Fantastic setting and very pleasant place to relax for a stay, was shocked to find a service charge of approx 22 pound hand been added to my room on top of the 450 pound nightly fee. If charging that much for a room I don’t see why a service charge is required. Cocktails were also pricey at over 20 pound each and also this came with an additional service charge. These elements tarnish a stay that otherwise was very pleasant.

Really disappointed to have our company Christmas lunch cancelled with no real explanation and with less than 10 days to go. Just left a message on my voicemail. Very unprofessional. Not easy to find another large booking elsewhere. Offered a glass of bubbly when we rebook! We shall not be doing so.

The location and layout of the hotel was lovely, and staff were friendly. It was let down by the food - either the prices needed to be lowered or the quality needed to be higher. I could pay less for a Michelin star dining experience in Brimingham and the food was not to this standard.

Great times in a stunning establishment, these guys know how to operate, the carrot room was suitably mad in the best way and the food from the Ox barn was nothing short of 12/10, our waiter James was a serious character with a wealth of knowledge in both the food & booze side of things. The Swan provided an idealistic pub lunch with negroni on tap. Congratulations to Millie and the team, we’ll be back X

My husband and I enjoyed our week at Thyme, a beautiful Cotswold gem. Our accommodation was spacious and comfortable, our garden courtyard and views of the quaint hamlet of Southrop was a nice break from London. The countryside was spectacular. The cuisine at the Ox Barn was always well prepared and appetizing. The local pub, The Swan, was also a wonderful place for dinner after hiking around the hills and towns in the Cotswolds.Thank you to the attentive staff for making our stay at Thyme a memorable one.

The hotel its self looks amazing. If you apply for a job then do not waste your time. Myself and someone close I know, both went for the interviews, they made an excuse that they’re “still interviewing”. Bit of a joke if you ask me. Patiently waiting for a promising future only to be literally left waiting with no clarification. As I said i also know someone very close whom have had this happen to them and I’m sure this won’t be the last time. Absolute time wasters. Do not recommend

I have attended yoga and Pilates three times in the large barn. The facilities are perfect for yoga and the barn restoration is magnificent.

What a place!!! I simply call it ThymeLand now , because just by entering the gates you are greeted by those lovely dark brown wool covered 'knights', and there's lots of them, and when you start thinking that all is too good for you to be in the right place there you see ' Thyme ' with all its beauty. If you are lucky as I was , you'll get the chance to meet Milly the general manager, or Penny the marketing consultant which will simply emerge you in an captivating world ,structured by these 'offaly long' wood beams, perfectly preserved( never seen anything like that ) and they will talk you through on how everything started . The rooms are just full of details, calls you to ask 100 questions on ' how did you think on doing that ? ' so original. It's own website , everything I've seen and heard about the place , it makes all the justice in the world ,and more. And the food there , would simply continue Milly's story ,where eating with your eyes is more than an old saying of true wisdom. FAREWELL ThymeLand, looking forward to coming back .

Just had wonderful overnight at Thyme. Service and food in restaurant outstanding. Very well looked after by Nick, Nathalie and Kirra. They all went the extra mile to make our stay special. Lovely touches include in room hamper for a pre-breakfast breakfast and a hot water bottle delivered to the room. Together with the sublime bed and bedding we were ensured a perfect night’s sleep. . Couple of niggles but nothing to marr Cotswold heaven.

We booked a Friday lunch for us and my aunt; lucky we did. We had a wonderful welcome by the staff on a very chilly day. As we were lead to out table we realised the place was packed with diners. Our table was close to the log burner and the heat was welcome and we could remove our coats and relax. There were a lot of talking at other tables but we were still able to speak and hear. There is a relaxed attitude throughout the restaurant. No pressure to order and leave. It was clear the servers were observant and attentive. The menu plus the Specials Board was long and it took a while to pick our dishes. It took a while for the dishes to arrive, we only had mains, but considering the number of diners it was not overlong. The food when it arrived was perfect; Sea Base fillet, Lamb Tagine and Pan-Roast Chicken. Well cooked and good portions. It is not cheap but the food, ambience and service makes it good value for money.

I met some friends for lunch at The Pig, i looked at places close to Cirencester and noticed The new pig in the Cotsworlds. What an amazing find. We had an outstanding lunch. I had the pork and the Chef accomodated me with my garlic allergy. I can't remember the last time I ate lunch out in the UK and enjoyed it so much. Lovely, I will return.

Such a cute little place! The full English breakfast and the scones were so good. The owner or server was so nice and lovely. It was a great place for a rainy day breakfast.
