Lovejoy's Tea Room was an amazing experience. I enjoyed the sandwiches, the scones, and the tea. I had so much fun talking with my friends while enjoying tea. The place is decorated so well that it fits with the whole aesthetic of high tea. Although it's a bit on the pricey end, it was a wonderful experience. The staff are so helpful and friendly.

Great place for a girl’s date! The smoked salmon sandwich was delicious but I probably would switch out my chicken apple salad sandwich with a different one. The sandwiches were very simple and nothing too fancy, but the scones were incredible. My table got 3 herbal teas: Vanilla Rooibos, Forest Berries and Rose Hips, and Blood Orange. All were delicious but my favorite was the Forrest Berries and Rose Hips. High tea was enough food, we didn’t leave hungry. We bought truffles at the end, which were very good.

Nice change of pace in SF. Sat outside in covered patio with chill music. Good service, sandwiches, and treats. Would return.

None of the food is fresh or made in the restaurant. Everything is premade and reheated in the microwave. Enjoy getting ripped off.

For years this has been the best place for English Afternoon Tea in the SF bay area. While the rest have made tea prohibitively expensive, Lovejoy's is still comparatively reasonable. Plus, the food is better than most.

I took my 93yr old mother 90yr old great aunt and sister-in-law here today for a wonderful afternoon tea. The service was impeccable and all of the staff were extremely attentive and friendly making the experience extraordinary. We we definitely be returning soon.

Specifically chose this spot to celebrate my 70th. Have been several times over the years, they never disappoint. Decor, ambience, service and delightful delectables - oh, my 🤗 Brought my fam, including 2 brothers (all 1st time Afternoon Tea folk), and all were impressed as I have consistently been. My 70th Birthday Tea was the crowning glory to 3-days of family mayhem and mischief, we laughed, reminisced and celebrated. The folks at Lovejoy's totally made it happen for me and mine. Down to my special petit four with a candle.

Wonderful and affordable more savory focused English afternoon tea experience! My friend and I had a reservation for Sunday at 12:45pm. We both opted for the Queens tea which comes with your choice of 2 types of sandwiches, some greens, cabbage salad, a scone, a crumpet, fresh fruit, and one dessert. For teas, we selected the china rose petal and apricot. I preferred the apricot while my friend preferred china rose petal so as far as tea selection I don't think you can go wrong. For our sandwiches, I went with the chicken apple walnut and smoked salmon and cream cheese while my friend opted for the pear and stilton and the smoked salmon and cream cheese. All the sandwiches were delicious! Although their menu mentions Petit fours, they'll actually come by with a larger selection of desserts. It was hard to pick just one but my friend went with a red velvet chocolate truffle and I chose a pink heart shaped Petit four. Good tea overall but definitely targeted towards those who prefer savory over sweets.

I love lovejoys. They have everything you could want in a tea house. The food, the decor, the tea (obviously) spot on. Even the bathroom is awesome! Across the street they have a little shop where they have English related items & an extensive tea selection.

This place stops taking orders at 3:30 sharp. It says they're open till 5:00 but if you don't Place your order before 3:30 don't go. We drove 90 minutes to get here & were turned away.

My husband and I enjoyed our breakfasts very much. My husband ordered the Full English and I had the Vegetarian breakfast. Both were tasty and beautifully presented. We’ll be back very soon!

I love coming here with my friends when they visit from out of town, it's a fun and unusual date that is unique for them to remember.

The food and service was absolutely brilliant. Unfortunately whilst tucking into my brunch we heard this awful off putting noise as a wasp had been trapped in a electric fly trap.. couldn’t finish food as to us this was very off putting, hearing that poor insect fry alive slowly

I had the best birthday party here with my family and friends. The staff were so friendly and sweet, they even gave me extra sweets ☺️ The interior is so beautiful and well decorated, you can tell there is a lot of love put into this place. It felt like I was in England again. Definitely would love to visit again. I 100% recommend this place for any gathering <3

We popped in for breakfast whilst passing though and were not disappointed. A really great set of options on the menu and we really enjoyed of choices.

A really nice cooked breakfast for six of us. Good portion size and the flat white was really excellent. Service was also good.

Tea room in this tiny village is a hidden gem. Unsurprisingly lots of locals in here. A fabulous assortment of cakes and a decent selection of other foods for breakfast or lunch. Goo and drink were excellent. Nice coffee blend. Lovely atmosphere and very friendly staff. Best if all they are dog friendly so my 4 legged friend could come in and have snacks. Highly recommend a visit.

Fantasy little cafe. Great election of cakes and all expressions coffees available. I recommend the savoury tea for one which is a cheese scone, piece of cheese and chutney. Served with tea or coffee. Also the extremely moist carrot cake.

What a wonderful wee tearoom. Place is clean, tidy and pleasant, staff are lovely, nothing was to much trouble for them and the food was really good but the cake was amazing!

Arrived at 9am for breakfast, on way home from a short break. Very nice owner chatted to us and served a superb cooked breakfast, plus tea and toasted teacake - all lovely and well presented. Thoroughly recommend it - wish we were staying longer for Afternoon Tea - it looked amazing !!

Warm scones, chilled fruit, tiny sandwiches, and fantastic tea. We've had high tea at the British museum, Nordstrom's at Union Square, and here--this was far better than Nordstrom's, and on a par with the British museum for us. We probably ordered too much, but wanted to sample across the menu. Sausage buns aren't quite our style, but otherwise everything was perfect. There was also a supply of hats if you're looking for an Alice in Wonderland photo opportunity / experience. Service was great, and we ended up buying tea at the sister antiques shop across the street.

High tea is for coffee drinkers, too :-) Fun outing with grandma.

Wonderful tea service in true British style - with tea sandwiches, a fresh-baked scone, and some sweets.

A large variety of teas. They have outdoor seating. Nice plates, teacups, and food presentation. Three different kinds of scones, nice and warm. Option for kids tea and sharing a tea. But probably you want your own so you can try more teas! You can order to go, including bulk orders for scones. Buying the teas to go is a good deal as they will last a while. Bring a friend and stay a while enjoying your tea!

Love a little piece of UK here in San Francisco. Service can be a bit slow but very friendly. Food presentation is good and yummy!

The weather has been very hot and humid recently and I felt ill (36 weeks pregnant) driving from my horses to home, I had to stop off half way for a pick me up, was so happy they had a little cosy table free for myself and daughter, although busy it was a very nice atmosphere, covid friendly and very friendly staff. The cakes were delicious, service was great, I will be back with my new arrival very soon :)

Quirky and fun tea time experience! The food was homemade and fresh, the tea selection was very impressive and the vibe of the outdoor seating and mismatching tea sets was very cute. As a Brit, I would say there are some unconventional/untraditional aspects to the menu but it’s probably still the closest thing you’ll get to a proper afternoon tea in the Bay Area, and we really enjoyed it overall.

Visited this gem of a tea room this morning for a quick cup of tea whilst out on a walk. Spied a gluten free ‘Chocolatey Chocolate Cake’ and took a slice home for later. WOW!!! Light as a feather, just the right amount of chocolate and deliciously gorgeous to eat. It was by far the best gluten free cake my better half has eaten since becoming gluten free 7 years ago. Looks like there will be many more trips to Daisy’s as there are loads more gluten free items still to be tried….all in the cause of research of course. Looking forward to our next visit already. PS…even our dog Bailey was given dog biscuits!

Looking for somewhere for lunch we found this lovely little cafe tucked away in the heart of Bishops Lydeard. We were greeted on arrival by friendly staff and shown to a table. Covid precautions were in place. We only wanted sandwiches and they were happy to make them as we requested. We were particularly taken with the tea being served in china teacups. We both chose cakes from their display and I would be very surprised if they were not their own making. They were lovely. Yes, certainly a lovely little stop over and well worth a visit.

The food was ridiculously good. We didn’t have a reservation but they still accommodated us. The tea was incredible and the service was great. The wait time was pretty short for the food and it was an incredible experience. Would absolutely come again.

What a find! Daisy’s Tea Room sits on Church Street in Bishops Lydeard and is a real treasure. Excellent breakfast, lunch and ‘snack’ menu as well as cream teas. Good choice of gluten free options and some nice daily specials. Excellent value for money and...

Lovely and unique experience of classic tea time. Everything was wonderful except things were a little slow to come out. Not a complaint since our teapots were bottomless and the food was delightful, just advise to anyone who doesn't know. Expect to relax here for awhile and enjoy the atmosphere~

Easy online ordering for afternoon tea to-go, as well as pantry items. Safe, prompt pickup process, much appreciated during the pandemic. Everything was delicious and fresh, will definitely be back.

Great service! We've been to Lovejoy many time in the past, the services have always been great, and we've never disappointed with the food and tea qualities. I didn't know what the difference were for parklet and outdoor seating. We opted for outdoor as the parklet tables were full at the time of our booking, which worked out for us. It was our first time dining since the pandemic. My daughter and I met up with friends for an afternoon tea. Our friends who live in the city have told us that there have been some incidents in some parklet dining (other venues, not Lovejoy)... where car accidents crashed onto the parklet seating. Avoiding parklet seating is something to consider for future outdoor dinning.

None of their food is made in-house. It's all microwaved, it's terrible.

I had some fantastic afternoon tea here last year before every restaurant in the world shut down. The staff was very friendly, and the the decor is fun and whimsical. I was surprised by how good the food/snacks I had were since I had expected tea to be the focus, speaking of which the "sticky rice" (pu'er) tea I tried on the recommendation of the staff was absolutely delicious - easily some of my favorite tea I've ever tasted. Whether you agree with the owner's politics or not, this is a fantastic place with an owner who clearly cares a lot about the business and the community, and it's a real shame that so many people are leaving fake reviews or leaving reviews that outright state that they haven't actually been here.

Not impressed. Although my scone was good I really had wanted breakfast which they didn't have. Silly me also ordered coffee which was weak.

Got the cream tea set. The scones were amazing with the jam and Devon cream. My sister got her own set too. Decor very cute and eclectic. Love the layered trays they use. The tea itself is nice, but the tea leaves are just left in the pot, so by the bottom half, the leaves make the rest of the tea really bitter. Would be nice if they had it so you could remove the tea leaves from the pot when you desired, so I could enjoy the whole pot.

The cafe has a warm, welcoming atmosphere with friendly staff. The cafe was very busy when we arrived at 1pm but we received a warm welcome and although we had to wait for our meal the drinks we ordered arrived very quickly. Excellent for lunch...

Cutest little tea place! There are little decorations everywhere, which make all the pictures that you take in here very unique. Teas are full of flavors. Sandwiches are ok, but other baked goods (scones and cookies etc) are tasty!

Great afternoon tea and of course, being from Yorkshire myself, I highly approve that Yorkshire Gold was at the top of the list of choices! Had the Queen's High Tea b cause I wanted to try the crumpets as well as the rest. The food was excellent quality, scones were the best I've had in my 5 years in the USA. I've never seen a plate of fruit or salad on an afternoon tea in the UK but they were really tasty too. Only complaint would be that the bottomless tea was the same tea leaves, just topped up with hot water meaning the second pot was weak - no real Brit would do that. Also, while a lot of people will appreciate the decor, I found it way over the top. Like when you go into and Irish pub and there's more harps around that one bar than in the whole of Ireland.....

Whimsy, cute high tea with delicious sandwiches, seasonal teas, and desserts. Reservations highly recommended, which can be done on their website. I went to Lovejoy's for their "Queen's (high) tea" on a weekday for a friend's birthday, and it was absolutely lovely. We had a seasonal candy cane black tea and a green ginseng tea, along with a giant three-tiered tray of sandwiches, scones with Devonshire cream and lemon curd and jam, salads, cookies, and fruit. Finally, you get a choice of yummy desserts when you're finished; I highly recommend the marzipan. The service was impeccable and attentive, and the staff are friendly and helpful. I will be recommending this to everyone who shares my love of high tea! It looks like they are pretty booked up on weekends, but if you can make it, it's much easier to make a reservation on a weekday.

Open on Sunday. Popped in and had tuna jacket, tuna sandwich, sweet potato fries and a couple of ginger beers. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Premises immaculately clean. Food absolutely delicious. We will definitely be visiting again. Thank you !

A very fun and lively place for a tea party. I loved seeing people dressed up in their finery and fancy hats & hats are available to borrow if you don't have your own. The Queen tea was very filling. Great selection of teas.
