We walked from the main street to the Lodge on a Saturday to have a beer after a walk on the coastal path. At 2.45pm they had called last orders and were closing at 3pm ! The passive aggressive comments from the locals made us feel unwelcome.

What a surprise! Easily the best pub in Minehead. Wet lead, 4 cask ales, lovely staff, and beautiful interior

A quality place for a relaxing pint. Lovely ale and atmosphere. Brilliant, helpful staff. No noisy jukebox to annoy social drinkers. Great proper pub.

We only visited the bar but that had a very good beer selection very reasonably priced. Slightly out of the way, but worth the extra 5 minutes.

Friendly local pub with an ever changing selection of well kept ales and a pleasant sheltered garden. With the fire lit, there is nowhere cosier to have a beer during the winter.

Travelled here and it's closed. Why don't people communicate and let people know. 😮

The kildare, One of mineheads oldest pubs. Is a first class establishment and a jewel in the crown of minehead, it is very comfortable and clean pub with friendly staff and interesting clientele, for booking venues and parties at a reasonable rate. I can thoroughly recommend the kildare. The only setback is it has no chef at the moment.

Such a lovely traditional old style bar. Lovely building with a feel of history about it. With a roaring fire and an equally warm welcome makes for a lovely place drink in

Only went in to play a couple of games of pool but the atmosphere and service were fantastic. Lights were turned on for us, smiles all round. Felt like a very traditional pub but the menu looked fantastic. Would definitely go back again

Nice place to stop and have some food or just a quick coffee. Quite a simple place but offers a good range of food and drinks. Seating both at the front of the building and also a hide-away area around the back which is a real sun trap in the summer. There is a stream nearby so you can get a take-way down there. Used by local celebrities!! Lovely place.
