A proper old-school pub, with draught ale, priced very low compared to the rest of Falmouth. The barman was very friendly, and there is also a free pool table. Small, snug, and the perfect place to sink a few after a long day.

A proper pub. Not a poncy gastro pub.Five star pub food.... Pickled eggs in a packet of crisps. Along side real beers. Locals only.. it's at the top of a steep lane which deters the Waitrose set to be found elsewhere. A pub dog for company, could not be better. Perfect

If I could give minus I really would... simply because of the landlady's judgemental attitude .. such a shame as really nice punters and lovely pub .. she made me feel very uncomfortable after purchasing a couple of drinks with two friends and my child my 2year old child had a little tantrum of lasting less than a minute not because he was tierd but because he wanted somthing from a shop.. but she insisted he should be in bed and then told me I was with attitude just to justify her own bad attitude.. I asked punters if me bringing my child offended and they all stated no not at all and infact were worried it was them who were offensive to out table.. im a single mum and unfortunately I do not have anyone to pass my child onto to grab a pint so he comes with and is with his mummy (the best place in my opinion) after feeling strange about this experience for a few days after as iv had a very difficult few years and get triggered easier than normal especially in places you didn't expect I heard it was not the first time she has acted this way to another so not to take personally... I'm posting this as a warning to those single mothers and because I think it's outrageoues that a customer should be made to feel this way plus she forgot to give us drinks leaving us waiting .. not good service at all especially price of pubs you'd expect better more warmer inviting enviroments

Stumbled across this pub as we happened to see the sign from lower down the hill. Could not have been more pleasantly surprised. The pub is a good old fashioned pub, incredibly friendly staff and locals who couldn't believe we'd found it, apparently Falmouth locals don't always know where it is. Good quality beer, good laughs, ace.

After ending 5 days in Falmouth with a group of 5 girls we have felt consistently unwelcomed by this pub. Our air bnb was round the corner and had popped into to enquire about reservations for Euros/use of pool tables. Each time the front of house was rude and dismissive. I understand that covid envokes anxiety amongst the community but found the attitude of the pub unnecessarily rude. As a group we struggle to understand why this pub makes any money....if you're visiting Falmouth on holiday don't bother, a real kill joy.

A pub hidden from the general public, located on the side of a steep flight of stairs near Falmouth harbour. It is pretty much a prototypical old style community boozer for the local folk to while away a lazy afternoon. The beer range is rather limited but always includes a guest ale on hand-pumps. As could be expected, the décor is nothing much to write home about, but the staff are nice and if you want to get into touch with the home folk, this is the place. It is frequented mostly by middle-aged to elderly customers, who can get a bit lively as the afternoon progresses. Mostly free of tourists (except myself).
