The front is a great pub. Located near discovery quay it is on a pier. Great place to sit outside in the Summer and even in the cold. However it is very cosy inside. They offer many amazing local drinks and their taps, casks and boxes are changed regularly

Looks kind of shabby from the exterior but is even better when you go inside. Excellent range of local beers on tap, full of punters who look like they might flick peanuts at you but are actually incredibly friendly, regular live music... and you can take in your own food/chips/burritos/Sunday lunch. Wonderful place.

I've only been here once and it was love at first sight. Actually, love at first smell. You know a good real ale pub from the aroma of FRESH malt and hops as you go through the door. And indeed the beer didn't disappoint. It's probably the best kept ale in Falmouth. They don't do food but encourage you to bring your own so you can pop to the chippie next door, or bring your own fois gras if you prefer, and have your favourite meal in the pub. I honestly think this is a concept that more pubs should embrace.

I've been going to The Front when in Falmouth for several years now, and ultimately, it is what it is; a pub! No food here, just a wide selection of ales and ciders, but a very decent selection at a reasonable price, with the option of a glass (or 2 ...) of one of the wines they have on, or indeed one of the other drinks, if you fancy. The only other thing I can think to put is the gents toilet ( I didn't obviously visit the ladies!) were clean and tidy. If you are in Falmouth pol in, have a tipple and give The Front a try!

I love The Front, always a nice atmosphere whether it's quiet or busy, and a great selection of ales to try including guest ales which rotate regularly. Love that they are happy for you to bring food in as they don't provide food here themselves, and having a good chippy right next door is handy. It's got that nice lived-in feeling that will make it feel like your local, even if you're far from home.

Always friendly staff, great selection of beer and a wonderful place to sit outside and watch the boats go by when the weather allows. No food but they let you bring your own in making it the best place to have dinner out in Falmouth! Downsides music can be a bit heavy metal sometimes and if you like lager they often only have off shore which is basically dishwater they really should offer a permanent premium lager I have had to leave because of this when out with lager drinking friends

Alright pub but last time I was there I saw one of the staff making a family get up and leave from the bench they were sitting at because they hadn't bought a drink, even though they were the only other people there and there were about 10 free tables (it was late). Completely unnecessary, but I guess now they're "the best pub in Cornwall" they can do what they like. Can think of a few pubs that are far more deserving of that title btw, ones that don't blind you with an LED floodlight if you're sitting outside when it gets dark.

Looking for somewhere different to meet up with some friends, were recommended The Square at Porthleven. Goodness we were not disappointed!! After a warm welcome we were shown to our table and presented with the menus. We were given a good amount of time to make our selections. Our starters included smoked salmon, mackerel pate, pickled cucumber and horseradish cream😋 also the leek and potato soup (with a yummy Welsh rarebit on the side), and the homemade bread with balsamic. Following these delectables were venison steak and amazing vegetables and sauce, and pork belly with crackling, hogs pudding and veg. It would’ve been rude not to have dessert so it was crème brûlée with shortbread biscuit, poached pear and apple and damson ice cream. All absolutely amazing, could not fault, and I hope to return next year!!

A quick stop of here for a Veggie breakfast skillet. A good range of options and plenty of choice. Two large rooms decked out with a cool, eclectic mix of tables and chairs. Flat white excellent, skillet super tasty although a few less potato's and a few nice mushrooms would have made it a touch lighter! However all good and the potatoes were very tasty. On top of this, great service.
