Excellent Italian restaurant with good service

Brilliant find on the main road down to Plymouth from Exeter. Just off the beaten track and an absolute gem. The place is super clean (including the toilets) and the staff are the very definition of friendly and helpful. The place was full of families and groups meeting up, lots of tables and proper chairs. Comfortable, warm, and inviting on a grey day. Good outdoor seating and it was lovely to see a selection of the papers available. Food portions were amazing, I over ordered (as per usual). Food came piping hot and was served very quickly. Special note for the fried bread, it was tasty without being drowned in fat - that's a real skill. Top notch nosh.

Gorgeous old pub in a village location with friendly staff. Food is amazing and served beautifully but could have had a more vegetarian options. The puddings are a bit on the expensive side but delicious. The pub is set in lovely gardens too. Well worth a visit.

We loved the food and the kindness of the staff. This restaurant is perfect for kids and parents. The kids were given activities and candies, they drank for free because of easter event. We spent a great time. Thank you so much 288 bar & wok !

Excellent food, good atmosphere and outstanding service.

We were driving through the area on a holiday from Canada and, as fans of James, decided to make the stop to the pub. Our experience was phenomenal. The food was extremely delicious, service was excellent and the pub is lovely. So glad we got a chance to visit, highly recommend!

Went for food and not to stay, the food was however, really good, the pizza was hot with a beautiful thin base, plenty of good quality toppings and the home made tiramisu to finish off, amazing!

Lovely location, nice breakfast and the room was beautiful. Very helpful staff, would visit again.

Daily good food and super price and always friendly service

Food was incredible, the Korean sea bass was so good! My girlfriend got the lobster and it was equally as good! Will be going back. Also, the after 8 cocktail is so good!

First visit and very impressed Nihm did a great jpb in finding us an excellent table and Josh looked after us very well throughout the evening . Well done to both of you! The food was rxcellent and served promtly on a busy Saturday evening
