The best restaurants in South West

Visited here on wed 2 june. Staying at nearby lanarth campsite. Lovely cosy pub with a warm welcome from the staff the memu was amazing and great choices for me being a veggie. The vegetable wellington delicious.. Three of us had a drink, main meal and dessert. Total 75 pounds which was extremely worth it... Would highly recommend and def visit again.

We have stayed at St Mary's Hall many times on full board so we have used the Hall restaurant on many occasions and have always thought the food exceptional. This year we opted to self cater on then Island allowing us more evening freedom, but we wanted to book an evening meal for our wedding anniversary. We had a table in the Grill Room to allow us to bring our Cocker Spaniel with us. The Hall is obviously very proud of the steaks that it offers it's guests as there are pictures all around the restaurant, I would normally have had fillet steak , but as this was not available, I opted for a sirloin which they recommended medium rare, to say I was disappointed was an understatement, my steak was very tough and chewy and full of gristle, I just could not eat most of it. I did complain to the waitress and received £10 of the final bill. But for £49 for just the steak you expect it to be perfect, don't you? That said my wife who is a vegetarian, thoroughly enjoyed her meal. I am sure this was just an unfortunate experience and it will not deter us from ever using The Hall again.

Excellent Staff are really great & helpful. Food is excellent, also great quality.

Great food, Thali is highly recommended. Lots of gluten free and vegetarian options.

Lovely cafe with excellent coffee. It was really busy when we visited and the staff stayed friendly and were very quick with getting our order to us all things considered

Superb pan fried sea bass on a bed of veg... So fresh, cooked to perfection and beautifully presented. Delectable Tiramisu, also gorgeously fresh and mouth filling!

Great pub feeling. Not a huge selection on tap but options are good. Food is good for price. Fast becoming a regular.

Delicious food, large hunks of protein in amazing tasting gravy.

Didn't stay in the rooms so can't comment but if there anything like the put and garden there great,

One of the best pubs in bath! Such a warm atmosphere, the owner mick is very welcoming and makes you feel right at home, I would highly recommend!

Sunday roast was amazing ! It was my first but definitely won’t be my last ! Gem of a place Landlord and landlady are lovely and friendly Prices are incredible

Real, humble & authentic free house with live music daily. acoustic sessions, open mics and music events. Great vibe and great welcoming community. Every music enthusiast has to visit this place. Been there for three weeks, will come again someday. Nothing better than this for music lovers. Also great beers (: Highly recommend.

Had the 1kg of chicken wings which are amazing and great service by all we will be coming here again hayley is great. If you like sports it is always on tv

A great Sunday lunch, excellent food and service with substantial portions. Well worth a visit. Best to book as it's not a large place.
