Stopped for a breakfast on the way to Looe. Absolutely fantastic place. Very friendly staff, reasonably priced and the food was fantastic. Well cooked very tasty! Well worth a stop if heading South on the A38!!

Traditional British roadside cafe. Our equivalent of the the USA diner. What roadside hospitality and service was like before the soulless drudgery of the motorway service station and their gig economy slaves. The people working here are dedicated and super congenial. Keep on doing what you're doing, don't change a thing. And Thank you.

Great place. Honest food at decent prices. The breakfast is good and you can customise it to your liking. Daily newspapers are available to read in a rack by the door. Free parking. Very clean toilets. The whole place is set in the 80s but clean and welcoming, so in a nice way.

Always love going to Haldon Diner. There's a good variety of wholesome meals to choose from at a really good price. Great place to go with the family and a corner for the kids to play in while they wait for food.

The service was very good. The breakfast was very nice. They served gluten-free. The prices are the best around the area. Free parking, you can even loan a newspaper to read. It's a good place to pop in and get good food and service all day. Good wheelchair access

Great little diner. They do various different types of meals, from breakfast, steak or burgers all the way through to a roast dinners. It's inexpensive, and has very friendly staff. It's a nice place to eat, or to pop in for a drink. The hot chocolate is amazing. There are a few options for younger children. And they always do their best to accommodate personal requirements. There are quite a few deserts to choose from. If you are nearby, I would definitely suggest giving it a try. You can't go wrong here.

Went here for the first time last year for my birthday and it was fab amazing service, friendly staff and really great food for adults and kids The kids loved the kids ice cream and they loved the outside area, have come to the dinner again this year for my birthday and still the same amazing services and food great price A warm and cosy old style log cabin with really nice food at a great price

Not much food gluten free but celiacs beware food is cooked in oils which have had gluten in it so not gluten free but to be fair we were told this from start it's your choice

A great place for good quality old fashioned cafe food at very reasonable prices. Staff were friendly and the place clean. Let’s keep these older style diners going, much better than a Greggs outlet.

Food was ok. Staff need some manners. 3 separate customers said thanks to the young person collecting plates only to be met by a grunt.

Fabulous all day breakfast, all the food looks great and is fantastic value for money.

We walked here from Exeter Racecourse Caravan Club site. We sat outside in the picnic area as we took our dogs with us. Picnic area is lovely paved area under the trees with sun and shade. The large breakfast was large, excellently cooked, service was great. Definitely recommend this place.

A bit random but bathroom facilities are excellent, fresh and spotless.

Great place to stop for a breakfast

This used to be Little Chef and is now a privately owned restaurant. We stopped just for a coffee and were impressed by the friendly staff and the cleanliness of the dining room. Tables were well spaced too. The coffee was good and not expensive. Open plan kitchen provides confidence in food quality. Good range of meals that looked reasonably priced. It's easy to drive past the entrance on the West bound carriageway of the A38, so make sure to keep a lookout after the turning for the Racecourse. There's a large carpark.

I liked it here and the full English was hearty though the sausage was a little disappointing and I missed not having a fried tomato. Excellent black pudding made up for that. Bacon was nice and not to salty. Toast came pre-buttered but at least they didn't use margarine. Would come back if passing by. Free parking

Good menu. Good value. This is a busy place, which means you have to wait for a table sometimes. That says all you need to know, busy place is a good place.

Called in on a trip to Trago. Great dinner just next to the race course. Good menu with friendly staff and the breakfasts are excellent value. Not the best sausages but incredible value fo money and none of the four breakfasts wen to waste with four nicely cleared plates. Superb little place.

A great breakfast stop. The service was A1 speedy and cheerful. The food was great, and with lots of choice. It was also v clean, no sticky tables here ! 🙂Also they have great background music.

We often stop here for a hearty breakfast on the way down to Bigbury-on-sea. They have a very wide menu from breakfasts to roasts, Staff very friendly, can be very busy and a lot of people are locals, but we've always got a table

We have visited this place before so we knew what awaited us, and as before it didn't disappoint!! The food is always good, hot, plentiful and well prepared!! It doesn't boast the most extensive menu, but what they do, they do incredibly well. We think it's better than a lot of the "chain" diners dotted around the country - to put it in perspective its like the Little Chef USED to be, before the silliness set in, good, sensible food, sensibly priced! On our travels to South Devon this is our preferred pit stop!!
