This place is almost perfect, great clean accommodation, setting. Bats flying within feet whilst enjoying an evening drink by the water. The elderly lady who showed us to the room gave me an up and down look with one raised eyebrow, I presume because I turned up in my work gear. The breakfast was unorganized, no plates or milk. Almost like it was the opening day. All things said it was nearly my favorite.
Stopped for a light lunch with my beautiful girlfriend. We had ham and cheese baguettes, and a pint. I had some onion in mine too. All enjoyed in the glorious English sunshine.
Food was fresh and tasty. Service was friendly. The pub was clean. All in all, very good. Would come back again.

The Sunday carvery was the best I've ever had! Generous portions of three perfectly cooked meats, all juicy and full of flavour. Great selection of sides too. Can’t wait to go back next week!
Nice pub, cosy, friendly, but just launched a new menu and food was pretty terrible. I had a fish fillet with pesto crumb...the crumb top was awful tasting and the fish was tasteless. I asked for veg instead of salad which had zero flavour and was overcooked. My partner's battered cod and chips was greasy and the chips were just husks. Real shame as it seemed to be a nice family run pub but food was a real let down.
Sorry.
If they needed more time to heat fryers up to temp...we would have waited.
Lovely steak pasty the best. Great chunks of steak, lovely cooked veggies. Seasoning well balanced and the pastry was tasty and light. Will go back soon to try the cheese and onion.

Went for Sunday lunch with family.
Booked in advance for midday, no mention on booking that they required the table back at 14.00. On arrival , I assume it was the licencee landlord kept making a point that they required the table back at 14.00, annoying to say the least. Food quality, I would describe as very average, akin to a school dinner. Thinly sliced pork reheating in gravy, veg, roast potatoes and Yorkshire pudding OK. Desert again average poor presentation. Best part of meal espresso. Would I return, NO. Very average experience.

Great chippy. Plaice & chips for just over a tenner which is very competitive for the South West imho. Very fresh and high quality. Highly recommended!
Went for Sunday lunch, Lovely old pub with very friendly staff. Sunday lunches were great quality and plenty of it. Dog Friendly with a very nice outside eating area. The lunch could have just done with being a bit warmer but would go back again.
