Pasty ok. Refused cash saying there are no banks in newquay. Found out later that there is a bank and post office. It is illegal to refuse cash, very disappointed.

We go to the Cornish bakery Newquay every weekend, their chocolate twists are the best ever and so are their cappuccinos and hot chocolates. The staff are lovely too

Came here with my girlfriend for coffee. It’s so sweet and quaint we nearly walked straight past but luckily saw the bright orange and were drawn in! Coffee was really lovely, service was great and we were recommended the almond croissant by the staff member serving us. Unreal!!!!!!! We’re totally hooked. Can’t wait to come back and try everything else ❤️❤️❤️☕️☕️☕️ would love to see some more vegan cake options added to the menu too so we can bring our friends!

Just love their Cauliflower and chick pea pasties, but OH NO!! they've changed the pastry - it was a lovely crisp wholemeal type. Now something whiter and not so crisp. A real shame.

The best place for coffee in town. Sit in or takeaway, it’s always consistently good. The pastries and pasties are really good too but the coffee is what draws me in every time. It’s one thing having good coffee beans but knowing how to use them is a whole other thing and they get it right every time. The staff are really warm and welcoming and the store is always clean and inviting. My go to coffee shop every time ☺️

Just wandering down the street having taken the dogs to the beach. Stopped for a pasty, yummy, and had the best cup of coffee in years. Well worth a visit!

We nipped in to The Cornish Bakery for a cream tea, having seen it advertised in the window on a cold and damp November day and weren’t disappointed. In fact we spent over £40 in total as we were so happy with the goods on sale. We had the aforementioned cream tea, more than acceptable, and also bought a box of frozen Cornish pasties to take home with us, a real bargain. Of course we also had to buy freshly cooked Cornish pasties to have for dinner when we got home that evening. 😁 Overall, clean and welcoming with good food and some bargains to be gained. We would definitely return if we were back in the area in the future.

Stopped for a flat white coffee and pastry treat! The coffee tasted amazing and just what was needed to pick me up. The look and taste of the cherry & almond croissant didn’t disappoint. It was as tasty at the ends as it was in the middle - filling all the way through! Will definitely be back again soon!

My friend who stays near Newquay wanted to stop in this local cafe, supporting local businesses and a regular customer. I had the almond and cherry croissant - so yummy. My husband the Cornish pudding which was also scrumpy. Lovely place to stop for a cuppa and a treat!

This was my favourite pasty shop in Cornwall. Ive been coming since there was just the one in Newquay. They have now expanded a great deal and regrettably I don’t think it’s for the better. I get pasties just once a year when we come for our family holiday so I really look forward to eating several cheese & onions. I had one a few days ago and it was ok but the pastry was quite industrial - not flaky. But it’s my fave shop so we went back again today. They were out of cheese & onion - fair enough. We asked if any might be ready soon and they said 45mins. So we wandered about for 45mins and returned. When we asked about getting some now the woman standing at the oven didn’t even turn to face us and said ‘nope. 45 mins.’ We were a bit confused - ‘ You said that 45mins ago?’ Again, didn’t even turn around and barked ‘45mins’. We were honestly taken aback by how rude she was. Maybe she’s having a bad day? But instead we went around the corner and had one from Jamie’s and I’ve got to be honest that theirs was so much tastier! Very flaky and more filling. So I guess I’ve got a new pasty shop for my annual pilgrimage!

Bakery was clean and the window display was very pretty! Had a cauliflower pasty - which was fab and an great coffee. Took away a piece of Cornish Pudding and this was to die for - will def be back for more - really yummy!

The pasties here are so good but the real star of the show is the pastries. You can taste the quality in every bite and it really sets the standard high. I’m not sure what it is you do to make them so nice but don’t ever change it! A fresh buttery croissant in the morning with a flat white is the best way to start the day for sure. The coffee is consistently amazing and every time I walk in I’m greeted with the best smells. It’s impossible to just walk past!

Came in for a visit today. Shop was really busy but the staff were amazing and greeted us with a very warm Cornish welcome! We had a few delicious pastries which we shared between us all (we couldn’t decide which to choose) and some of the nicest coffees we’ve ever had! Union is my new go to favourite and the cloudy lemonades were a hit with the kids! We will definitely be back soon for more Cornish pudding 😋

Popped in for a quick cuppa with the kids today. Really liked the feel of the place, it was small and a couple of people were ordering before us but there was plenty of room to wait. Plenty of seating outside and a few inside. We chose to take ours to go. Cakes were absolutely amazing!! Very unusual flavours but plenty to choose from. Service top notch, really friendly (and quick) staff which is nice on hot days when you don't want to be hanging around in a queue. Will be popping back again!

As part of function in the celebration of the coronation I recently placed an order for a number of scones for a big cream tea. I could not be happier with both the product & the service received. Enough scones to feed 40 people & all cooked fresh to order in the morning ready for collection. Not a single person had a bad thing to say about them, all raving about how lovely they were. Great service & will happily recommend this store/company to anyone looking for a supplier of baked goodness. Thank you from both myself & everyone at Tregolls Lodge.

Managed to fit in a visit to the bakery after their stunning refit. The decor is so light and comfortable and seating just perfect. Great service received as always and the flat white really does hit the spot as well as the Cornish Pudding treat!

This is a small place and doesn’t look particularly exciting. However, they have excellent, high quality, coffee - and most importantly, they are knowledgeable and know how to make it well.

Sadly I can’t comment on the quality of the food because the waitress behind the counter on 29/11 was so moody, miserable and sullen we walked out without buying anything! Appalling!

Went here for our first pasty’s in Cornwall as they looked delicious! Extremely expensive (£17+) for 4 pasty’s and a sausage roll. Service was ‘ok’ but we were only getting takeaway so not an issue. Got them back to our holiday home to have for our dinner. Disappointing to say the least, too much pastry, not enough filling and 2 of my children didn’t even have any meatIn theirs! Mainly onions. Try one of the many other bakeries in the street, much better value and quality.

Honestly, this place is awesome! The staff are second to none and the pastys, in my opinion, are the best in town! I never go anywhere else!

Me and my giant pal visited here today and OMG where do I start.

I called for some of the gorgeous rhubarb and apple pasties to take home to be told they were sold out. The assistant went out of her way to make sure I got some by freshly baking some for me. Called back to the shop an hour later and they were ready for me. The assistant was friendly, pleasant and very helpful, will definitely be back next year!

On our family holiday we decided to stop at the cornish bakery for lunch. We ordered 10 traditional pasties for £28.50 then a cheese and onion pasty and a sausage roll. The woman serving us seemed confused so we paid for the 10 pasties seperatly to the other two. Once we'd paid, the manager interrupted the girl serving us, wanting to know exactly what we'd ordered. We went through our order again with her (it was as if she didn't believe us). We took our pasties outside the shop and shared them out between the family. As a family of 12 it was obvious-when one member was left without food- that we were missing a traditional pasty. We went into the shop and explained we were missing one. The manager looked at us and frowned. She walked off then said the would have to look at the receipt (even though that would have 10 pasties on because that's what we'd paid for!). 5 minutes later another manager came out who was just as rude as the other manager. She made out like we were 'trying it on'. Then blamed us saying we should have Been more clearer when ordering!

Visiting Newquay and decided to call for a mid afternoon snack when we came across this wonderful little bakery. Staff were friendly and helpful and the pasties and cakes are amazing. You just have to try the lemon and blueberry scones and the passion fruit lemonade is to die for. Thank you for a wonderful little treat.

I want to say a big thank you to Sophie! The staff at The Cornish Bakery are so lovely and amazingly helpful. We have been in Newquay for a week with our children, one of 3 with a dairy intolerance. Finding a quick on the go lunch can be a nightmare, but Sophie was so quick to help and kind even taking a picture of the ingredients so we could double check it was okay! It was above and beyond the sort of service we had anywhere else all week. We ended up going back a lot with our very happy little boy. Thanks again Sophie!!

Visited the bakery last weekend to see what options they had a for a dairy free vegetarian toddler. Sophie was very quick to help and advise by taking photos of the boxes ‘out back’ for me to check the ingredients list. This meant we brought pasties on that day and went back again the following day :)

I dropped into this bakery for a couple of pasties for the long drive home. Very tasty traditional Cornish pasties. Zena, who was friendly and had a lovely smile even though it was first thing in the morning, suggested taking some frozen ones home in the box that keeps them frozen, so I can still have them hundreds of miles from Cornwall.

In one word, great pasties, but an even better server - Sophie, who served with a smile, recommendations, and real care for her customers, even in the middle of serving and pulling hot pastries out of the oven with a massive queue she was great and even noticed a little mishap, sorting it out simply and with Grace, she deserves a medal.

Visited this bakery for the first time and can honestly say the cream tea’s have to be the best we have ever tasted.......and we have tasted a few in 23 years of Cornwall. Maybe a little dearer than some,but the taste & quality was worth every penny.

Popped into a bakery in Newquay who didn’t sell croissants they advised is to try Cornish bakery so we did and what a great surprise the girl who served us was fantastic and I tried a range of croissants and even went home with a cream tea for our lunch food was superb best I’ve had and we have been in Cornwall for 5 years.

Came down to cornwall for the day popped in for a nice white hot chocolate as they are just the best. The member of staff was really nice she wasn't coffee trained but i think she did an excellent job, I actually work for the bakery so i got staff discount :) . Just would like to say brilliant service and the hot chocolates were excellent. Will definitely pop back in next time I am in Cornwall again.

The pasties are absolutelty delicious, but the best thing about this place is the customer service. The young woman who works 6 days per week here always has a smile for us and a very, very warm welcome. Outstanding customer servie is a rare thing these days and so we appreciate the quality of both the pasties and the person serving them.

This place has the best coffee, excellent quality and price. Their staff are always extra friendly and welcoming, particularly the manageress and the guy who started there recently. Always good to chat and very community driven.

What a lovely apartment, modern furnishings, well equipped & good location. We used it as a base to tour around Cornwall but there are plenty of attractions within a couple of minutes walk or drive from the apartment. The only minor complaint is there is only 1 key supplied which was awkward if one couple wanted to go off on their own. A very welcome gift of fudge & a bottle of wine was waiting for us on arrival.

Went in to buy some cooked pasties and some frozen ones (to take home), while there we saw that they do Grand Union coffee as well, and so had drinks as well.

I stopped by the bakery in a hurry to pick up breakfast on my way to see a friend. I bought a pain au raisin with a latte to go. It was worth the money and I'm glad I chose to come here! I have my coffee loyalty card and will be coming here more often whenever I'm in Newquay

I came here with my family for some traditional Cornish pasties and they did not disappoint!

Stopped by here for a mid-morning snack. Having been in Newquay for a few days we still hadn't had a pasty yet and were overwhelmed with the amount of pasty shops. How do you know which one to go to? Well i'm beyond glad we chose this one. The pasties were so nice and had big chunks of meat in which were just so good. We even bought some more to take home with us. For comparison, we bought pasties from another shop on a different day and there was hardly any meat in at all and what was there were just tiny pieces of mince meat. So yes, I highly recommend this bakery, I wouldn't want to go elsewhere.

Title sums it up. Scones the best in Cornwall for me. Coffee reasonably priced and staff friendly. The pastel de nata took me straight back to my favourite cafe on the Algarve.

Went to The Cornish Bakery in Newquay after visiting the one in Falmouth. Have to say these are the best pasties in Cornwall which I tasted. So much variety I definitely recommend the Bacon and Leek!

This was the first time I'd tried a real Cornish Pasty, as I've never been a fan of meat and potato pasties and the like. I was walking past at around 5pm and they were selling off the remaining stock for £1.50 each. I basically got the massive one, I've forgotten the official title. Since I'd not long had tea, I decided to take it home with me for later. The pasty was so hot that I'm at a loss how they managed to achieve such temperatures in a food item. We're talking temperatures of scientific interest. As previously mentioned, I had this when I got home, which was at least 4 hours after I bought it and it was still hot. I'm not even exaggerating.
