Outstanding as always. The Team at the Dartmouth Rockfish are fantastic. So attentive and nothing is too much trouble. We go every year on our way to Cornwall and it is our best meal of the year!! The fish is incredible and John Dory was on the menu this visit which was a real treat!! I can’t praise highly enough, a wonderful experience from start to finish
Often you read reviews and wonder if they are too good, have no fear here, great food and service. Perfect chips, I wasn't sure if I could eat it all, but it was too good not to, the fish was as fresh and juicy as ever eaten, my partner loved her fish cakes, she often needs help to finish, not today. Not had fish and chips elsewhere in Weymouth, so can't by comparison state they are the best, but I'd be very surprised if another chip shop matched them. Good box with salt and vinegar, mayo, ketchup and tartare on the table, thank you for a great meal, licenced so a drink available too at a good price, nothing negative to say at all
Great selection of vegan friendly burgers on the menu. Initially thought the price was a little high yet the burger varieties were very tasty and with a pot of coleslaw and generous bowl of spicy chips it was an enjoyable meal.
It’s been a while since we were here and it’s changed a lot. It’s still a good pub to stop at during a long walk but the food has taken a bit of a dive. I had a £27 rump steak which was very ordinary indeed and overpriced for what it was. Gnocchi was similarly dull and overpriced. We’ll probably go back but only for a pint and a packet of crisps.
Il took my kids to explore rock,
Decided il have some posh pub food,
We order pasta bazil tomato dish of the kids menu,
When it came out it was just basic pale small pasta tubes with thin water tomatoes sauce she was very disappointed.
For the price il could cook better at home.
It's was very over rated in price aswell.
£14.00
For four scoop ice cream £3.50 a scoop total rip off.
The curry was very bland and disappointed
And the ploughman's was a shocker £23.50
Only thing was good was kids sausage and chips.
And the view.
Went for dinner with the family and friends and we were all extremely impressed.
The service was excellent. From entering to leaving, everyone was great, everyone was friendly and couldn't do enough to make sure we were well looked after.
The food was fantastic, every dish from the childrens to adults, starters, mains and desert was amazing. Well presented, cooked to perfection and extremely tasty.
We'll definitely go back when in the area again and would highly recommend going there.
Nice little pub, close to the seafront. Had the fish of the day, which was sea bass, with greens, mash potato and lemon and dill butter. Fish was excellently cooked, with buttery mash, and fresh greens, cooked with a crunch, really delicious. Followed by the apple crumble with clotted cream, also very tasty! Would definitely recommend.
Tasteless food and highly priced.
Coffee at 3.60 a cup was hot, brown water. A bacon sandwich was 2 packet slices of white bread covered in 'spread' and the bacon had been kept a bit warm somewhere for a long time.. it was hard, stringy. The croissant was something akin to one from a supermarket packet of 6. Total bill over £17!
Please can owners occasionally eat the food theyre serving and check if they are offering value for money!?
It was quite shockingly poor and we'll not be going back.
View or no view, it doesn't make up for poor quality food.
Stayed here and "ate in" - in a relaxed informal restaurant . Impressed with bespoke breakfast (no need for lunch) and dinner - the moules were the best I have tasted for a long time - and as for the jolly Spanish waitress. Would recommend and hope to return.
I guess if staying here for any length of time the menu would need to vary a bit.
