only has one chance to make a good first impression, and this place failed, quite miserably.Specifics? Service was very slow, and I mean terminally so. Took ages for anyone to take the order, and then, when the food came, it was wrong. On top of that, after having ordered some sweets, at the end, they never came. We waited ages, but nothing arrived. We asked for the bill, of course they were on there though.Food was ok. Can't say it was spectacular, but ok. Nothing special. Overall though, the whole effect is totally ruined by the plethora of delivery riders stood around in the restaurant waiting to pick up orders. OK, I get that the buisness wants to do takeaway and they are getting good money for it, but it's really distracting to have blokes stood around in helmet, boots and, lets face it, smelly leathers whilst you are trying to eat. It was pretty obvious too, that they didn't have to wait for their food.All in all, the impression was that the restaurant spend far too much time and effort looking after the delivery guys and not the ones in the restaurant. Surprised, really, that they delivery guys aren't being sent around to the "tradesman's" entrance, for want of a better term. No point in spending money making a place look nice if you are going to ruin any ambience that you have tried for by making it look like a cheap bikers caff!

Ordered via deliveroo and must say it was so delicious! Really hit a spot and was a great, tasty bit of fried chicken. The chicken burger was HUGE! So good though. Had to leave a review

Me and my boyfriend went for his birthday and they were absolutely lovey the service was brilliant and we got so much food for a very reasonable price. The vibe was strong and the food was great.

First the good stuff:The vegan tenders were probably the best fake chicken I've had and the waffles that came with them were very good. This almost made my review a 4star one.But...The service was very slow from the very beginning and also they badly over charged us as well, which we had to point out.I am pretty sure that this was due to human error because of being under staffed, so I hope the management see this review and take note.

Having recently moved to Bath from London, with its abundance of Chicken Cottage outlets, I found myself with a crave on for a feast of fried chicken. However, with it not being 2am after an all day sesh with the lads, I was looking for a bit more sophistication than your usual Shoreditch chicken bucket and having been to the Soho branch before I settled on Absurd bird. It was definitely a good choice!I was greeted straight away by a guy called Jamie who let me know some deals on drinks, I decided to go along with the offers and got a couple of cocktails. Touches of vanilla and elderflower with a kick from Tabasco and served with a huge chilli was as refreshing as morning dew, if the meadow was on fire - I loved it!My server Fi was amazing and had such great knowledge of the menu, helping me with my choices. She managed to convince me that some vegan chicken strips were the way to go and I could not argue here, succulent and tasty as you like. Crispy skin, fantastically seasoned and I would not have known it wasn't real chicken if I hadn't had selected it off the menu, 5 out of 5. Of course I still needed my actual Chicken fix and followed up with a messy burger and fries. The fries were perfectly cooked and seasoned with their own special blend of secret herbs and spices, probably not 11 in there but did put the fries in other restaurants to shame. And the burger, WOW, I had the chicken grilled but the key word in that dish is MESSY! It didn't take long before I was using utensils to help me as the bun just couldn't cope with the scrumptious array of fillings. Probably needed a small bath after finishing that, so in the perfect city for it...I certainly left a very happy boy.

Came for a friends birthday, so a group of 8 of us. Food was very tasty - I had just a basic chicken burger /fillet in a bun with added bacon. You can get a regular or large (two chicken fillets), the regular was plenty for me especially as the side of sweet potato fries I had was a good size too. Friends had the chicken wings which they enjoyed - very generous large sized wings that came in a silver canteen tray. Good selection of vegan/veggie options for one of our friends too. I had a farting unicorn milkshake for dessert, I was lured in by the name - it was essentially a piece of sponge cake on top of a vanilla milkshake with cream and sprinkles. It was an attempt at a freakshake, but they could have pulled it off better. Vanilla milkshake was a bit plain, especially with a plain Victoria sponge, so perhaps a different flavour would work better? Could have jazzed it up with more sweets and rainbow straws or something. A little bit lacklustre compared to some of the amazing freakshakes I’ve had elsewhere.Service was good/friendly, nice atmosphere downstairs. So all in all, would come back but would have something else for pudding!

After an unfortunate serious of events with the person i was supposed to be meeting not arriving (due to a miss communication) Chris kept me company and made sure i was ok on multiple occasions and tried anything he could to help. The food i eventually ordered was amazing and the staff were great. Keep up the good work. Sam

Always enjoy my food when I’m here. I always find the food to be really fresh and it’s always super quick. However the stand out from my experience really was the waitress we had (Fiona) she was so much fun! Super accommodating to me and my mates and really efficient. Would have actually liked her to join us at the table! Always nice to have somebody who doesn’t make taking your order etc super awkward.

Firstly I’d like to state that the food was great and has been across the three times I’ve visited the restaurant.Unfortunately the service has always been substandard. During our most recent visit we were sat at a booth next to the front door which is fine, but we then sat with menus for over 15 minutes until a drinks order was taken - this was not a particularly busy evening in the restaurant and all the staff looked quite relaxed speaking to each other at the bar.After our drinks order was taken it took at least 10 minutes for our drinks to arrive which is inconvenient but not the end of the world, unfortunately the waiter didn’t take the opportunity to take my food order despite my efforts to tell him we were ready. Another 10 minutes went by until another member of staff returned to take our food order.Our food came out within a perfectly normal amount of time and as stated previously the food was great as it always is. Unfortunately when it was literally thrown down on the table by the waiter he again walked away without any follow up service, so after awkwardly trying to wave down the three waiters walking circles around the bar unsuccessfully I went to the bar and asked for the sauces the waiter forgot to ask us for. Fortunately our meals were fine because nobody came to check everything was okay, generally the service we received was lazy. It’s table service The only perk of being sat next to the door was the entertainment of listening to the staff telling every potential table that walked through the door there was an hour wait on food even though the place wasn’t exactly buzzing and food seemed to be going out fine. A table of 5/6 actually took them up on the hour wait only to have their full round of drinks dropped all over them (appreciate this is an unhappy accident that happens in restaurants!) and when they were moved to a preferable table, another waiter stopped them and showed a table of two over who were also going to take them up on their hour wait for food.We waited with empty plates for a long time, as you can probably tell from the above paragraph we had time on our hands. I waved down the waitress when we got bored of waiting and instead of asking us if we wanted desserts we were asked if we wanted the bill. i took her up on her offer but the plates were left uncleared. We got the bill and to add insult to injury our kids ‘refillable’ orange squash had been charged 3 times and not deducted also they had added the kids dessert, I assume in order to make the meal deal work On the toll system but had failed to offer it to us when assuming we’d like the bill. We waited again, but now nobody would even respond to my waves so I had to go to the bar. The barman saw me, as in made eye contact, but turned around and spent a minute fiddling about with your glass washer which looks like it has a bit of an annoying issue with the power button and start cycle button because whilst swearing at it wasn’t working, he eventually managed to get it going. Good news for me, time for me to pay but unfortunately no pleasantries about my meal, no questions about my service. So I decided no thank you, keep the Money from the over charge on the drinks, I won’t deal with this at the time and have an embarrassing conversation about frankly how crap the service is. I’d rather pay the bill and not come back again.I worked and managed restaurants for 10 years and I am truly embarrassed for whoever it is owns your restaurant

The food was absolutely amazing! I had a vegan burger and it was honestly the best not-chicken I’ve ever eaten. My dad had a Korean-inspired burger and said the flavours were really incredible. The service was slightly lacking but it was a very good meal

This place delivers on all the savoury and sweet vegan wishes, with uncanny vegan chicken, waffles, mac and cheese and amazing selection of dips! They also have deals on cocktails regardless of the day and great discounts with the app - and if i wasnt going back for all that, it would be for Fiona and Jamie- best service ever!

Delicious food, exellent food and fantastic bottomless alcohol - what more could you want! Definitely recommend 🥂🍗

Wow..... what an amazing evening! Incredible food with the added amazing service! Both Jamie and Marcu made us feel right at home. Couldn’t of been happier with the service,had perfect suggestions for Jamie who suggested the vegan burger,which was lovely as I’ve struggled in the past to find food catered for me! Most amazing evening perfect drinks! Highly recommend! Will be visiting again :)

Had the best night ever with amazing good food and brilliant service from the lovely Jamie and Marcu, I would 100 percent recommend this to anyone coming to Bath. Marcu was very accommodating, catering to our needs and making cocktail recommendations throughout the night to ensure we were very happy. Would highly recommended the strawberry blonde cocktails and AB Waffles.

Went for lunch with colleagues - great halloween decor, friendly waitress (don't sit near the door if you feel the cold - I had no choice and was I cold!), over loud music (you had to shout to make yourself heard by the person next to you, no chance of talking to anyone else). Chicken and waffles/burgers, american style food. Nothing wrong with it all. The vegan chicken and waffles was surprisingly good. The sweet potato fries OK. The all shared an artichoke and spinach dip which was very rich. I gave it an average as it really is (and that is my personal opinion), one step up from KFC. Also I would not return because of the loud music.

Fave cocktail spot, and the food is also banging!! The artichoke and spinach dip is hands down amazing. 2 for £10 cocktails all day every day is a winner!

My wife and I have been in England for over a month now and the lack of spice has been getting to us. Absurd Bird (Bath) was an oasis in our dining out! The chicken and waffles was absolutely superb. Simply put, the food and service was the best we have had yet. Bea the manager made our experience truly memorable. We will certainly be back!

We visited here on a Sunday around 5pm. There were a few people eating but it was not busy. We were shown to a booth and that was it. We waited, and waited, and waited! We were opposite the bar, so the barman could clearly see we hadn't been served, but still no-one came. He was standing there doing nothing. A waitress walked past about three times, and didn't even make eye contact, although she had clearly seen us. After 20 minutes of being utterly ignored we left... I don't think I've ever got up and left a restaurant before, but the customer service was atrocious. With so many other good restaurants in the vicinity, customers should be valued. This was an absolute joke. The staff should be ashamed!

We sat outside and watched the world go by. Good menu with vegan options. Serving size good. Food is fresh and delicious. Attentive staff.

Marko made us feel very welcome, food was cooked to perfection, cocktails took a little long but that will be excused for the brilliant food and good standards from the staff.

My friend and I visited the restaurant last weekend as we were looking for vegan food opinions and found the restaurant on happy cow. We shared the vegan mac n cheese, the vegan chicken burger and the vegan chicken and waffles. The food was amazing, one of the best vegan chicken we’ve both had so far. Can definitely recommend

We were visting bath for a couple of days got into the centre around noon weren't quite hungry yet but had a look at our options for later. We checked the menu board and where approached by Jamie who explained about the app they have to give us the best dining experience, he was very inviting, with brilliant positive attitude and really made us feel like he wanted us to dine here. so we went away and returned later. again greeted by Jamie who was just as smiley as before, we had great conversation he made us feel at home, and helped us get the best out of there drink and food menus. we really had a good time and shook hands as we left.... it was so good that we decided to come back before we headed back to London, once again Jamie was there, he was genuinely happy to see us back! got us the same table and made us feel at home we had laughs through out our meal, the food was incredible! but our experience was made my Jamie! we were happy to hear about the London branches such as soho which we truly wish Jamie worked at!! Hopefully see you in Soho on our next visit!

Vegan mac and cheese was excellent, very cheesy. Vegan waffles with ‘chicken’ tasted so realistic, definitely recommend for anyone looking for a dirty vegan meal. Also excellent meat options on the menu so it’s good for groups of all dietary requirements

Went with my daughters for a last day of holiday treat. The food was tasty and hot, kids enjoyed theirs too. Our waitress was really friendly and chatty. But.....the service was so slow! It really spoiled what otherwise was fantastic. Speed up please!

Lovely laid back atmosphere. The staff were brilliant, pleasant and talkative and really hard working. The food was cooked fresh but wasn’t greasy, there was a good portion each and everything was delicious !The price was good for the amount of food that we got and for it’s quality ! Would happily go back !

Visited here for the first time on lunchtime with my partner.Decided to share various dishes; fries, chicken tenders, mac & cheese and wings.The fries were coated in some sort of powder seasoning - they were soggy. The chicken tenders were okay (came with two dips), but they weren't very flavourful and the accompanying mayonnaise dip didn't taste quite right. The mac and cheese, although had real cheese in it (and not just the cheap sauce), was again quite bland. It is a chicken-based restaurant, but other than wings or tenders, there's not much else to the menu - especially if you don't fancy waffles with syrup. The interior is tired and set around a bar with Jagermeister on tap. Booths around the sides of the ground floor are dark. Toilets are hidden away upstairs, not that ideal. It's a little bizarre for a restaurant. All in all, won't be returning.

On our recent trip to Bath, my Partner and I stumbled upon Absurd Bird and decided to give it a try. We were greeted with a smile and promptly seated. The menu was right up our street and we were spoilt for choice. We went for the Chicken and Waffles with sides of sweet potato fries and some XL Buffalo wings. There was a LOT of food and it was all delicious; I especially enjoyed the wings. We were served by Jamie, who gave us a fantastic experience and offered top notch customer service from word go. He is truly a credit to this place and we will most definitely be eager to return when we are next in Bath. P.S. Nottingham would definitely benefit from a restaurant like this. It would go down a storm and myself and my friends alone would keep it in business ;)

I don't understand why England struggle so much with Buffalo chicken but this place managed to nail them. The Vegan chicken and waffles was also insane. Enjoyed my visit very much so much so I'm taking my brother to a London branch, I hope it's as good as the Bath one!

A Fantastic start to our evening! Christopher (on only his 2nd day) looked after us and created some beautiful and tasty cocktails! (With the help of Ben.) A short but lovely visit, and easy to recommend. Good value for money on the cocktails too!

Weekend brunch menu was good value for money and an excellent way to recover from the night before! The deep fried pickles and chicken wings were our favourites by far.
