Always a great pub, it’s getting super busy so you need to book, but don’t let that put you off. The staff are amazing and always so accommodating.

Great overnight stay at the stump following our sons wedding at Old Gore Barn . The rooms were very well maintained and had everything needed for a cosy stay . Lovely soft towels , toiletries and tea and coffee . The breakfast in the morning was fabulous with a lovely choice of cooked options . Plenty of tea , coffee and fruit juice . The ladies that served the breakfast were very efficient, friendly and welcoming . Overall a great stay . Highly recommend the Stump .

The best pizza I’ve ever tasted

Went for a meal for a friends birthday, great pizza with lots of options. Staff were friendly and attentive. Pool table was a good addition to continue enjoying ourselves after our meal with a few drinks. Would recommend. Fairly priced.

OMG, what a find, great pub, but even better, the pizza is just worth a Michelin star guide just for that.

Stayed here 6/1/25 and ate in the pub. Room was lovely, clean and very comfortable. The service and food in the pub was amazing!! Sam’s food recommendations were great! I have previously stayed in the New Inn and loved it there but The Stump is definitely my favourite and I will be back soon 🤩

Lovely place to enjoy a coffee and a catch-up

Stayed here for a 50th birthday reunion with two other couples. Had a delicious meal with great cocktails, excellent wine and the service was exceptional. Our rooms were really clean and beautifully presented. The beds were very comfortable and we would love to return

Hands down the best gluten free pizza I’ve ever had, wife said her pizza and cheesy garlic bread was perfect! Service and the staff were perfect 10/10

We had a great experience at the Stump yesterday. We were seeking dog-friendly casual pizza dining and the Stump really delivers. It’s an out if town location, an old coaching house probably full of little conjoined rooms, great decor, and packed with character. We all went for mixed starters and pizza, although there were plenty of non-carb heavy items available as well excellent local beer, nice staff and a killer tiramisu. Recommended, especially if you are encumbered with dogs.

Fancy place, lovely seating areas, I imagine the garden would be lovely in the Summer months. My waitress was lovely. Food... delicious! The crispy potatoes were like nothing I've seen before and tasted amazing! Only 4 stars out of 5 because it's quite expensive. Over £70 for a couple of pizzas, garlic bread and 2 sides is quite excessive.

Stayed here this week, lovely rooms, nice place, menu disappointed unless u like pizza, which were good, I got asked to move my table twice in the space of ten minutes, not only am I resident for the week and spending alot of money, unfortunately that is terrible service , musical chairs, one guy working away, can't relax as obviously one guy on his own is a liability

This place was highly recommended in the top 50 pubs to visit in the Cotswolds and it didn't disappoint. Food was amazing, beautiful restaurant and a fire on the go. Pizza was as good as I've eaten in Naples and my wife loved her pasta. Definitely worth a visit.

We recently went to the Stump as we had heard so many good reports about it. We booked in for Sunday Lunch and it really didn't disappoint! It was fantastic! The pizzas looked incredible too! There is a good selection of beers on tap from Guinness to Butty Bach! And there is a great kids menu of pizzas, and is dog friendly! We had a lovely lunch and will definitely be back again soon to try the pizzas!

The pizzas were excellent, as was the tiramisu. The only downside was how incredibly noisy it was when eating inside the restaurant. This was a Tuesday evening and it wasn't packed, but I could barely hear my husband, who was sat next to me. Definitely ask to move elsewhere if possible. The staff are great and the food is worth a visit.

Disappointed with the staffs welcome and lack of table service. Lovely venue and decor and we enjoyed sitting outside. We were told they have no non alcoholic drinks, we later discovered a mocktail on the menu but the staff weren’t aware it existed. Starters were underwhelming and the pizza was raw :( shame we won’t be returning. Had wanted to try it for a while

Booked 3 rooms for a local wedding. A great pub/hotel, good value, staff were all very friendly and breakfast was really excellent.

Beautiful food, ruined by staff allowing another patron to smoke a cigar right next to young children eating in the outside area. Won't be coming back as staff are unable to enforce common sense.

WONT BE GOING BACK FOR FOOD AGAIN ... * SO A MIXED REVIEW ... DRIVEN PAST A FEW TIMES AND LOOKED LIKE WOULD BE NICE TO VISIT .. PLUS POINTS ..LOVELY SETTINGS @@ FRIENDLY SERVICE @# FOOD TASTED NICE .. BUT **** SUNDAY LUNCH PRICE WAS NOT ADVERTISED AND WHEN WE GOT THE BILL IT WAS A LITTLE MORE THAN WE THOUGHT !! AGAINST OTHER CHOICES ON THE MENU ££ ALSO ONLY AFTER WE PAID WE NOTICED A 12.5% CHARGE HAD BEEN ADDED WITHOUT US REALISING AT THE TIME AS THE YOUNG LADY BOUGHT BILL AND MACHINE AT SAME TIME ... NO CHOICE IN WHEATHER WE WANTED TO PAY OR NOT @!!! I LIKED THE BEEF BUT AGAIN WAS NOT TOLD IT WOULD BE SERVED PINK SO MY PARTNER DIDNT ENJOY AS MUCH . ALSO ALTHOUGH THE YORKSHIRES WHERE HUGE ,!@ THEY ACTUALLY JUST TURNED INTO DUST AS THEY HAD BEENN HEAVLY COOKED ( NOT SURE IF THAT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE LIKE THAT see photos ) .... SO WE MIGHT STOP FOR A DRINK AGAIN BUT WOULD DEF WOULD CHECK COSTS AND HOW IT WAS TO BE SERVED BEFORE EATING AGAIN ... ..

Delicious. And a fantastic name!

After regularly eating at the stump since covid, we enquired about holding our small wedding reception in Russell’s Barn in the garden. From start to finish, the team were more than accommodating, allowing us to have several visits to plan, phone calls and emails about food and the party. We had the best day ever thank you to the team, who set up all our stationary and worked with us to make the day run smoothly. Would highly recommend the barn for birthdays and small wedding parties if you are looking for a venue. Our wedding party booked out most of the rooms and had a lovely breakfast the morning after the wedding, where staff were more than helpful and friendly again. Thank you so much again!

Nice pub, we didn't eat there but beer and service was good.

Place is by the road, easy access. The environment is amazing (we caught a sunny evening) and the food exceeded my expectations, delicious starters, amazing pizzas and great desert. Recommend it!

Pleasant stay following family wedding. Breakfast was excellent for adults but a little lacking for options for kids. Shower pressure not great but other than that, comfortable room, friendly staff and good location. Pub also very nice although only had breakfast

Poor service, left standing for a table for 10 mins while nobody even bother come to reception. Finally someone came, said will find us a table, waited another 10 mins, came back admitted she forgot, asked us to wait again.

Nice large pub with an outdoor area. We ate there several times during the week we were in the Cotswolds. There is nothing wrong with the service, we were treated friendly and served quickly. The first point of contact for Chedworth. 😄

The pizza was excellent More of pub than a restaurant feel. Slightly noisy for a date night Would be good for a group Waiters were good

Stayed in Chedworth for our dogs holiday. The Stump is brilliant Great pizzas and drink selection No wonder they are busy most evenings The main stay for our after walk trips in the area. Staff are very welcoming and friendly. If we are ever in the area again we will definitely visit!

Pizza bases the best in memory, worth going just for that! Add in the setting, atmosphere, pool table, beers, ciders and you've got a winning recipe!
