Windjammer Cafe & Bar in Cornwall, Isles of Scilly

Awful! This is the third (and last) visit. Mid Saturday morning, only six other people there. We waited 17 minutes for tea/coffees. When we finally got our brunch orders they were luke warm to say the least. My friend has poached egg on avo, which was so strongly flavoured with chilli it was inedible. Never Again!

Lovely place, great service and very relaxed.

Really good laid back atmosphere and fab views. Really lovely salads and smoked meats. Light and tasty local ales.

We had a booking last evening 2nd April 24. The staff where very friendly, however when we asked if we could have a desert no the kitchen closed. Very disappointing and that's 4 deserts you didn't sell Having been given our main courses the next time anyone came over was to say last orders at the bar . 9pm ?? Disappointing service and not the service we have had in the past. We left and when for drinks elsewhere feeling we probably will not return.

Enjoyed my first visit to Windjammer cafe and have to say my food was outstanding, lovely staff as well. Thought service was a bit slow, but it was all worth it as my ribs were fantastic,the smell and taste were amazing. I will be back.

Amazing, friendly staff. It’s in a good location with a stunning view out the back. Food was delicious and even the dogs were fed! Will certainly be returning :)

Quicky seated by friendly staff. Great views over the harbour. Menu has a good selection, and some different dishes to the normal standard. Had the Windjammer Brunch with pancakes. It was delicious, high quality food, and filled me up nicely.

We went to the Windjammer last Summer and it was great. The food was nice and it was an all round amazing place to dine. The staff were amazing and even offered some water and treats for our dog.

We went to Falmouth for a day trip. We called in to Windjammer for lunch. I am allergic to garlic and mushrooms, having explained this the staff they went out of their way to check everything to make sure I could eat safely. The rest of our group really enjoyed their burgers and fish and chips too. We will definitely be going back. Thank you Windjammer team.

Warm friendly greetings, an extensive menu with so many choices but truly excellent food, combined with fabulous views across the harbour, the Windjammer has it all.

Recently went to this restaurant after being a few times before, i ordered ribs as previously i ordered a burger and wanted something different. I ordered the bbq ribs (assuming they would be tender, saucy and fall off the bone) but no, they was the complete opposite, they was the most dry, unflavoured and non meaty ribs i have ever had. id say there was more bone than actual meat. the staff was also very quiet and they seemed to be under staffed. I would not recommend this restaurant as a whole as it also had a weird atmosphere all together.

I Ordered the chicken burger Disappointing! The brioche bun was burnt The bacon, potato rosti and cheese were all stuck together and rock hard Chips were underwhelming The chicken and slaw was nice enough but nothing special I can't fault the portion as it was very generous but I ended up leaving alot as it just wasn't very nice. Staff were friendly and the restaurant was very clean. I've eaten twice before and the food was much better on those previous visits

We only stopped for a coffee and sat out on the covered balcony to take in the sea air harbour view. Friendly and efficient service at a reasonable price.

What a little gem of a place! The food was out of this world. We had the mussels and salt and pepper squid for starter. Mouthwatering!! The mains were also delicious with the smoked brisket and the vegan option of beetroot and mushroom wellington. Blown away! Not had such a lovely meal in a long time! Valentine's day too! Booked into the Windjammer for Valentine's night as a treat for the wife. Have never been here before and was a little nervous but how wrong was I! Fantastic cocktails and food was out of this world - really tasty and reasonably priced given the occasion. Main take away though was the attitude of the staff - really impressed with the attention that our waitress Freya gave to make sure that our evening was just perfect. Was blown away that they also has a dog menu so our pooch could eat with us too! In Falmouth for a few nights so aiming to come back for the Friday night cocktails special - this place is not to be missed!!

Had the loveliest time today for pancake day, had a special pancake menu with a huge variety of different things we could have. They were still serving regular meals so some of us didn’t have pancakes. They waitress was so accommodating and anything she didn’t know she told us and checked with the kitchen if she had the slightest doubt. She was more than happy to sort out lemon and sugar for my pancakes as they weren’t on the menu and was really nice to the baby. The portion sizes are generous and the food was all great. Definitely will be coming back next time we go to Cornwall!

Called in for a coffee and drinks but stayed for the Wednesday Burger and a Pint for £12 offer. Friendly, helpful, welcoming staff. Fay was the main one who served us. Attentive without being in your face all the time, so a nice relaxed meal. Cheeseburgers, chips and slaw excellent as was the vegan burger. Our son is vegetarian, not vegan, so had real cheese added to his burger. Cheesy garlic bread very nice to. Would also like to recommend the St Ives Brewery Meor ale served with the meal. Delicious. Can also have soft drink with burgers.

Popped in for brunch and had a lovely bacon ciabatta. Requested the bacon to be extra crispy and it was stunning. Sat outside over looking the water with the heater on. Soo nice. Attentive waitress too, nothing was too much trouble and food and drinks were fab. Thank you! 🥓

got a brunch burger and a double espresso. the service was TOP NOTCH, when i say top notch i mean top notch. my servers i think gina and lauren they were called? went above and beyond for me and my friends. the quality of the food was impeccable and you can tell it was made with love and care. will definitely be returning! thank you windjammer for your memorable food and environment!

Our favourite restaurant when visiting Falmouth. Their full Cornish Breakfast is the best I have had, and very good value for money. It does get busy, so at busy times or a large party, it’s best to book ahead. Good customer service.

Nice place not too pricey. Had breakfast on a busy Saturday service was a little slow you definitely had to make a lot of effort to catch waitresses eyes but would go back.

The cafe/bar has a great atmosphere with so much boating activity taking place all around. We enjoyed excellent meals served by very pleasant and helpful staff.

What a gem of a place. Visited on a Sunday before Christmas with my young son. Exceptional service from Mollie, she was so friendly and welcoming, giving my son crayons and advising me on the menu. Great brunch, great chai latte, lovely ambience. Very impressed!

The cafe is warm, relaxed with friendly efficient staff. Lots of choice on the menu and the food is great. Can recommend the pulled pork. Will be visiting them again on our next trip to Falmouth.

Went here lunchtime the 2/10. Had the Windjammer burger plus a pint of the guest beer. Decent burger with chips and trimmings but for lunch this did seem to be about the cheapest thing on the menu. Place is clean and tidy with good toilets....

Falmouth was busy on Saturday so I couldn't get a table in my usual cafe. Decided to try Windjammer and was not disappointed. Prompt and friendly service. Great smashed avocado and egg brunch. And good value. I shall be back!

Un excellent restaurant où nous avons déjeuné avant notre visite du musée maritime ! Le service était extrêmement sympathique, l'endroit est plutôt agréable et surtout, la nourriture est super bonne ! Popped down from Devon to see my mum and sister who suggested we had lunch at The Windjammer. From arrival to departure the staff were efficient, friendly and very helpful. Nothing was too much bother. The premises were clean, easy to move around and airy. The food was off the charts with very good sized portions. The Windjammer Burger was particularly impressive (and very tasty) and very filling. The lady that served us was kind enough to take a few pics for us so my Mum could have a momento. Five people with mains and drinks all for under £20 a head was great value. Highly recommended and will definitely be back.

The restaurant was clean nothing to much trouble for the staff even down to making sure your pets are not forgotten the service was second to none nice to be waited on service with a smile we will be back

The food hit the spot and unfortunately we couldn't stay for the evening as it looked like a great spot to spend a relaxed evening with polite and funny waiters and a bar qih a wide variety of drinks and snacks.

11 of us had dinner here last night (Saturday) for my son’s 30th birthday and we had such a good time. The meals were all fantastic, really well cooked and delicious, and we were all full! My partner and I went for brunch one morning and we enjoyed every bite! We managed to sit outside as the weather was nice and we enjoyed a lovely brunch, coffee and orange juice! The hash browns were 10 out of 10!

Would be everything nice if not that burned ribs which was absolutely dry. 2 peace’s even could to eat, as they was burn to charcoal. Waitress was polite, only one tip for them, after bringing food wait for 5 min and check on your customers or everything ok with food. First and last time 😞

Absolutely blown away by the Windjammer Restaurant! The staff were friendly and attentive. The food was so good that I momentarily considered proposing to my plate. And the view? Let's just say it's the only thing that made me forget about checking my social media. Oh, and my 12-year-old son? He devoured his weight in breakfast, proving that his appetite is on a whole new level. Can't wait to sail back to this culinary paradise!

Food was great, pancakes fluffy, bacon crispy, first time having hogs pudding (not a fan of black pudding) but it tastes very similar to sausage. Price was very fair too. Regularly checked on for drinks and food. Would recommend.

Giving this one star, due to a unsolicited call, too which we were rudely spoken, regarding a booking we didn't make (live in Lincolnshire), by a foreign lady. Tried to call back and got constant hold music, then cut off. Frankly if this is the level of customer service, wouldn't want to go there!!
