Really nice people running the pub. I so wanted the sunday lunch to be good, I'm so sorry that it wasn't.

Real gem of a pub. When we initially drove past, it looked closed, but once inside you're treated to a really friendly pub, with wonderful food (Romanian meatballs were great) and a good selection of beers and other drinks. Well worth a visit.

Friendly atmosphere, good pint & Pinot Grigio, clean and presentable.

Had a couple of drinks here on Sunday, but didn't eat as we'd already had our lunch. Great sized pub with a beer garden at the back. Nice friendly staff. Would return if we stay in the area again, as it was only about a 10/15 minute walk from the Minehead Caravan and motorhome club site on Hopcott Road.

Traditional Pub with great little garden at the rear. Live Sports TV. Function room available. Highly recommended.

Nice little pub, with a old school vibe. Staff and owner are very friendly. Good pool table and beer is good. Highly recommend. Haven't tried the food yet but looks amazing when seen it served. Old style pub with a great atmosphere

Food was lovely. A small menu but something for everyone. Really helpful, friendly and attentive. Yes it does look like a bit of a locals pub but we were made to feel very welcome.

You should tell your bar staff that it is not against law to smoke outside in the public area which isn't your premises .Very foolish thing to be honest when a mate is walking past the bar smoking inside. Working in hospitality you should be more hospitable no ? Nice pub apart from that !

Great pub everyone very friendly and decent food and Ale

Unfortunately the Turkish evening food wasn't anything really special. The first course was different and tasty but the rest was not value for money and not very tasty. It was on the bland side. The pub itself was packed so they must be doing something right but it was a little tight for space. If you lived local and knew everyone I would think you would be pleased to have it on your doorstep.

We had a great night here with friends on New Year's Eve. The 3 bar staff were very quick and efficient at serving a busy pub. Excellent drink and wine. We ate at home so can't comment on the food. Definitely give it a try sometime. Great that it's very close and we are to be able to walk to it.

Called in for drinks on Christmas Day and Boxing day as we were staying nearby at the Campsite. The staff were really friendly and everybody in there looked like they were having a great time. Would love to return one day

I have been a customer of the Brit for 20yrs. On Sunday evening, I met a friend in the Brit. After my friend left I went and sat at the end of bar. Within a couple men started fighting. In the confusion I got knocked on ground. . When I saw the landlord and asked about tolerance of brawling at the bar and being responsible for the safety of other customers. His response was simply....it was an accident....no apologies!

Jolly little pub that appeared to be hosting a team competition from rival pubs when we were there which added to the previously quiet atmosphere. Possibly pool as there was a spacious pool room. Although the interior was old it was very clean and tidy and reminiscent of village pubs of bygone times. The drinks choices were varied and reasonably priced. Although we didn't eat the menu looked quite simple and wholesome with vegan and gluten free choices but sadly missing a pie. Definitely worth calling if you are in the area or passing on the walk to Dunster. No food service on Mondays.

Our hiking party of 16 in number were all very impressed with Janina and the support staff last Saturday when we booked in for an evening meal We had a large table upstairs and the food was all as ordered and enjoyed by all. A very enjoyable evening highly recommended. Thanks 👍

What a great pub! Just spent a week in Minehead and visited this pub a number of times. The staff were amazing and friendly, the beer was top notch and the food was awesome. Wish it was my local!!!

Very good service and lovely atmosphere. The only negative is the state of the garden…there were dead flowers in the baskets on the wall and cigarette butts all over. I feel it is sad because it always used to be a very pretty garden and a real asset.

could do with a lick of paint and a great deal of tlc inside and out. two stars solely for a nice pint of old speckled hen.

Loved it. Completely unexpected hidden gem that would have completely escaped me had we not gone there for a work do. Great pub. A proper old skool boozer's boozer with locals happy to chat, carpets, dart board and team that greet you with a smile. Who who knew such pubs existed nowadays? Was there for a private wedding do. Warm friendly atmosphere, well catered spread.

After waiting over an hour for our food it was tasteless, cold and definitely not worth our money. Customer service was dreadful and rude, went to pay and mentioned our problem and the response we got was "oh well it'Il be better next time" I don't think there will be a next time from us.

Love the place is a nice warm atmosphere, has a gorgeous garden in the back, pool table and darts, delicious food and refreshing brew, lots of choices and the staff is great always happy to please. 🧡💛💚💙💜 Can't wait to get back.

Nice to go somewhere different. Service was good and most local pubs in the area dogs were allowed in even had dog treats. The local were friendly and some even stopped to chat to us.

Proper pub with proper food and Malbec so what's not to like?

Great local pub good beer and hospitality from the hosts. We had meals from the “specials” board, Homemade pie and quiche, good portions and very tasty.

Great friendly local welcome. Very lovely local ales to sample. We didn't try the food but it looked like huge portions and all freshly made to order.

A plesent Sunday evening with the intention of joining in the quiz. I felt it started without me so will return another time. Good selection of beers on tap and pump plus a good variety of spirits. Think I may indulge a few rums sometime.
