We found Rosarios down a pretty little side street. We managed to get a table outside, which was nice, as the tables are under cover and there are heaters outside too. So you can watch the world go by while staying dry and warm. We came here for brunch. The cafe was busy and it seemed like a popular place. Staff were friendly. I ordered a ham and cheese panini along with an orange juice. The panini was delicious and was of a good large size. The orange juice tasted nice and fresh. The soups were also of a good size and had a lot of taste, they came with a lovely crispy roll. I would definitely pop back in here for another panini and maybe a cake next time, too.

A year on and it was time for my annual return to Bath, for the Christmas Market, the Rugby and of course Rosarios. In the year since my visit much has changed, for instance, management has expanded across the street and had both sides, outside and upstairs filled which is simply fantastic to see. The coffee and food remain perfect and with nice friendly, attentive service there is something for everyone. But as someone who has travelled, I will always return for the outstanding cannolis, which I am unashamed to admit to took a large box away with me and enjoyed everyone in the days that followed. A truly fantastic business and spot to grab a drink or food, or simply watch the world go by.

This review is totally overdue as Rosarios is most definitely our ‘go to’ place for coffee in Bath! Although we don’t live locally, we visit Bath at least once or twice a year and generally for a mid December Christmas shopping trip. The shopping is always planned around coffee and lunch …. Since being introduced to Rosarios about 6 years ago by a friend of mine, it has never ceased to be a fabulous spot for coffee and Italian pastries - the cannoli and aragostine with their delicious fillings are completely divine and go perfectly with Rosarios locally roasted coffee. There’s a lovely tasty menu for light bite lunches and the staff are unfailingly helpful, friendly and accommodating. Rosarios is thoroughly recommended and worth seeking out down the little atmospheric alley of Northumberland Place. You will definitely feel like you are stepping back in time - in the best way - as you come across this delightful gem with its little windows, steep wooden stairs winding upwards, coffee machine steaming away and delicious smells wafting out the door!

We stumbled across Rosarios whilst exploring the busy city during the time of the Christmas market. It was the fullest eatery down the alley so clearly has a good reputation. We were happy to sit outside with heaters and warm up with the most delicious soup &I dont usually have soup! Another diner was eating it so made us fancy it the same happened whilst we had ours. Good service etc so when we fancied a drink later in the day there was no doubt we would go back there. Italian hot chocolate was scrumptious.

Good food, far from average service. Yes, it was busy, but the staff on the whole were very dismissive / uninterested and not one found the enthusiasm to even smile whilst we were there. The only pleasant member of staff was the young man that delivered our food, he was a breath of fresh air. The bacon butty and pancakes were good, but the overall atmosphere was brought down by the miserable staff unfortunately. A smile goes a long way in making people / paying customers feel welcome.

I am a local so visit Rosarios at least a couple of times a week for breakfast. As someone who has to eat gluten free it’s unbeatable in Bath. I always have the mushrooms on toast (Suberb with lemon and paprika) or the ham and egg pannle, never had these before(Sicilian chick pea fritters) - yum! They do great non bitter coffee too. For anyone wanting sweet treats it’s amazing cannoli and cheesecakes (gluten free) are delicious. It’s busy so service can be slightly slow at busy times- but it’s a top notch tip in Bath

Came to Bath to celebrate my graduation and wanted to find a cafe for breakfast. Found this little cafe with an Italian feel and felt it would be perfect as opposed to busy high street cafes. Ordered our drinks which were lovely particularly the iced latte. We then selected our food which the waitress took about 10 minutes after our drinks. This wouldn’t have bothered us but at the time we were the only ones who were in the cafe. The food arrived and we tucked in. Unfortunately as I tucked into my pancakes with bacon and maple syrup, it was apparent that it was made with quite a bit of cinnamon (not listed in the menu). I have an allergy to cinnamon (luckily not severe) and began to loose the feeling in my tongue, lips and tingling sensation in my nose. Luckily I had medication on me to combat the allergy attack. When my mother tried to find the waitress to inform her that I couldn’t eat this, she was no where to be found as she was moving between the 2 cafes. Eventually she came over and took our plates when my mum explained the situation. Her response was “well if you told me sooner I could have done something about it.” My mum explained how she wasn’t around to do this and that if something has cinnamon in it, it should be listed in the menu. The waitress came back with “we can’t list all ingredients so there’s not much I can do”. No apology, no questions asked to whether I was actually okay. She then proceeded to leave the cafe walk into the alley and discuss my mothers behaviour with her manager. From the gestures and faces she was pulling, I could see that my mum was being portrayed in an aggressive manner (not the case by any means). As my dad began to pay the bill, the waitress returned and put a fresh bill on the table and said “it’s been taken off”. Again no apology no anything. As we settled up and left my mum said thank you despite the service and the waitress replied with a very sarcastic “yeah”. As we exited my mum spotted the manager and explained the situation and that I had an allergy attack all be it minor (this time). She suggested if that the ingredients be put on the menu if that are made with something like cinnamon as it is a known allergen. His response “we’ve been making this recipe for 10 years and never had an issue and we can’t list everything on the menu so”. Once again no apology or check if I was okay. It is unfortunate that the cafes service and staff approachability was so poor as the cafe is beautiful and could have been a hidden gem that we would have returned to. Very disappointing.

Went for breakfast on my birthday based on online reviews. Ordered pancakes with mixed berries and yogurt, the Rosario Coffee and a mimosa. The coffee was fine for a typical coffee. I didn't really taste any chocolate or condensed milk so not worth the extra price. The mimosa was okay. They initially tried to serve me a potato cake with smoked salmon (I had ordered pancakes with berries) so not sure how that happened. I should have had that as I was quite disappointed with the pancakes. Presentation was good. The fruit was okay. It had tons of syrup which was good for me (maybe next time let customers put how much they want?) But the pancakes were stodgy, heavy and eggy. The pancakes were hard to cut into. When I raised the issue, I was told they came as intended so I would not recommend them for anyone who likes fluffy pancakes. I couldn't finish the dish myself so can't rate it highly

My panini came out later and didn’t look very appetising. It was as thin as a cracker with very little filling in the centre making it very dry, I felt that maybe they had run out of some of the filling ingredients not at all enjoyable or worth the cost of the panini. My partner and I were attracted to the location and the many positive reviews but, unfortunately, our experience was tainted from beginning to end by:- our drinks which failed to come until after our food had arrived- rock hard pancake slabs. I understand their food is gluten free but this is not an excuse for pancakes you can't cut with a regular knife. They replaced them with a more edible version after we complained and then passive aggressively handed us a serrated steak knife.- as a final act of insult, the second batch of pancakes came with a complimentary fried sliver of plasticBy this point we were fed up. We finished off what we could so as not to waste the food and I raised the issue of the rogue plastic with the waitress for the sake of their future diners. They decided that 10% off the bill would be appropriate compensation for this disaster of a meal...

Our daughter follows a gluten-free diet. We usually struggle to find decent breakfast joints. Rosario’s, which we found on Google, was a short walk from our hotel (Apex Bath) and was outstanding. It has a selection of excellent gluten free choices. It should be noted that these are PROPER choices, not after thoughts of minimal quality. Very well piece, lovely service. I can’t recommend this more highly.

After doing my gluten free research prior to coming to bath, I knew i had to come here! I tried every flavour of the Gluten Free Canoli, the GF Salted Caramel Brownie, the GF Almond Pistachio Little Cake Bites, the GF Millionaire Shortbread. Wow, they were all absolutely amazing and so well priced as usually find just because food is GF, the prices are hiked up but not this place! The quality is amazing, the staff were so friendly and it was always so busy which you just know the food is amazing when you see little cafes like this thirving! Next time I'm in Bath, I definitely want to try some of their breakfast and lunch options and not just the sweet stuff as this all look great too.

We found this place with my boyfriend on our first day in city and we came back every day for breakfast. They have huge portions of food and a long list of loose leaf tea which is not really common and for non coffee drinker it’s a big plus. Everyone is very nice and friendly and the place has a special vibe, definitely worth visiting. Have a lovely day everyone. ☺️

Despite the wall of gluten greeting you, Rosarios does an amazing pile of gluten free pancakes! They were safely eaten by one of our coeliac team - full review at coeliacwellnes.com. This is the first place we've found in Bath to enjoy GF Pancakes but they are the only gluten free breakfast option. Could improve on their communication but we'll definitely be back to rate their impressive selection of GF cakes and pastries.

Popped in here for a Saturday morning breakfast. The place was very busy so I was seated upstairs. I felt sorry for the waiting staff because they clearly didnt have enough hands for the footfall. This meant a bit of waiting around, unfortunately. The place could have been tidier. Tables a little sticky and the toilets had missing handles and locks everywhere.Food wise, it was average at best. My coffee was pretty nice but the smoked salmon bagel was "walloped" on my plate and was nothing remarkable. I could see that with the limited space they had that the cafe were trying to make best use of what they had but there were far too many folk crammed in there.Probably won't be visiting again.

We came across this lovely little place whilst on a day trip to Bath. It caught our attention as we walked down one of the quaint alleyways - it had a nice buzz about it. All the outside seating was taken so we popped inside and were shown to a table on the first floor. Staff were friendly and polite even though it was a very busy lunchtime. Paninis were delicious, as was my latte. You could almost imagine you were in Italy as it has that sort of atmosphere. Although it is quite a small place there were clear screens between the tables for safety. Toilets also spotless! So glad we found Rosarios and will return next time we’re in Bath!

Great breakfast! Did some research to find good breakfast places and Rosarios did not disappoint. Service was quick and friendly, and the food was very yummy. We had pancakes with bacon and a full English, no complaints there as there was plenty of food. Good value for money and in a sweet little location too. Would recommend trying here for breakfast .

We come here often, especially for the good coffee and interesting selection of Italian pastries. The service is always incredibly friendly and welcoming. The prices are also good. There is also the option of ordering a selection of pastries in a box to take away and they are all authentic and delicious. Ask for the fresh Cannoli - they make them on the spot and they are so delicious! The perfect Italian spot in Bath!

Luckily, my friend and I managed to grab one of the few outdoor tables available at Rosarios. It was lovely sat outside in the cobbled side-street, it had a very warm and convivial atmosphere. The menu has a wide range of dishes to choose from, and all of the breakfast options sounded delicious. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive, recommending dishes to myself when I was unsure about what to order. In the end I asked for the homemade potato cakes with l poached eggs and mushrooms. (I basically altered a dish on the menu to suit what I fancied - the kitchen was very accommodating). My friend ordered an Italian toastie with chorizo, Brie, and sweet chilli sauce. The food arrived rather quickly, and was piping hot. Mine was ready before the toastie was, but they brought the plates out when and as they were ready so that was could enjoy them while they were hot. It was absolutely delicious! The homemade potato cakes were more like rostis, two big round ones - perfect portion size. They were a little oilier than I would’ve liked, but they were very tasty nonetheless. The poached eggs were cooked to perfection, and the mushrooms were well seasoned with a herb (I think that it was thyme?). My friend’s toastie also looked delicious - the bread looked very nice with its sesame seeds and panini-press marks, and it had a good amount of filling in, without being overwhelming. Both dishes were incredibly reasonably priced, and we were more than happy with those prices considering the quality of the food (simple yet delicious!), the friendly service, and the lovely atmosphere that the cafe has fostered outside. I don’t think that we could have found a more lovely cafe in Bath! Thank you Rosarios for a great lunchtime meal!

Visited in April when covid ‘outdoor dining restrictions’ were in place which worked well. Dress warm if sitting outside so you can stay longer! We visited on a Sunday morning about 10am Only 4 tables outside but a few more cheeky ones as all the non food shops were closed. A lot of regulars who waited there turn and as all the others mention food looked good. Hubby had poached eggs and fried well spiced potato cakes. Which he enjoyed. Coffee excellent and his local village white wine from Sicily was delicious and fairly priced - and I am picky about my wine. When fully opened there are more tables inside on ground and 1st floor. I did not go upstairs to the loo but may be a problem for those with mobility problems. But if you want a table I’d make the journey!Lots of yummy cakes etc inside, hot and cold sandwiches, ample choice of Main meals for size of cafe, wine by the glass and of course coffee.Rosario (the owner) is front of house, an excellent people person and so proud of his Cafe and so he should be. Very friendly staff and efficient. We will visit often and will be our place to go at anytime of the day. All the other eateries on that narrow street were empty but rosario’s were very busy.

Delicious, great portion size, good value for money. Husband had panlle with ham and egg, he really enjoyed it. Lovely, cute cafe, friendly staff, great service and lovely to see the Sicilian culture within. Highly recommend
