We had a great experience! The staff members are friendly. The owner is very accommodating and making sure that every customers are being attended properly. One more thing; they allow dogs to come in and offer water for them straight away. Fab! The food are definitely lovely and tasty. Me and my boyfriend certainly recommend this restaurant as the taste of the food is very authentic. The atmosphere is magneficent!

Visiting Da Luigi Bistro as part of our anniversary celebrations, and it didn’t disappoint. A quaint little restaurant in the heart of chipping campden, a warm greeting direct from the owner as we arrived, and shown to our table. The food was absolutely delicious, opting for a chorizo starter, and polpette madalena, the main courses of pollo milanese and penne amatriciana followed and the taste was unbelievable. Fresh ingredients, seasoned to perfection, and nice and hot too! Thank you to both the owner and all the staff for a wonderful evening, we will certainly be back.

A real Tardis, looks small from the front but opens up. Good varied menu at reasonable prices. Great atmosphere and staff friendly and helpful. Will be returning on a regular basis😄

As a BBC food critic..I really cant fault this restaurant. Front of house manager..cant get better. Service, attentive attractive staff. Food..lamb cutlets, superb. Try to sit downstairs..more ambience. Its a 9 outta 10 for me

A real Italian restaurant. Excellent food & great service. First time we have eaten here but hopefully not the last! A wide range of food & drinks. It was very busy for a Tuesday night in November which is surely a good sign.

I have had takeaway a few times and the food was excellent so we decided to eat in the restaurant. I ordered the carbonara which I have had before. The pasta had been changed from linguini to pappardelle pasta which differed from the menu description. It was completely tasteless plain pasta with bacon on the top which wasn’t crispy. No evidence of any sauce (egg yolk or cheese) of any kind. It was just plain pasta. They had also added chopped chicken into the dish which should not be in a carbonara. When the waiter finally came over to check how the meal was, I explained there was chicken in the dish and he said he would remove it from the bill. When the bill arrived only my drink was taken off. To be honest I would not go back. My husband’s pizza was average. We were really disappointed as we love Italian food. There was a noisy table of six people in the room which seemed to receive all of the waiters attention. They were so loud we could not have a conversation. Overall not impressed and we wouldn’t go back.

I came in two months ago and I had the pleasure of being attended by the lovely but professional Chiara. Had the most authentic Italian food with my husband. Kid friendly. Can I bring my dog next time?

It was very busy when we got there so we had to wait about 15 mins for a table which was no problem because we were provided with seats to wait. We were seated downstairs which had a lovely atmosphere. The good was very nice and the waiting staff very attentive

Fantastic restaurant 👌 top drawer service by the staff. The food was brought promptly & delicious with full of flavor. The Merlot was excellent. Will definitely come back for a second visit.

Excellent food, excellent service. Great atmosphere and the staff friendly and efficient. We had lunch there and went back for dinner it was so good.

Lovely meal at this restaurant this week. All 3 courses delicious. For that it’s 5 stars. However I sadly have to remove a star because on top of the bill they will add 12.5% service charge. This isn’t acceptable when only 2 are dining. If I feel I have had good service I will leave a tip and I would have here. But to take that decision away from me isn’t right. It is optional and I had it taken off so didn’t pay it. I’m sure it’s for the American tourists in any case who will probably see it as sales tax and then add a tip as well but that’s up to them. Personally I think it’s sharp practice and if I’m ever charged that I have it taken off and that ruins their chance of a tip. Sorry guys. Everything was great but I object to this unjustified charge.

Just arrived home after a fabulous evening in the amazing restaurant. We are here on holiday and fancied something different to the normal pub grub so we thought we would go 'Italian' for a change. Excellent decision! Wonderful food Excellent service and warm cosy atmosphere knowing the rain was pouring out side! Thank you for making our evening special.

We stayed for 6 nights in Chipping Campden and ate at this restaurant 4 of the nights. Whoever they have as a chef really knows what he/she is doing! We travel frequently and this little restaurant is a hidden gem. From steaks to seafood to pasta - everything is 5 star. The little restaurant has a very welcoming warm atmosphere with its little lights and soft honey coloured Costwolds stone walls. The staff was always warm and friendly, the service was superb and the prices were very reasonable. We would recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Was going to have a pizza takeaway as visiting in a caravan and having two dogs with us. We were surprised that dogs were allowed in the restaurant. So we had a lovely meal rather than just a pizza. Highly recommended for anyone visiting chipping campden this restaurant is a must.

Visited here while on holiday nearby. There was six of us including a lady in a wheelchair and we were treated to an excellent experience. The food was amazing for all of the party, and the service was friendly and welcoming. I would rate this Bistro as the best we have ever visited and we all left that evening feeling completely satisfied. Just great!!

Exceptional service from the moment we arrived. The food is outstanding. The tiramisu is the best I’ve had (and I’ve had plenty 🤣). It offers a varied menu. Beautiful room and thoughtfully decorated. Can’t wait to return.

Very pleasant small restaurant with very friendly staff. The restaurant gets very busy and perhaps the table management old be a little better as there were a lot of people milling around the entrance waiting for their tables to become free. There was a good choice on the menu. Food was delivered quickly. One main was a bit too Al dente and very salty. But apart from that the food was delicious and we would definitely eat there again.

Seabass half cold half hot. Lasagne luke warm. Food is microwaved. Dishes exchanged now hot, dry and shrivelled. Overpriced, didn't bother with dessert. Presume they are not bothered for repeat business and just rely on tourists. Avoid

Ordered a takeaway last night... one pizza was gorgeous the other wasn't cooked at all and needed 30 minutes in the oven to be edible... the worst was putting the taramisu on top of the hot fries in a bag... so disappointing At the time I picked up my order, the restaurant was empty so I don't understand the owners response

Yum, the best Italian restaurant we have sample in Oxfordshire, with incredibly well caring staff. The atmosphere was warm and friendly by the staff and other customers. The food was brought to us very promptly. And the service was top drawer coming with a smile, and all the desserts were to die for, including the lemon cake!

Nice pizza! We walked in on a Sunday, and although the restaurant was full, we were happy to do a takeaway. The staff was busy, but the bartender was helpful and took our order. The pizza was wood fired and while the pasta portion was very smaller than expected , it was still edible :-)

Went here after a day in chipping campden. What a wonderful way to end the day! I don't usually leave reviews, but this restaurant deserves it! Wonderfully welcoming staff, Beautiful inside, with a really nice atmosphere. Food was served very quickly, and tasted absolutely fantastic! We really wish we lived closer.... but we will be willing to make the 60 minute drive to eat here again. Perfect! 5 stars! Best place I've been to for years. Thank you!

Service was fantastic - all staff were very friendly and attentive, with one member even sharing some trivia with us about a more unique drink that we ordered (such a small thing, but a really nice touch). Very authentic Italian restaurant! Fabulous food and great service. Started with garlic foccacia which was melt in the mouth! My wife had sea bass and I had chicken in mushroom sauce, both with sautéed potatoes and vegetables. Finished off with homemade tiramisu! The perfect meal and perfect service!

Incredible experience. We had pizza, focaccia and spaghetti carbonara. The dessert is incredible, the place is brutal and the service is unbeatable!! The site is spectacular! A 15 out of 10!!!

A sublime setting, the staff are welcoming and smiling, the managers are adorable and the chef does wonders in the kitchen. From starter to dessert everything is excellent!

Not one for normally leaving a review but when the food and service was as good as it was last night I cannot share for others. From the warm welcome by the lady behind the bar and the two girls that served the lower restaurant all the way through to the fresh tasting seafood. Local to us and we will certainly be visiting on a regular basis now. Thank you to the owner and all the staff for a great evening. See you soon

The food and service surpasses that of many other Italian restaurants. The ambiance is warm and inviting, making it ideal for a romantic evening or a family meal. Delicious authentic Italian cuisine. Celebrating our wedding anniversary and everything was perfect. 3 course set lunch excellent value for money. Service was prompt and very friendly.

From the moment we arrived (as a table of ten people), we were warmly welcomed and nothing was too much trouble. The service was incredible and I enjoyed watching the staff interact, who all seemed very happy and content. It was truly a wonderful evening and the staff moved our table around, to accommodate our large party, with no bother - the food was exceptional. We had shared starters and an array of dishes, all extremely high quality and tasty. The owner took family members home in his own car, as they were concerned about taxis. Truly: a one off, superb restaurant. Thank you!

The bread and olives we had to start were so good, I think you can tell a lot about a place by how well they do simple things like this! Pasta dishes were great. Would definitely come back next time we are in the area.

Being tired of pub food, we decided on Italian today. Everything was really good-caprese salad, focaccia, spaghetti bolognese, margherita pizza, and veal cutlet with pasta arrabiata. Sweet little dining room and pleasant service.

Food and cocktails are amazing! Staff were very friendly and attentive. The limoncello with the bill was very nice touch!

Was visiting the area and had lunch at this Italian restaurant on a very hot day. I had salmon with mixed salad, and my husband had lobster pasta. Both meals were so fresh and beautifully presented. The staff were friendly and professional and we loved everything about this place. I was particularly impressed as I’m a Coeliac and I also have other food allergies, and they went all out to make sure I ate well. We wish we lived nearer and could return regularly. Fantastic restaurant, if you’re in the area you need to go.

This is a restaurant you have to visit if you are in the area and enjoy authentic Italian food. Warning- it is extremely popular (for good reason) and busy so I would strongly suggest that you book! There is a large dining area downstairs so it is roomier than you may think from the reception area. The menu is extensive and includes numerous authentic Italian dishes in addition to the usual pizza and pasta options. Prices are very reasonable.

I stayed in a hotel in Chipping Campden for 2 days and went to a couple of restaurants on the high street. Da Luigi was the best out of all. We liked it so much that we went there twice. We ordered the ravioli, pollo with funghi and the vegetarian pizza. All of which was fab. The tiramisu was to die for! A bit different but just delicious. I highly recommend the place.

We were the table from hell. Two well behaved but big dogs and two oldies with a big wheelchair and a questionable grasp on reality. Fantastic and accommodating service and tasty food. Thanks for a good night!

We booked a table for this evening which was a nightmare- 5 people including a wheelchair, 2x 92 year olds & 2 big dogs. The staff couldn't have been nicer, very accommodating & tolerant of our party. The food was excellent & great evening. Thank you so much to the lovely staff

Brilliant place to visit whilst on hols for birthdays this year & last year. Lovely people very accommodating, we had doggy with us & he was welcomed too in main restaurant by open door which was great as it so warm. Atmosphere always great a real feeling of being in Italian home sharing their food, advice to book as always busy but can seat you in bar & outside area. Wished we lived nearer.

We had a delicious meal, one of the best in the Cotswolds while we are on holiday. The restaurant was cozy, yet lively with many families celebrating a night out. The servers were very attentive and friendly. The gamberoni alla diavola and the lasagna were outstanding.

The service was so good that we were able to join 4 couples after lunch. Delicious food, a late lunch, good wine, very friendly service. Perfect!

It could be that the best tiramisu in the world is made by Nicola at da Luigi. We certainly have no doubt about it. It's only when it comes to choosing his fabulous cheesecake that we are lost. Luigi and his crew (the recently immigrated chef from Sicily is fabulous) are an unexpected blessing for anyone staying in Chipping Campden. Anita and Andrea

An extremely lovely evening meal for 6 delivered by very friendly and incredibly accommodating staff. With very little notice, they adjusted our booking time and number of diners. They could not have been more helpful, and we were so very grateful to them.

We visited Da Luigi last Saturday and could not have been more impressed. We have had a takeaway before but this time we sat outside on a lovely sunny evening. The service was excellent from the start, we were welcomed so warmly and they bought out a water bowl for our dog. The whole team were very kind and attentive. Once our order was taken, our gluten free pizza and Pollo Milanese was served up in no time. This is without a doubt the best gluten free pizza I’ve had in the UK or Italy and the whole meal was fantastic. Lovely fresh ingredients and cooked to perfection. Couldn’t recommend more highly! We visit lots of restaurants in the Cotswolds and surrounding areas, this might be my favourite yet. Thanks for the lovely meal and hospitality.

If I could give it 6 stars, I would. Truly one of the most amazing meals we've had. We recommend starting with the Caprese Salad, and then the Papparadelle Pollo e Bacon, the Lunguini Carbonera, or the special salmon dish they had that night. Have a glass of the Primotivo.

Amazing food - thank you for opening in our town - we love it

We started with a rocky start, and the waitress couldn't understand what was being asked (medium steak) and brought out a lasagna. Cutlery was dirty, and when asked for a change, dirty was taken away, and nothing returned. When we spoke to the gentleman in charge, he rectified all issues immediately. He was so helpful and couldn't apologise enough. The food was beautiful, I'd thoroughly recommend for the food.

Food was actually amazing . Found this on our last night it was so gorgous . The resturant was quirky and very relaxing lovely setting . A real great find the veal was amazing . The linguini was beautiful and the chicken in mushroom sauce was amazing so tasty and presented beautiful . Thankyou for a lovely evening .

Place was lovely, however service left a little to be desired. With myself ordering two drinks for me, only one was delivered when asked for a bottle of tap water, nothing was delivered. The server forgot a portion of fries from my order, when asked as soon as the main was delivered, it took almost 15 minutes for them to come out, by which point, my main was ate. Bill said fries were £4.50 - Menu say £4.00

The food was very good! We ordered burrata pizza and pollo milanese. The stuff was super friendly. My only comment was our table was by a peroni fridge and the waiters area, so no great, and I would suggest getting rid of the tv....is a lovely restaurant and doesn't need that distraction.

Just absolutely fab. It was a busy Saturday night and they didn’t rush us at all. Had the most delicious burrata, pasta, and tiramisu. Would highly recommend, but you should book a table in advance.

We went as a party of 9 people - and had a fabulous lunch at this gorgeous find in a lovely area. We would absolutely love to return again- such an authentic Italian meal, with such a great and warm hospitality. Loved it!

Had an absolute nightmare of an experience at this location. Went there with my uncle to order pizzas to go. Firstly, we were met by the people at the bar who were completely lost and unsure how we were to place and order. They pointed in the direction of the manager. When we spoke to the manager he initially brushed us off. I asked him what size the pizzas were and was completely ignored while he was on his iPad. After some prompting regarding the placement of our order, my uncle ordered two pizzas and began to provide his name. My uncle has an ethnic name and the manager cut him off abruptly and said he didn’t have time to write his name down and wrote down ‘zim’. My uncles name is Waseem. Not that hard to write or pronounce. We confronted the manager about this blatant racism/disrespect and he fixed the name and put in our order mumbling something about not being able to speak English. After we got the pizzas the orders were incorrect. I wish we had checked our order at the store. The pizzas themselves left much to be desired. Mis-shaped thick crust with poor quality cheese and toppings, barely seasoned at all. We noticed similar treatment of other customers who had just entered the premises. Please avoid this place at all costs.

Hands down the best meal we’ve had on our week-long trip to the Cotswolds! We were welcomed in with a warm smile and open arms (literally) and the whole place smelled delicious! Our appetizers were delicious, the bread perfect, and our pasta couldn’t have been better. Our only regret is that we can’t experience this for the first time again!

It was delicious food and great customer service. The waiters were really friendly. The pollo bbq pizza was a really nice pizza although it wasn’t in a precise circle shape. One of the best customer service that I’ve ever seen!
