Busy cafe. Fab food. Locally made quiche delicious, served with small side salad and few crisps. Handy for walkers with their dogs. Not rushed to move from the table even though they were busy.

A lovely, cosy little place. Staff were very welcoming to a couple of bikers. Coffee was good, bacon and egg bap was apparently very nice. Lots of fresh cakes and scones on display, despite the outback location, very popular. Delicious looking, piping hot soup and crusty bread being delivered to a table as we left. Definitely worth a stop again.

Had a lovely Deven Scone and Coffee, fantastic service, lovely people, gorgeous scone with jam and clotted cream. Sat outside in the Devon sunshine and really enjoyed sitting eating and watching the world go by. Bought cake to take away and enjoy later after my birthday dinner. Will go back with no hesitation. The photo is of the petrol pumps that are in situ outside where you sit. I think it must have been part of the garage which is next door at some time. It adds to the unique atmosphere of the lovely tea rooms. Thank you from the couple with the two black Spaniels.

A lovely little quiet spot in the middle of Exmoor. I had a drink and scone which was freshly made and delicious. I felt like I’d been transported back in time to one where time went much slower and life was much less rushed. Will definitely call in again if I’m in the area.

We have been before for cake and breakfast and found it good value. We went for the first time this year and had quiche and salad for £10.95. The food was served on a plate the size of a tea plate - a small slice of quiche, a handful of salad leaves and a scant tablespoon of coleslaw. It felt very overpriced for a lunch that was in no way filling. At that rate a whole quiche would cost in the region of £80. In addition we asked for warm quiche (as offered) but it was cold.
