I had the best time today at a bottomless brunch event. Entertainment, unmatched and the staff were amazing! Sooooo good x

I celebrated my 30th birthday in Cornwall. We decided to come to the long store for dinner and my God was it the best steak I've ever had, Emily was our waiter and was outstanding Made us feel very welcome and we was a big table and she dealt with us very professionally and she made my birthday hassle free so thank you, Honestly, such a good vibe and then afterwards you can go downstairs and have a cheeky cocktail when I'm next in town I'll definitely be stopping in

Lovely food, Went twice in the week. Sea bass first time, lovely fish but would have preferred crispier skin on both sides. Great steak menu choice. Second time We had steak and lobster. Love the sticky toffee pudding with rummy raisins. The service and attentiveness should be better for the price though.

Best meal I’ve had in a long time. The food is pricy but you can see why when you eat here, the steak is cooked to perfection and all the sides we had were faultless. Left very happy with everything

Lovely restaurant. However, although dog friendly you have to sit outside. There are heaters and we were sat under one. Therefore, only one star for atmosphere as there wasn't any. Just us and the dog nobody else.

Really enjoyed the food here. Atmosphere and decor good and the service prompt. Good for children. I had the scallops for starter, I thought a little on the small side but generally all very good.

Great meal this evening, very impressive food and the manager (I think she was called Zoe) was so nice and welcoming, she seemed to go above and beyond for us, and other guests near us. Will certainly be back again soon

What a place!! Our server Hannah was hugely attentive and looking after us every second. My fiancé offends struggles to find decent vegetarian cookery when going out, which means restaurant food is mainly disappointing. The Longstore know how to cook! They managed to entwine and place the perfect ingredients on our plates. It was a wonderful surprise. It was - in my opinion- Michelin star quality for us. Truly delicious with amazing atmosphere and excellent service! Top marks to Hannah!

Had a meal here whilst on holiday and it was superb! The service was excellent and the steaks were tender and very well cooked. I would definitely recommend a visit here if you’re in the area!

Ate here on a Saturday night, very lively, very attentive service, staff were great, available but not pushy. Food was lovely, not massive portions but certainly quality over quality. Can't wait to go back and try something else off the menu.

The fish stew was delicious! Sadly, the lobster was over cooked, and the steak (medium) was abit burnt.

The food is of a good standard but a little over priced.

Booked here in the morning, Had a tomahawk steak to share, this was made as well done for my wife which came perfect, it took a while due to its size but was not dry either. Booked again for later in the week.

Absolutely superb. We arrived early after a day of walking and exploring and they managed to fit us in. Friendly and attentive staff and amazing food. We went for the specials for part of the meal. Beautifully cooked succulent scallops and a lamb raveolo. This was followed by the biggest pork chop I have ever soon cooked perfectly with crackling done beautifully and a superb fish stew with croutons. The main portions are big and while they came with a delicious side each ( a tomato salad with red green and yellow tomatoes and blackened sweet potato wedges) we hardly needed them. Wonderful. Absolutely superb

Honestly those place was amazing the food was lovely although the price ratio to the quantity of food you get was poor if your looking to fill your stomach up I do not recommend.

A very great place to have dinner, but you have to book your table in advance. They serve a variety of steaks and seafood but it is quite expensive, in my opinion. However, my experience was a mix of good and bad, we didn't book the table but managed to get a table, and everything went well but we had to wait for nearly an hour for just two orders. We were starving, and when the food got out to our table, my steak was burned, and tasted like ashes, but it cooked fine, it was a juicy steak, too bad they burned it so bad.

We ate very well with a breathtaking view of the port.

table of 5, the food was hit/miss. some dishes were good, but some were a rip off. £24 for lamb ragu gnocchi, which amounted to about 8 pieces of gnocchi... service was also not great, waited quite some time to order, then when coming to pay had to go to the till and ask. fish and chips were good, location and building is lovely. just felt food, service and value wasnt as good as two other local competitors.

Simply the best! Food is delicious. Wine good. Service just as it should be, attentive but low key. We had Sunday Roast. Wow. A suggestion would be gravy in a jug so I can pour it where I want it! Thoroughly recommend this restaurant. Top class.

Was very happy with the service, cleanliness and atmosphere. Food was amazing, we had the Sirloin sharer which came with prawns and scallops. It is on the pricier side but it’s worth it. Would definitely recommend, and if we return to the area we will be visiting again!

We had booked a table at this restaurant without prior knowledge to have a Sunday roast! It was a beautiful day and we had a table outside. We ordered the beef and pork roasts and were not disappointed 😋. The most beautifully presented and delicious roast I have certainly ever had, I think. I had to tell the manager!! Definitely recommend 👌

The food here was so good I had to buy both the chef’s a beer, and I don’t think I can eat a burger anywhere else now.

Me and my partner shared the best anniversary meal at the longstore in Charlestown. Our server Samuel was lovely and attentive throughout. They complimented us with a glass of Prosecco and potato shavings. The steak was the best we've had. Would highly recommend anyone who is wanting a special evening with their loved ones.

Not an extensive menu but enough choice. For me the sides could be a bit more plentiful but then again maybe vegetables are mega expensive in that part of England. Great staff.

Wonderful place! Caitlin our waitress was particularly great, very knowledgeable, helpful but not overbearing. Exactly what you want 👌🏻 food was delicious, the vegan cauliflower was incredible. All very flavoursome.

I found the steak meal to be medioca. And over priced for the quality. However the wine was enjoyable. In summary. Over priced for the quality

A sweet little cafe and restaurant right in the middle of everything, near the beach. The drinks were lovely and food was good too, not too much choice and our food came out at slightly different times, but other than that it was a great experience.

Me and my wife stopped here for a coffee and a small bite to eat. Great service and great food! Lovely place to sit outside in the sun in a lovely village.

We have been twice, great food, great location, great atmosphere.

Disappointing overall unfortunately, great location but very overpriced. Paid £94 for chateaubriand for two, which was uninspiring. Needs some fresh ideas all round. Wouldn’t rush back but hopefully will improve.

Fantastic food - as well as incredibly delicious, the colour choices for vibrancy were just so attractive! 👌 We shared the extremely tasty vegan 'Buddha bowl' & slow-roasted veg toasted (sourdough) bread. We followed up with a brownie - such a surprise to find something both gluten and dairy-free - perfect with a crisp outside and the gooeyness inside! Coffees, again (we were here yesterday!), just right - I even had frothed hot oak milk, which come in cute mini milk bottles! We return here every time we come here on holiday and we will be back, both this vacation and another year, I'm sure!

I visited The Longstore this evening with my son's girlfriend as they had both said how great it was there. I was not disappointed as we both really enjoyed our food. The soft lighting & general atmosphere were lovely & the staff a credit to the place. Would highly recommend eating here.

A lovely Sunday lunch. Don’t mind paying £21 for a roast when it’s such good quality. Fantastic food.

As good as it gets! Had the Tomahawk steak with triple fried chips, buttered greens, peppercorn sauce & chimu chury sauce. Cooked perfectly using locally sourced ingredients. Can't rate highly enough, definitely worth revisiting!!!!

Having dined at longstore on a few occasions and was always impressed with the quality of the food, do as it was an anniversary we booked again at the longstore. However on this occasion we were extremely dissatisfied and disappointed with what we were served. My wife opted for a fillet steak, at the most expensive steak at £39.00, we were appalled at size of the steak, it was extremely small( about 4'') and as thin as a cheap frying steak from Asda. We ordered a side, which us usually chopped cabbage or savoy or a slaw with a lovely dressing.What we got was a dish of shrivelled peas, and at £6.00 this was also appalling. My steak was a ribeye and I asked for it medium, but it was barely cooked. Two steak dinners at £88.00, was definitely not value for money in any form. Unfortunately we will not be dining again .

Sunday lunch today was unbeatable. The beef and lamb so tender, vegetables tasty and plentiful, roast potatoes spot on. All served by happy, attentive staff. Absolutely perfect. Thanks

There was nothing majorly wrong with the Longstore, but a few things did bug me. It seemed dark in there. When you spend 35 plus pounds on a fillet steak, I expect chips to be included in the price. The food is good but just seemed to be lacking a bit of love. The service was good. The lady that served us was cheerful and well informed.

Me and a friend went here for dinner recently. The starters were very nice. We got the spicy beef and beef croquettes. My main (pork belly) was nice, maybe not as good as the previous times I’ve dined at the Longstore, but still nice. My friend was very disappointed with the Longstore Burger and from seeing the other tables ordering the burger, they didn’t look great. Don’t order the burgers, they are very average, not very big and are not as good as the other options. I felt bad as I’d spent only £6 more for a meal which was visibly higher quality, clearly was worth the money, clearly had effort put into making it. My friend said he’d had burgers of the same quality from a Wetherspoons. The cocktails. I once had a melon Margarita here. It was very tasty but it was on the small side. But it was delicious. This time however, I ordered a King Kong. This cocktail was £13. The cocktail tasted like ginger ale and fireball. It tasted fine, not interesting or exciting. The ice cube in the drink was 4 inches long, meant to be a sky scrapper. When lifted out of the tall glass it revealed the drink only filled up just about 1/3 of the glass. So a tiny amount of alcohol and a small amount of fizzy mixer, for £13. Was quite irked by this but didn’t complain as I didn’t want to make a big deal out of it and I just wanted to enjoy our time out. Don’t order the cocktails. They simply aren’t worth the price. The deserts were pretty good, can’t complain. Left this place feeling like they ripped me off for £13. The service was fantastic and the waiting staff were very friendly.

Food is very good, if a bit pricey. Service is good. Atmosphere can be VERY noisy when busy.

Food was overpriced and not worth the money. My husband ordered muscles for his starter, they came so tiny you could hardly taste them, also most of them were empty!! Food did not arrive all together, sides were late also my pepper corn sauce was late way after my steak had arrived. I asked for a nice seat as it was a special occasion. We probably had the worst seat in the house as it was by the door!! Overall not a pleasant experience not at all worth the money!!

Absolutely incredible food, service and atmosphere. The Menu has something for everyone. The staff were attentive, knowledgeable and happy, nothing was too much trouble. We had our starter (scallops) off the specials menu, beautifully cooked and presented. I had the lamb for main, literally every mouthful was divine. Managed to squeeze in a desert, just, oh wow. Thank you to all the staff for an amazing evening, especially the unsung heros in the kitchen. Keep doing your magic, it clearly works, well done.

Always been really impressed with the food and service at The Longstore. It's also just a lovely place to sit! Always near the top of our list when deciding where to eat.

Visited with my partner and her mother. We went fairly early for dinner, the venue was busy and by the time we left at about 2000, every table was occupied. Services was slick, FoH well staffed, helpful and cheerful. Food came in good time. We all had steaks, me and the Frau shared a chateaubriand, her mother had a sirloin. Steaks well seasoned and cooked to our liking. We had creamed spinach and warm greens. They were ok, chef perhaps needs to drain the spinach after cooking admit was rather wet and slightly insipid. The greens were OK, but again slightly uninspiring. But overall, the food was great. Price wise, I’m used to London prices so I thought it was very good value for money. I’d go back. Definitely worth a visit if you like your beef…..

Would highly recommend this place! The food I had here was so nice I was gutted when it was all gone. The restaurant itself is also nice, it has a nice warm atmosphere. This restaurant is one that I will never forget. Would definitely return if I am ever in the area again

I had the scallops, mussels and chocolate ice cream for dessert and every bite and scoop were a delight.

We had a lovely evening meal here. Steaks, burgers or seafood all very well prepared. The staff were attentive at just the right level. Slightly more expensive than the local competition but slightly better all round experience.

Had a lovely light lunch with great service and chill atmosphere. The food was amazing, both in terms of taste and presentation and the prices were very reasonable. Had the best coffee I’ve tasted in the UK in the last 4 weeks. We will be back.

Food here is first rate, absolutely delicious and well presented. Service was relaxed but efficient, beautiful decor and spacious. Lovely views too. Highly recommended.

Quite slow service unfortunately. Large wait for food to come out the kitchen, even with a relatively unbusy dining room. Food had great flavours, however our steaks were not cooked to the correct temperatures- medium rares as rare, and a medium as medium rare. Bit of a shame.

Part of this building is a coffee bar called Short&Strong. They seem to be a satellite of the restaurant, sharing/using the same kitchen. Anyway, the coffee was very good, as was the breakfast brunch and service. Worth a stop if you are not after a three course meal and a bottle of wine!

Food was wonderful but we were all ill from it. We visited got my mother in law birthday (Christmas eve) and although we were surprised there was live music, there was also music over the restraunts speakers which was way too loud. Although they were quick to brings my toddlers food out, we waited a long time for ours. Then slow service afterwards.. It made our mind up to not order any pudding as it was way too long and my toddler was getting irritated. 2 hours in total which is a long time for him to sit still in his high chair. We had early lunch time and they weren't fully booked otherwise I would understand the long wait time.

Nice buzzy restaurant. Charming modern decor. Good food selection and creative cocktail menu. Attentive, friendly staff. The food was modern, fresh and delicious.

Every time I’m in the area, this is my go to place to eat. food is amazing menus very varied. The staff are fantastic really make you feel welcome every time I go there. Great drinks. The cocktails are superb highly recommend it in fact I can’t really recommend it enough. Can’t wait for my next visit.

Went fot a meal with friends, food was amazing . Waitress was great ,and lovely atmosphere in restaurant, would recommend. We'll be back soon . Only thing was we gas to leave our table as a big party was coming in . Could have stayed longer .

The food was excellent, they had an electrical problem, and the deserts were a long time coming. My 4 year old neice had to wait 25 minutes for an ice cream!!! They did, however, take the deserts off the bill,

Took our daughter and her boyfriend for a birthday celebration. We all had different starters and main meals and we were all very pleased with the service, presentation and quality of our food. If we have a celebration this is always one of our first ports of call and to date we have never been disappointed.

Had a fantastic meal here for my partners birthday. Service and food was exceptional. Steak was incredibly tasty. We both had the fillet steak. The chips and mac and cheese were also perfect. This is one very few full 5 star reviews for any restaurant - however this place was perfect. Great staff, food and atmosphere. We went for a special occasion and it compels tell enhanced the occasion. I cannot rave about it enough. Keep up the fantastic work!! We will be back as soon as we are in Cornwall!

Great staff, brilliant service, a little expensive but worth it.

I had the roast beef Sunday dinner. I was blown away with all the flavours hitting my taste buds. The roast beef melted in my mouth, the potatoes were perfect and the vegetables had a slight crunch. Dessert finished off the perfect Sunday lunch (Pineapple and coconut sponge with caramel ice cream.)

If you're looking for a fab stake look no further top class I can say no more

Bit pricey but the steaks are to die for, we had the chateau briand to share. It was the best steak I have ever eaten beating even those I have had in South Africa. The views from the covered balcony across the harbour made for a very pleasant setting for our anniversary.
