11/10 Excellent menu comprising of fresh, rustic Italian food. Fantastic atmosphere nestled in the heart of the Cotswolds in a quirky spot. Giuseppe’s is unapologetically authentic and the driving factor of that is the owner and brilliant chef Giuseppe, who will take time to come and meet diners throughout your evening and make you feel incredibly welcome. The food is wonderful and my family and I have been coming here for years and I cannot recommend it enough.

The food in Giuseppe’s was fantastic and the red wine was great too. Sarah was an excellent host with such a fun character. We’re were visiting the area and popped in here and so glad we did. It’s friendly, relaxed and authentic. Would highly recommend

Magnificent night last night, with work colleagues. Food fabulous, as was the wine. Hospitality great. You want an authentic Italian experience - this is it! I cannot, for the life of me, understand the negative reviews. What you see is what you get. If the restaurant is open, then Giuseppe, the chef patron, cooks for you, with passion and, Italian flair and temperament. Embrace the experience!! If you want bland formulaic pseudo-Italian, book in at Bella Italia.

Wonderful meal last night at Giuseppe's. We both had fish which was perfectly cooked . You are welcomed warmly on arrival by Sarah .The young staff are polite and knowledgeable about the menu. We wanted to finish our meal with a cheese which was not on the menu this was not a problem and we were presented with a lovely cheese and fruit platter with 2 glasses of port . Giuseppe now has a small Deli in the restaurant selling authentic Italian products. He also sells slices of what I think is the best Pizza in Nailsworth.

Delicious as always, Have followed Guiseppes for years and so glad he has settled in Nailsworth. Lovely food, excellent wine and a unique atmosphere. What’s not to live?!

Love, love, love this restaurant. Food cooked with care and knowledge, fabulous flavours, authentic dishes. Such a friendly and welcoming vibe, as relaxing as being on holiday even if you live here. We never regret choosing this place for dinner.

A wonderful dining experience at Giuseppe's. A small but interesting and varied menu and a lovely relaxed atmosphere. Good, attentive service from staff and personal interaction with Giuseppe, who is clearly passionate about his dishes, which are delicious.

Visited for midweek lunch with friends who are regulars. Had booked. Quirky location. Not for you if you are a fan of restaurant chains and want a set regular menu. Expect last minute changes and substitutions but that is part of the experience. Food was great and very warm friendly service. Not cheap but not your everyday place. Recommended.

Fantastic evening meal. My family are Italian and we usually spend 3 months of the year in Italy. We know Italian food. Don’t even pay attention to any negative reviews. Utter rubbish. This is authentic Italian food and you are lucky to be served by Giuseppe, his wife and team. Starters, mains and puddings exceptional. Lovely wine. EXCELLENT COFFEE. Apparently it is possible to get a decent espresso in England!!! Great value for money. If you want a cheap quality meal, go somewhere else - but if you want authentic home cooked Italian delights, book yourself in! Don’t expect a zillion menu options, this menu is prepared FRESH daily. This restaurant was absolutely amazing! The food was lovely so was the staff and atmosphere. It was honestly the most amazing food I’ve ever had everything is so worth the price. I will definitely be returning!!!

My wife (Gina) and I were in Nailsworth for a friend's 60th party. 2 hour drive away. Staying in a hotel nearby. While in the town we thought we'd grab a bite somewhere before going to see Forest Green Rovers play. Kids are now pretty much grown up and budget is not the issue it once was; we wanted some where with a nice atmosphere, with good food where we could wile away a couple of hours before going to the match. Giuseppe's fitted the bill perfectly. Guiseppe and his wife (lovely and very chatty [in a great way] lady) work really well together and it was really nice to have a chat with Guiseppe himself about Italy and his love of AC Milan. We didn't want to leave. Everything about the place just added to our weekend. Lovely chilled bottle of house Italian white, prawns for starters, I had mackerel while Gina had the special pasta dish of the day and I had cheese and a cheeky glass of port and Gina had the profiteroles for pudding. All was lovingly prepared and presented. I'm a believer in you get what you pay for and I considered the whole experience to be great value. The food was just delicious, the setting super, lots of space around our table and as Gina and I reach that time of life where we have more time to spend together we'd love to come back. My only regret is that I didn't get the manageresses name, I wish I did. I'd have liked to have thanked Guiseppe and her personally. Brilliant to have an Italian food cooked authentically. Giuseppe's is a pretty small place with seating for, I'd guess, around 40 people. Giuseppe does the cooking himself and makes a great job of it. We had the Mozzarella and Tomato salad for starters and the Fish Pie and the Parmigiana Melanzane for mains....

Hemos estado en Giuseppe's dos veces desde su reapertura, y cada vez hemos estado encantados con las opciones del menú, la cocina y el servicio. la reducción en el número de coberturas disponibles, da confianza a los comensales y el enfoque del personal hacia la higiene anima aún más a los comensales a sentirse relajados. We had the best ever take-away last night from Giuseppe’s. Superb value and beautifully presented. The Zuppe di Pesce is delicious. All delivered ready to enjoy! We shall definitely order again soon and enjoy Giuseppe’s take-aways whilst his restaurant is closed.

Had a great meal here. We booked in a Group of 12 and due to unforeseen circumstances this had to reduce to 8. The hosts were quite happy to change the table and we had great service and very good food. Not an extensive menu but I often find a Restaurant is better doing a few things well rather than lots of things not so well. The building may be described as quirky (it is in an old mill) ad takes a bit of finding but it is well worth finding! We will be back.

Well you certainly wait for your food but when it arrives, its delicious. Freshly prepared, delicious and excellently presented Italian food. The real thing. Absolutely delicious and great to find something so authentic without having to travel to London or Italy to find it.

Having read good reviews, was very disappointed. Hate to say this but food pretty unimaginative and horribly overpriced for what you got. Drinks similarly expensive. Staff fine, pleasant, efficient but nothing special about the place at all.

Giuseppe's is an absolute delight. A daily freshly prepared menu of authentic Italian dishes - a broad enough range to please all tastes. The food is delicious and full flavour.

Took my son and my three lovely granddaughters here last week for dinner. It was our first time in this restaurant. Yes, we waited a bit for our meal but my goodness, it really was well worth the wait. Giuseppe told us that everything was cook from fresh and the smell coming from the kitchen made us really look forward to our meal. The food was so delicious and everything was eaten up. We will definitely come here again. This is a great place for a lovely relaxing special meal.

We used to so much enjoy Giuseppe wonderful Italian delights and his dynamic friendly personality when he was at the Gliding Club. But in moving into town 'something' seems to have been lost along the way.

I had no idea Guiseppe’s was there and am so glad we’ve now discovered it! Our food (mixed sharing platter, followed by steak and a zucchini dish) was absolutely delicious and Giuseppe himself came around to answer questions about the dishes and describe them to us. The menu in general was very tasty sounding and he always has a speciality pasta. We will definitely be returning! If you enjoy authentic Italian food, you’ll enjoy Guiseppe’s! Go and support this independent restaurant!!

Cannot praise this resturant highly enough. Food is beautifully cooked and of sensible proportions. There is nothing more off putting to me than to be faced with a plate piled so high that I cannot eat it all. The wine list is small, but personally chosen by Giuseppe and is excellent. Don't eat here if you are in a hurry. But this is part of the charm. Relax and have fun! The Garlic prawns are amazing.

What a lovely surprise to find such a fab Italian restaurant, the owner is the chef and great at it! The three of us had delicious dishes and the pasta was cooked perfectly. Giuseppe's was recommended to us so we booked a table for our family yesterday evening. The whole experience could not have been any better, it really was wonderful and we will definitely return even though it is a bit of a drive for us. The lady who was running front of house was really lovely, she was exceptionally welcoming and very friendly and helpful as were all of the staff. The restaurant is tucked away and is in a rutic but chic building with a nice feel to it. Giuseppe is the owner and chef at the restaurant and his passion for his food is very evident, everything is lovingly made and absolutely delicious. He came into the restaurant and talked with customers throughout the evening and he clearly enjoys cooking for people. All of the food was excellent, with the king prawns in garlic and chilli starter being a particularly good dish, remarkably good in fact. My daughter ordered the fresh tuna main and said it was the best fish she had ever eaten. In short, a fabulous meal and I would highly recommend a visit. Thank you to Giuseppe and the team.

Simple food, cooked to perfection. Fabulous service, lovely laid-back atmosphere. The only down side is that it's not the easiest of places to access if you struggle with stairs.

Al pasar por Nailsworth, decidimos que necesitábamos comer, excepto que eran las 9:30 de la noche del sábado. Tan asombrado con nuestros dedos cruzados, esperando que alguien se apiade de nosotros, ya que la mayoría de las últimas órdenes de cocinas son a las 9:00. Probamos dos restaurantes, pero fue en vano, y luego vimos un letrero en el lado de la carretera para Giuseppe. Seguí las flechas, subí las escaleras y me encontré con el propietario al que le pedimos nuestro caso. El dueño fue genial, ella fue y habló con el chef y le hizo saber que dos comensales tardíos estaban considerando las opciones del menú. Otros clientes salían a cantar sus elogios, y para ser honestos, para estar en desacuerdo, estábamos hambrientos y desesperados. Nos sentamos en nuestra mesa, y nos dieron un menú y una lista de bebidas. Elegimos una botella de vino. . . Pinot Grigio, no soy el mejor fanático del vino, soy más bien un pantalón y una mezcladora groseros, pero a mi pareja le encanta, pero tendré una copa si está en oferta. . . grosero no hacerlo.

Visitamos con algunos amigos el sábado. Recomendado por la tienda local de vinos. Qué descubrimiento: es una verdadera joya y el entusiasmo de los dueños del chef solo se ve igualado por la fabulosa actitud amigable de su esposa.

I do NOT recommend this Italian fast food place as I do not believe that any one would. arrive here and say to themselves "hmm, I think my family and I are a compatible match for this place". My girlfriend thought this to herself as soon as she stepped foot into the door and so did I and that makes two of us. The only thing that changed my girlfriend's mind was when she stepped foot into the toilet and said to herself "hmmm, I could take many a poo in here". Do not go here simply because the morals of some of the staff are distorted. The food is nice but u can find nice food at another Italian restaurant round the corner from guisseppe’s in Nailsworth. The staff are not treated well by other staff. I went in there once to see a friend and the atmosphere from other staff was very unwelcoming. The toilet is nice and rustic and a good place to get changed, however, don’t stay for too long after that otherwise U WILL REGRET!

What a lovely evening! The short menu was interesting and all our choices perfectly cooked - gorgeous grilled prawns, delicious al dente spicy sausage pasta and delicious veal. Torta Della nonna top pud too. Giuseppe is a caring and attentive host and front of house lady v good. The lad serving needs a bit of training, he seemed a bit daunted by speaking to customers! Added to the fun of the evening though.

Entering via a metal staircase, prepares you for the rather unusual experience that is Giuseppes. The restaurant and its owner, who is always personally involved in food preparation and service, exists in the highly competitive restaurant market in the town.

Giuseppe greeted us and from that moment it was a lunch to remember and treasure .The grilled prawns to start were the tastiest ever. The rest of the food was superb and served on piping hot plates. The deserts were also very special.. The menu is limited but the food with an Italien flavour is excellent. He also has a wide range of different drinks. Ask him for a Monkey Gin.. This really is a hidden gem and should not be missed.

The restaurant had an unexpectedly cosy ambiance and was fairly busy for a mid week night. Service friendly but a little haphazard. I thought the prices of the dishes on the menu were too high.

From the moment we stepped foot in to Giuseppe’s, we were treated like family. Giuseppe himself waited on us and told us about everything on the menu. It was all fabulous, from the wine to the appetizer, main course and dessert. The food and the treatment couldn’t have been better. Definite must do for anyone visiting the Cotswolds area. The locals would like to keep it their special secret, but if visiting the area, search for it, you’ll be glad you did.

We took 2 good friends to enjoy a fine meal at Giuseppe's last week and were not disappointed. This was the second time we ad been in 4 weeks and enjoyed another great meal, served with passion and verve!

Este lugar ha estado abierto por un tiempo, y nos decepcionó descubrir que nos estábamos perdiendo. Es un lugar bastante insalubre, pero una vez que se sienta en su mesa, encuentra que la comida es abundante y recién preparada, y que el servicio es cordial y hospitalario. Mi marido comió el bistec Rossini, que estaba cocinado a la perfección, y yo comí pez espada con una maravillosa salsa siciliana. Las verduras eran un acompañamiento perfectamente cocinado para ambos platos, y limpiamos nuestros platos. Entiendo que tienen un flujo constante de clientes regulares aquí, y puedo entender por qué. Nos estamos incluyendo en eso ahora: -)

Truly delightful Italian food, freshly cooked quality ingredients. Friendly. Loved it. Will be back.
