The food is not that good. Service is ok and ambience is alright. The food veggies are half cooked and not cut properly. Seems like just boiled and fried in oil with chillies. No such taste and oily. When asked about the issue, were told this is how it is made here. Haven't had such experience anywhere in UK. Pics added for reference

Just spent a long weekend in Cornwall and ate here on our 2nd day for the evening. The kids enjoyed the food and drinks. I liked the biryani and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. The children made a little mess but they were so nice about it. I'd recommend!

Great food. Can't fault this place. Lovely sheek kebab and tasty piquant chilli and garlic chicken with superb onion and garlic rice. Service with a smile. Don't go anywhere else!

Avoid! Very late. And when they did turn up I was given a tiny bag (£35). One popadom, a tiny naan, and a prawn curry with 4 prawns in that I paid £17 for just the curry. I used to live in Birmingham and this is shocking!

Mediocre at best. Popped in here for a take away Easter Monday, neither curry tasted as we expected, service was uninterested and hard work. Certainly wouldn't bother again.

Just here on holiday and fancied an Indian, was very impressed and it stayed warm for our 20 minute journey back, big portions and lots of flavours, the keema naan was very nice, would highly recommend.

I had never been here before despite having lived in the centre of Helston for nearly 2 years now. Me and my partner went in on Saturday just gone and I have to say, I was very impressed. While the Chicken Bhuna wasn't as spicy as I expected (have had hotter), it didn't matter because it was a very nice curry regardless. My partner also loved the Tikka Masala. The naan was very nicely cooked and the papadums were very fresh. I could not fault it really and as it was takeaway, we didn't eat in but the restaurant looked very clean and the tables nicely laid out so will definitely go there again and eat in at some point. But overall yes, no complaints and really nice spread of food with decent portions for the price. I think sometimes you can be skeptical about takeaway food if you never had it before because often times they can be cold, too sweet or salty but no, this restaurant served some of the best Indian I have eaten. Definitely recommend!

Dined mid-week and the restaurant was quiet. Friendly, warm welcome. Food was very nice and full of authentic flavours. The only let down was no alcohol licence but you can bring your own. Highly recommended for food and if you fancy a beer afterwards, there's plenty of pubs close by.

Very bad experience 🙄 yesterday

Worst food experience ever! Wouldn’t recommend this to even a stranger. The price is a rip off and the food quality was the worst because the curry dishes were very sweet compared to the spicy we ordered and the naan's were very tiny compared to the large size. Worst service ever!

Ordered in advance for delivery and it was delivered on time and the food was still hot, both of which are a rarity when ordering food for delivery. All dishes were absolutely delicious. Would definitely recommend this place- fantastic food and service. Thank you!

Good food and service as always

Having read the reviews we had some doubts about visiting but decided to go ahead. Have to say that everything was very good. Cannot fault the food, the staff or the restaurant itself. The owners obviously took heed of the reviews because there was no carpet; a nice, new laminate floor instead. The air freshener was plugged in, but no overpowering smell. It looks like the whole restaurant has been refurbished. Finally, they accepted my credit card when we had finished. ⭐ ⭐⭐ ⭐⭐

I've visited a few times now the tawa is highly recommend, the staff were very helpful, if you want alcohol you have to take your own in,the staff will give you glass's for your wine etc 100% a little beauty

Delivery; disappointed, 5 items ordered only 4 arrived, when contacted I was told i could have 2 for 1 next time, so the wife had to go without her popadom tonight!! What we had was good!!

Food was very good but the restaurant needs updating and the carpet is filthy. Take your own alcohol, there is a 10% service charge which I don't think it warrants. Fine to use as a take away but don't eat in.

First time here and will surely come again. Best Indian food in Cornwall I've had yet. Sadly I am editing this review and will never go here again. We left a £5 tip and later noted on the bill a %10 service charge to automatically take a tip. This is used for large groups, normally, but we were only 3. I feel we should have been told or don't grab the cash tip so fast.

Food was good, plenty of flavours. Decent portions. Never had any issues with this restaurant.

My order was over an hour late- I asked for an order update by text as per just eat- never got one - then reached out to the restaurant after waiting nearly 2 hours to be told order usually take an hour -but “what did I want them to do” when the food FINALLY arrived it was all cold. Food ordered at 6.30 with eating aged arrival 7.30 that came at 9! Customer service from restaurant & just eat - awful! Spent over £80 to be given less than half back by credit! Unacceptable!

The food from this place is very good and that's from someone who originally comes from the famous curry mile in Manchester. Vindaloo is cooked perfect in quality spices and not used as a revenge for the usual drunken hero, it's tasty and full of meat and a bit of potato that I personally really like. Garlic man is moist and tasty and the poppadoms crisp and delightful along with the chutney's.

Really overpowering air freshener which detracts from the really tasty food. No atmosphere and strange colour changing light. The food is really very good though so worth a visit.

The only thing stopping this getting full marks is that the lamb was a bit chewy! The passanda was delicious, the rice perfectly cooked and the bhajis and naan were spot on. Would definitely order again!

Though found us table as we had not booked, only ordered main, and it tasted hurried. They were busy with takeaways. And other bookings.

Lovely food, bit pricey like all takeaways it seems. Advice , bring own booze.

No mention of mandatory booking we arrived at 9.15pm resturant closes at 10.00 it was empty on Thursday evening but we were not allowed asking for reservation.

Grubby looking from the outside and average at best food. Service experience was lacklustre and un friendly, we also asked to take with us what we couldn't finish and whilst I was getting cash out, as they don't accept cards, they dumped the foil containers on the table for my partner to fill up, and then I see they've added 10% service charge lol..that certainly came off the bill!!

My wife is a vegetarian, but she loves her curry, so on her birthday which happens to be today I called and asked if they could do me a mushroom, onion and tomato balti, IE a chicken balti but without chicken and with extra mushrooms ... I got a big fat NO as a reply , how rude, We will never be using these again this screams out to me that all these are pre prepared I mean if you can't add mushrooms to a balti sauce you must be pretty useless . Well that's one local who will never use India restaurant and takeaway in helston ever again and on my wife's birthday too .

Lamb jalfrezi, peshwari naan, onion bhajis Asked for a lamb jalfrezi and got given a lamb tikka jalfrezi.. A bit weird.. I guess the only lamb they had was already marinated in tikka spices? The curry was decent, enough meat, sauce good, bhajis were OK.. Something I've noticed with naan breads over the last years or two when with various Indian takeaways are that the naans a very similar wherever you buy a curry from.. I'm sure they are brought in from wholesalers??

My family and I visited this restaurant after making a reservation online. Not alot of space to dine in. Having read the reviews we were looking forward to having a nice Indian meal for dinner, however left not satisfied. The food wasn't as great tasting as some on the reviews allowed us to believe. Also, quite expensive for the type of food and service you receive. Service was not that great, a table of 6 which ordered 6 can drinks and was only bought 3 glasses. Also the shish kebab was ordered and we had to ask for mint sauce - this should have been offered as it was complimentary- for these simple errors, device charge was not welcome. Unfortunately not to happy to have dined here.

Traditional Bangladeshi food served by friendly staff. We were welcomed and informed we could bring our own alcohol as they are not licenced. My partner nipped out and purchased a bottle of wine which we enjoyed with our food. Chicken tikka Jalfrezi was delicious.

This is our go to place for an Indian. Never had a bad experience. Plenty of food and always hot. 😊

Had a takeaway although,it tasted good it was cold and only had for bits of meat and swimming in sauce.

Just phoned to order a set meal from the menu to be told no set menu been looking forward to a Indian all day oh well of to Tesco better value you have lost our custom

The poppadoms and sauces here are actually great, as are the naan breads, but that's where the good points end. Three different curries ordered by our group were all very bland, one of them with a very odd composition. All three of us were subsequently ill with a stomach upset for two days following our visit.

Don't listen to the negatives, these people don't know their Indian food. I ordered the Peshwari naan with fried rice, butter chicken, shish kebab and chilli chicken tawa. It tasted very good and the prices were reasonable. The service was also brilliant. Can't fault anything. Will be returning. Many thanks

Eaten here many times because the food is extremely tasty & good size portions. The staff are very friendly & helpful. It's quite a small restaurant so best to book if you want to eat in. They also do take-away & will deliver within a 3mile radius. Thank u India restaurant for another lovely meal tonight.

Do not waste your time or money ordering here. They only have 1 star as it won't let me post this with none! We ordered our food via phone saying we would pick it up, arrived and paid. Then watched order after order come in and leave, and still we waited! Constantly being told our order would be a minute, so we waited and waited, after almost an hour of waiting we gave up and demanded our money back, which after a bit of an aggressive argument from the staff we eventually got back. This is the sister company of Angelo Asia who also kept us waiting 1 hour and 40 minutes for our order last year so I would suggest not using either of the Indian restaurants in Helston, if anyone can recommend one nearby please do as I am staving now 😂

Great selection very tasty bring your own beer or wine which can keep the cost down. Staff very helpful would recommended booking. Car park not far away which is great.

Service very good and polite! Only reason I've added the star! But the food.. Oh god no! I spent over £30 on dinner and the only thing I could eat was the chips and some rice.. Ordered two separate dishes, non of which are said to contain coconut. But it all tasted exactly the same, the sweetness of it all was extreme! And in both dishes I was chewing on so much coconut bits it feels like I have hairty teeth! So with sweet pilau rice, sweet mint sauce, sweet chutney, sweet butter chicken and sweet tikka masala its like a whole dinner of desserts, but sweeter! I really couldn't eat it. Popadoms were great tho!

Superb food, individual menu, not the same choices you get in most places. We truly enjoyed our meal and the good service. You can bring your own alcohol as they don't have a licence, but that doesn't stop it from being very popular. Probably a good idea to book.

Bring your own booze, soft drinks and water have to be paid for,over £2 a can so beware, portions good, meal was nice but nothing special, would like to have seen some paneer options on the menu as I don't eat meat, place was quite busy and seemed to be doing a decent trade in takeaways so must be popular

Small cosy and friendly. The food is always great never a let down. It does cost extra to eat in but whichever you choose you won't be disappointed.

By far my favourite take away restaurant in Helston. Lovely for a meal out too. Would advise booking for larger groups as gets very busy at times. Overall a lovely experience at home or out.

Visited on recent holiday (Wednesday 24th May) as were from the West Midlands we have been to many Indian restaurants but the food here supersedes anything we've had before. From the starters to the rice everything tasted delicious and we couldn't fault the place, only a minutes walk to a car park too. Does not have a license to sell Alcohol but this doesn't matter as plenty of shops nearby, highly recommended!

The one star is for friendly service,I had a take away meal of vegetable rice and veg Balti, it only contained potato andonion,but apart from that it was the blandest bland curry I have ever tasted in my 40 years of indian cuisine eating,find somewhere else,don't waste your money.

Over priced and nothing to write home about. £3.25 for two mini veg samosas that look like they came from Tesco's frozen isle. Would try more Indian cuisine restaurants around the area before returning. All though the staff were polite and friendly it didn't add to the charm you would find in most other Indian restaurants. The food was meadicore and again over priced.
