We wanted to sit down and have breakfast they were really busy. They hadn’t had time to put tables out but we did put a table out and had a fab bacon baguette each which was freshly made and freshly made hot drinks. Highly recommend

Met a few friends their a couple of weeks ago and the owner came in and opened up early for us which was very kind. Great snacks and fresh filled rolls, friendly , accomodating and cheerful staff. Great place to have a breakfast roll and a coffee before the start of a bike ride up the Exe.

We stopped here after parking up for a day on Dawlish Warrwn beach. The cafe was very clean, the staff were friendly and attentive, the coffee was really good but oh my word...the best peanut butter and chocolate thick icecream milkshake ever!!

Bacon baguettes to die for. Reasonable priced. Welcoming staff. Definitely the place to visit for a snack/ bite.

Lovely freashly prepared tuna toastie and bacon & Brie baguette for our lunch. Wrong item initially served and replacement provided without even having to ask. Thoroughly recommend for friendly service and great food.

Lovely little find 💙 Staff friendly and chatty. Food excellent! Very well priced and not over the top like most places within this area! Situated on the Carpark just before you go under the bridge. Hot baguettes bigger than we expected! Nice little seating area just outside side the Shack. We will visit again and well done on a brilliant little business 😁

Situated by the car park, this cafe is an absolute gem to find. The coffees and baguettes are the best I've ever tasted ...I'm slowly making my way through the entire menu each time we visit and we haven't been disappointed with the taste and quality ever. The staff are super friendly, enthusiastic about their food and make us feel so welcome. Superb value for money. Can't wait for our next visit

We visited here 3 times during our stay in Dawlish Warren and would have visited more if it had been open 7 days. Having visited here in 2019 we were so happy to see it was still here. It’s a hidden gem! The service and food and drink is great we even visited before leaving and my daughter virtually ate a whole garlic baguette it was so delicious. Don’t miss out on popping by it’s very popular everyone was saying how delicious it was. Try the pizzas too!

Food was lovely, freshly prepared. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Even came and gave our children some lollies/biscuits and made the effort to have a chat with us all. Will definitely return next time we go to Dawlish warren.

Great little place to stop off for a coffee, it's a bike shop but does tea coffee cakes, a couple of tables outside.

Was out today for a cycle and had a problem with my brakes. This was sorted while I had a latte and bacon baguette which was delicious. Great service, as always a great welcome. Lovely cycle back with no rubbing brakes.

Stopped by here last evening, my r/h shifter had fallen apart one mile into my ride. I wasn't expecting to find this place still open but fortunately for me the owner had stayed on late waiting for a parcel to turn up. I asked for some advice but instead he took my bike in and fixed it for me. I highly recommend this place, a friendly and knowledgeable owner. A absolutely perfect location in the car park right on the Exe Trail and the cafe, although closed looked like somewhere I'd like to come back and check out next time I'm here. If you've never ridden the Exe Trail its worth a spin. Great for families and riders who don't like hills, lots to see and a fantastic car free route into Exeter.

Ordered a couple of hot drinks and toasted sandwich's. Service was friendly and quick and the sandwiches weren't what we expected but were delicious and good value for money!

Absolutely love this place. Great service, great baguettes and great coffee.

The cheese toasties are not your normal cheese toasties. They are open top and enormous. The cheese is so cheesy and textured that you won't need to eat any more cheese for the rest of the week. The bacon is crispy and sprinkled on the top like petals. The bread is, I think, sourdough and is light and crunchy and the size of a dinner plate. The toasties may take a little more time than usual to be prepared, but don't worry, it will be worth the wait.

It was an unexpected pleasure to discover the Velo shack for a light lunch. The people were friendly, flexible and helpful. And best of all they served in proper cups and plates, when so many places use Covid19 as an excuse for cardboard stuff.

We popped in here a couple of times over our weekend stay and the customer service was always excellent. The thick shakes are highly recommended as are the bacon and Brie baguettes. Plenty of choice for sweet treats too. The main thing we enjoyed was how welcoming and pleasant the whole team are.

Stopped at the Velo Shack for a drink and a bite to eat after walking along Dawlish Warren beach. Really friendly, helpful staff and best customer service. Ordered toasted sandwiches, tea and a flapjack. The toasties are on the freshest baguette bread, the tea is in the biggest mug ever and the multiseeded flapjack is out of this world! Glad we chose this place as our pitstop.

What a lovely cafe! Such a warm welcome and delicious homemade food. It is under new management and Nicola and the team are proving a big hit! Son had a malteser milkshake and I had a coffee with one of the best bacon and brie baguettes i've had! Beautiful coffee and we will definitely be back!

and the coffee's pretty good to! Came in here after walking the dog on the local beach (which she enjoyed immensely) for a coffee and a bacon sandwhich, which was everything I dreamed it should be. The cafe also doubles as bike hire/bike repair centre. Excellent choice of cakes as well as seriously good choice of bacon sandwiches (bacon, bacon & brie, etc etc) on fresh bread. We went in February when it was quiet. It can get crowded in the holiday season as we found out once when we visited relations holidaying in the area in the summer months. I'll definitely go again, bacon sandwhiches are second only to The North Street Store (see my other reviews) Marked down a star because they wern't taking cards, so had to find enough cash. Funny how thats become a problem only recently

We both had the most delicious baguettes and coffee here. Service was very friendly and most welcoming. A great holiday experience.

Also doubles as cycle rental place. Be warned that the mugs of tea are actually blue flagons of the stuff. They do a range of food for eat in or take away, the cream tea is very nice and tempting cakes. Inside they are limited for seating space but there are outside tables as well.

Food was very nice and service was really good. Prices where very good and they have bikes for hire. About a minute walk from Dawlish train station and about 2 mins away from the sea front

Lovely place to get a bite to eat for a great price and a cheap hire place for bikes with a map of tourist cycle routes, great customer service however need to do check backs after bringing food and needs a fly zapper light for outside to be able to reduce the amount of people that have to leave because of the wasp problem however that doesn’t distract you from the glorious taste of the food, overall amazing place.

Nice little place, great food, you may have to play hunt the napkins and condiments as they are well hidden . Well worth a visit.

We love stopping here for a cuppa and cake or toasted t cake or bacon roll after a bike ride. Very friendly service and great location.

We often visit when we go down to dawlish on holiday. Both the staff, food and coffee are great with wonderful gluten free snacks also available. The gluten free cheese and tomato roll was wonderful. Yet to get my partner on a bike ride but...

A lovely little have after a walk around the Warren or a cycle ride. The service is speedy and the cream teas to die for. I just had a drink and chilled out in the shade. Lovely spot with comply seating. I will be going back soon.

Had lunch today, we had a selection of bagettes, toasties, baked goods and cake between us, the biggest bucket of tea and very good coffee. Can't fault it. The bread was lovely, and the one I had with blue cheese, sweet chilli and very nice...

Wooden shack sells sandwiches rolls other snacks. In the carpark 1st on right down beach road. Also in same car park there are a cycle hire shop plus toilets
