Absolutely delicious food and atmosphere! I came here on holiday from Italy and the pizza here is SO GOOD!!! (I got the funghi pizza w/ coriander sauce and good lord it was sensational.)

What a great find! A beautiful rustic cafe, with indoor, outdoor and tipi seating. Parking is free, and then you walk up a gravel path to the cafe. We had a really nice lunch. The staff there were really friendly and attentive. The food was superb, far more creative than I'd expected. Great combinations of flavours and colours, with lots of vegetarian and vegan option. The pizzas are cooked fresh in the Woodfired pizza oven. The food was made with real care.. the chef there knows their stuff! Will definitely be returning soon. Thanks you wonderful woodland cafe!!

Hey a fabulous place to get some refreshments and feed up. Great menu and nice welcoming staff help to make sure you feel welcome. The menu is broad and food well presented and great quality and freshness. Atmosphere great especially at different times of day when the smoker is on. The location is good, with kid friendly outside seating. I'd have given 5 stats but the beers was not all available, only 2 toilets and parking can be a mild concern, although they have additional, However I may change the stars up on my next visit 😁

Another hidden gem deep in the glorious Devon countryside. As the name implies, set in woodland, a rustic venue with a large outside dining area. A proper pizza oven in the open kitchen. I challenge anyone who has had a better pizza. Thin based, absolutely delicious and perfect. Served on a plate and not a ghastly wooden board. Lovely crew. We shall return for breakfast. Made a stopover here for a brunch bite to eat on our drive home to London from Plymouth. We ordered the Shakshuka and Avocado Brunch. It took a lot longer for the food to be served than we were expecting but the chef did apologise and explained it was because they just opened up again after a few days off and they had to make it from scratch. The meal itself was nice although the bread that came with it wasn't what we would consider traditional sourdough bread. Service was friendly, and they accept all credit and debit cards. The majority of the seating is outdoors with some seating indoors. There is also plenty of parking available.

There's nowhere like this place, chilled vibes, family friendly, delicious food and amazing staff!! Great music venue too, with alfresco dining in the woods. Just the best atmosphere where everyone is welcome!

We called in lunch time for our first visit. I could imagine this place having a real good buzz when busy. Food looked and tasted great, service was good and was happy with the price. I would recommend and I will be returning.

Bang on! Amazing place set in the woodland we drove 1.5 hours each way to eat here so that shows how good the food is and the service, lovely place, and great burgers, the staff were so welcoming and polite, and the atmosphere is great here, it's a must-do on your foodie list.

The food is very very good but sadly let down by pretty poor service. Dirty glasses and flat beer didn't add much to the experience either.

Lovely setting, an Lovely people

Dropped in for recce after seeing images of their ribs on the internet. It’s really wet and windy today and we sat in the teepee. Ordered a coffee and the avocado brunch. Coffee was hot and delicious and so was the brunch. Service was friendly and efficient. Will definitely be back to sample the smoke house. Will also recommend to friends. We could imagine it would have a really good vibe in the evenings.

Having been recommended this place by a friend, we decided to visit for Sunday lunch. Having checked their Facebook page it stated that they were open to the public and that there was live music. We arrived at 12:45pm only to find all of the tables were reserved with no spare tables, even though there was plenty of room. There was a large queue for the bar with just one person serving. The chalk board stated food from 1pm and music from 1:30pm, however they had only just fired up the pit which explains why the chalkboard was quickly taken down. No menu available, just a Barbecue buffet with no explanation as to what was on offer, other than it was £10 per item. They seemed very short staffed and having assessed the large tables of 10 we deduced that we would not get a table, let alone food for quite some time. It seemed very inhospitable with no greeting and staff seemingly absorbed in their duties with no regard for their customers. It would be better to greet and seat customers take a drinks order and provide nibbles if they have to wait. Basic hospitality seems very lacking here. Can't say we'll return unless they take a more positive approach to customer service. Communication is key in these circumstances. Disappointed, as with a bit more organisation I think this place could be really good.

Can't really comment as drove for 40 minutes to find it was closed to the public as there was a wedding on! Be nice to have known beforehand (saw a lot of others turn around and leave) but guess the only way to find out is always to ring ahead ...? Really quick reply to this post saying the wedding dates are posted so my fault for not checking before setting off. Worth doing!

Lovely rustic atmosphere. Hidden up a path, with plenty of space for the children to explore. Lots of parking. Drinks are reasonable, and they were very happy to accommodate my children's weird requests! Food is relatively expensive BUT the quality and taste was phenomenal. All fresh ingredients and was definitely worth it. Make sure you book in advance, particularly in nice weather and peak times.

Been wanting to visit this place for very long time, well today was the day a birthday treat drink with my son, it was amazing so beautiful, amazing drinks and the most welcoming place I’ve ever been to ,the gentleman was so genuine and happy, will be back for a live band night very soon 😊

Quieter than I expected it to be so was relived there were plenty of tables and parking etc. Ordered burgers and filthy fries. All dishes were amazing, tasty, well prepared and presented. Awesome place to pop into for lunch and can't wait to try it out one evening.

We had such a wonderful time during our Halloween themed evening. Starting with an amazing story telling walk in the wonderful woodland, then an incredible variety of really delicious food. Also brilliant katin music and a dance space. The hospitality was so welcoming, warm, helpful and fun. Definitely will be returning soon.

What a fabulous find..in among the trees...plenty of parking spaces Dog friendly. Lovely warm n cosy cafe with log burner, or sit outside on benches Best Pizza I'd ever eaten...made there n then. Food is plentiful. Super friendly staff. Woods to walk around too, kiddies can play whilst having a wonderful HOT cappuccino. Cant wait to return. Thank you

Just had a some fantastic breakfasts and some lovely coffee's. I chose the mixed hash breakfast which was delicious and my partner had the avocado on sour dough. All the staff were great and look forward to our next visit.

We are on holiday in the nearby yurts. We were made REALLY welcome by this super cafe after a longish drive. Thank you. We ate here several times over the week and always enjoyed good service and tasty meals. Live music on Thursday and Friday evening plus at Sunday lunchtime.

Absolutely superb food, the staff are really friendly. There's a live band there most nights which is nice to listen too from our Yurt.

Had the mixed hash brunch, amazing plate of food for the price, particular care was taken into the salt beef that topped the entire dish. I bet this place looks fantastic on a sunny day.

Work event Didn't know this place existed on my doorstep. Bit expensive but as the company paid I'm not complaining. Burger was really nice not a massive portion of fries and quite a bit of salad .... not sure if that's the norm or because of the number of us as a group. Would definitely recommend and will consider coming here for a treat

Quite possibly the best plant burger I've ever tasted! And what a beautiful setting. Wheelchair users need to be dropped off outside and cars parked in the car park, staff super helpful.

This is a fantastic place to eat. Everything cooked in a out door pizza oven or out door grill. Pizzas are off the scale. The pit beans are unbelievable. Great if you love the alfresco or if you have kids. Definitely recommend.

I really don't want to leave a good review because I don't want this little gem ruined by the masses, but this place is a true find. We didn't eat but the food that came out looked excellent. Service was a little forgetful but I'm putting that down to simply more training required, otherwise it was polite and courteous.

Great evening here last Thursday with my family. A relaxed atmosphere and welcoming staff. ²⁴¹ cocktails too....pizzas were fantastic and the wife enjoyed her burger. Definitely value for money.... We will be back soon for a Saturday night with live music. They even got the fire Pitt going for us. Might have to try the BBQ platter next time as this looks awesome.

Have only had the breakfast bap at this location but staff are friendly and very accommodating. Food is delicious with a good variety. Off the beaten track so call first to make sure they are serving.

I was very excited to go here for my birthday breakfast but sadly was disappointed. There were no pancakes... one of the reasons we chose this venue, the orange juice was warm and I am fairly sure from concentrate, the tea came with no milk, the coffee with no sugar, the crockery was dirty and the bathroom was disgusting at 10 in the morning. On the up side the staff were friendly and accommodated my daughters off-menu meal request and the cooked breakfast was good. 50/50 on whether we will be back.

Stopped off for a bite to eat enroute to our S.Devon holiday having spotted it on Google. The kebab and veggie pizza were ace ("Best ever" my wife said!). All the staff were friendly and intune with the lovely vibe of the place. Recommended. Would've liked to have found out what else they do there 😃

Went today with a friend and 3 kids. Had a great lunch. Although only downside was there's no children's menu yet. Very nice food. Kids had great fun on the obstacle course. We can't wait to go back and are looking at staying in the yurts as well!

Just been to The Woodland Cafe for lunch. Great choice of food. Between us we tried the pizzas, pancakes, woodland eggs and burgers. We all really enjoyed the food. We are planning our next visit to try the ribs and wings. Nice under cover seating and friendly, helpful staff. A great find.

Very unique. Arrived about 10:30 it was quiet. Good friendly service. Ordered breakfast. Asked for one to be tweaked for preference. This was done willingly. I'm sure it would have a good atmosphere of an evening. Will definitely return. The only criticism would be I found the music a bit loud for that time of morning.

We've had take aways from the café but this was the first visit there and it did not disappoint. Each table had a gazebo covering it in case of inclement weather! The pizzas are really good, including the vegan-icious and the gluten free bases are also good. My husband had the pork ribs and said they were delicious. The cocktails 🍸🍸 were pretty good as well. We also had some live music. He was very good and it wasn't so loud that you couldn't continue chatting. Worth a visit. As the tables are outside you could take dogs.

This is a wonderful place to escape to for a coffee or a delicious meal .. gorgeous trees and surroundings to sit and chill out in! A perfect place for parties and celebrating too 💖

Great evening at the cafe, such a lovely location. Lots of twinkling lights above the benches which are undercover, attentive staff and great food. We had pizzas, a burger meal and beef brisket. Great food, my grandsons loved it and can't wait to return. Luckily Thursday's offer includes 2 for 1 cocktails which went down well! If you haven't visited yet, I recommend you do so soon as you won't be disappointed.
