Nadu is the place to go if your looking for delicious Sri Lankan cuisine. For starters I had lamb rolls. They were amazing, bursting with flavour and spice. For main I had ceylon kothu. Again beautiful. I've never tried Sri Lankan cuisine before but I'm glad I did. I hosted a dinner party there yesterday and my guests were happy with the food and service. So am I. Thank you to all you lovely people at Nadu.

Great service and food, we were served very quickly once sat down!

Absolutely amazing. The aeta midulu beef large plate was one of the best things I've eaten, the dosa is incredible in both size and flavour and the brinjal side is one of the best things I've seen anyone do to an aubergine. I live too far away to come back regularly so the campaign to get them to release cookbook starts here. Forgot to add, the drinks are also brilliant.

Lovely dining experience. We had a booth with corrugated glass for privacy. The food was tasty and the cocktails well balanced. Our waitress was also friendly and came promptly to our table. Would go again.

Monjour’s customer service is exceptional

Wow, what a restaurant! Went here to start off my stag do. We didn't have a reservation but managed to get a table near the kitchen. The staff were really friendly and responsive without making us feel rushed. The food was simply incredible; the lamb rolls were crunchy and meaty without being overly fatty, the prawns were spicy, chewy, and had a wonderful crunch, the black pork curry was full of flavour. Definitely bringing my wife here when we get the chance.

Very good experience here. Service was lovely, so welcoming and great. My dad was coughing so they brought a jug of water for the table and I felt that was so nice of them to notice and act quick! The food is unreal! You must try the fish curry and the pork belly meal, you won’t regret it!! The bone marrow meal was excellent too! I highly recommend this restaurant 🥺 they also are dog friendly. We will definitely come back!

For the premium pricing, I would have anticipated either larger portions or a more refined execution of certain dishes. Overall, Nadu is a great spot for those looking to enjoy Sri Lankan flavors in a lively setting, but be prepared for a bill that might feel a little steep. Worth a visit, but perhaps more as a treat than a regular dining spot.

Omg literally the best curry I've ever eaten in my life. Being a cook for over 30 yrs. The black pork curry was so flavoursome and spicy. My girlfriend had the shrimp and was sweet coconut in flavours. Beautiful light textured dosas with amazing little side dips. 100 percent going back there

Food was average...chicken curry was very bad ...the price is too hight .I won't recommend this restaurant to anyone...its not worth..

Everything about this place is a YES. Incredible service from the moment we sat down and incredible food. A big thank you especially to Annie, a wonderful server who just made it feel like we were there for a chat. The head chef was also lovely when I thanked him for the meal. Food and drink 8/10 Service 7/10 Decor and atmosphere: 8/10 Service speed 8/10 Cost 7/10 The best: Biggest dosa in town. The worst: Bookings essential, a bit of confusion between staff at times but likely due to how busy the place gets. The lowdown: Food is smashing, be prepared for a bit of spice though. The pork belly was a favourite of mine as I found other dishes a bit on the acidic side. Dosas and hoppers are a must add when dining here.

The staff were very friendly and attentive and the atmosphere was lovely. However, the food wasn't good to me even though my partner liked his one. The spice was too overpowering to me in particular and all foods were quite oily. I think it was too expensive to pay for those dishes... it could have been better we come another day having different other dishes..

One of the best restaurants in Bristol. Been there quite a few times and the curries are always spot on. Recommend it if you are looking for good and authentic curries.

Delicious, but spicy and quite expensive for the size of the dishes. If you're a fan of spice, perfect! If you aren't into spice, maybe ask? The staff are helpful and contributed to a lovely atmosphere

Been wanting to try this place for ages. Cuisine is distinct and delicious with excellent service and a marvellous variety of different things to try.

We popped in for a quick pre theatre supper, totally delicious. I highly recommend the prawn coconut curry, not sure its proper name. The service was friendly and quick, highly recommend.

Everything was delicious, good array of vegetarian and vegan options, the staff were so accommodating and friendly.

Last minute booking on a Saturday night and they squeezed us in earlier than promised. Wasn't sure as the interior looked like a chain but stunning Sri Lankan dood with great service. Idlis could be bigger ( VERY minor gripe) HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Thankyou. X

Staff are friendly and everything was delicious and came out fast. Really love the sambal and the black pork curry, but all really great.

Adjusted the food star count (given it looked and sounded good, but we didnt actucallg try it) after the venues' very dramatic and defensive response. One love to you too. ------------ Very very noisy (music, large groups). Good for large groups/parties but not if you actually want a decent conversation with your dinner partner. Menu looks,innovative and probably tastes great; we had drinks but didn't stay and eat cos of the noise levels

I have had the Dosa for lunch 3 days in a row. Friendly, relaxed, not expensive and super fresh and tasty.

Went for family meal (adults), food was delicious, staff friendly and helpful with choices.

First time I visited it was amazing, truly delicious dishes and good prices. Second time, a few months ago it was a complete disaster. First plate was the bone marrow, full of fat and 3 pieces of meat. Needless to say that I had to re order a second dish as I was still hungry. The second one was the black pork curry. The sause was spicy for my palate (I know this is personal preference) but every single piece of meat was full of fat. This meat was the lowest quality and should not be served to customers in an expensive restaurant as prices were higher than the first time. Would I go again or recommend it ? No, evidently there is no consistency to cooking or cooking providers.

Ordered the black pork curry from here and it was possibly the nicest curry I have ever eaten. Highly recommend this place if you enjoy rich foods.

We were visiting Bristol and arrived late but wanted to eat out, we walked the street staring into various different options and seeing what took our fancy, we tried a few other places first but the universe decided we should be pushed to go to Nadu and we are so glad it did. Every single mouthful of everything we ordered was wonderful. The Black Pork Sri Lankan curry had super soft meat, the coconut shrimp sauce was impeccable. The tear and share dosa and various dips were just perfect! Masala potatoes so creamy yet so deep in flavour. Even tried the Arrackuiri's and they were great too. 10/10 we didn't and haven't stopped gushing since visiting. If you think it is on the pricier side, then I can at least say the quality matches the price entirely.

We showed up with no booking on a Tuesday evening at 730pm and managed to get a space to sit and eat at the bar. The atmosphere was great and the staff were friendly. It was busy and alive for a weekday night. The food was absolutely delicious, a 10/10. Great vegatarian options. We also had the sharing dosa which was hilariously large. Can 100% recommend this place.

RE booking above. I have to say without any reference, and only guided by where we were going to be out that evening in Bristol, we chose Nadu as it was in a convenient position. This however was the luckiest strike we have made in a very very long time! The food was exceptional and then some, the staff were amazing especially the human who looked after us "apologies for not remembering his name" the atmosphere was buzzing and the place itself a delight to be in (both ladies in our group commented on how clean the toilets were that's a major plus ) To say that we will be back is an understatement! As it will be with a multitude of friends to spread the word. Thank you all again for making the start of our evening out a five star experiance.

food came out quickly on a busy friday eve. had about 6?? dishes in total. couple sides, couple curries and the large dosa. between 4 of us and that was definitely enough. cashew curry slaps. way better than the coconut tree

Loved it. So so tasty with lovely service and great fun atmosphere even at 6:30. Huge Dosa, flaming cocktail and delicious fish curry. Our little dog was very welcome although he could have had a swim in the water bowl😂.

Awesome food. I’ve eaten in a few Sri Lankan places in Bristol now and this one is probably the best in terms of authenticity and quality. Got a decent menu with a variety of dishes. Little bit on the pricey side but you are getting decent food.

Very good food! My partner and I went for an early dinner on Friday and we’re not disappointed at how fast our food came. Highly recommend the prawn curry and the black pork curry, so flavourful and lightly spiced. Great space for food with groups since the dishes are small to share

Lively restaurant a short distance from the art gallery we attended, although it was busy we were quickly seated and ordered the food, friendly attentive staff, good menu and lively atmosphere plus excellent food.

Overpriced - for us - lots of trendy talk - would be nice to just have good honest simple value food and genuine service. The 'over nice' gushing service came across as insincere, not for me again.

It's nice dark and cozy inside, lots of big tables and a few very privately hidden small ones. The food is great, but I'd appreciate some pictures on the menu. Lots of flavours and spices, yum! Huge dosas, crispy amd very shareable. The drinks menu is quite limited, cocktails are pricy and the choice isn't great. However, all drinks we ordered were very tasty and refreshing. No iced coffees - not that I expected them, just a side note. Portions vary in sizes, some things from the same part of the menu were surprisingly big and others - you guessed it - small. I'll come back to try more things for sure!

It was bustling for a Wednesday night which is always a good sign! We were visiting Bristol for 1 night and it was definitely the right choice to go to Nadu. Enjoyed the biggest, tastiest, and most delicious dosa I have ever eaten in the UK along with some yummy chutneys. The Lamb Rolls and the Brinjal side dish simply toooo tasty!! They have so nice mocktails too. The service was friendly.

Had an absolutely amazing meal at Nadu - an absolute taste explosion. Both the meat and vegetarian dishes were amazing. I particularly enjoyed the pork curry and the dosas. Only negative was rather slow service, but otherwise first class.

Delicious food, would definitely go back again when visiting Bristol. The tear and share dosa was crispy and authentic with tasty chutneys. Parotta was nice and flaky along with spicy chicken curry. The server was a bit rude but other than that, had a wonderful evening.

1st time visiting this restaurant I was seated quickly and the staff are friendly and efficient I had the lamb rolls to start. These were flavoured really well and came with some nice hot sauce The black pork curry was nice and the meat fell off the fat. Nice flavours again. Only issue I had, I asked if my starter could come out 1st, which I was told would be ok. This didn’t happen which meant I had to eat everything straight away. I won’t lose any sleep over this. The food came out 5 mins after ordering.

Introduced to this delightful restaurant on Sunday when visiting our daughter in Bristol. Cracking service and refreshing atmosphere - certainly check it again when next in the City.

Food was phenomenal and service was great. Shantha was a super friendly girl and helpful with the recommendations and we loved everything. Highly recommend this place as the food is authentic!! We will definitely visit again.

Our daughter (who lives in Bristol) wanted to visit here for her birthday, as she wanted to try the large dosa. The service was good and the ( delicious) food arrived quickly. My only complaint was the tin/metal plates we were given to use made the food go cold quickly, a bit of a bug bear for my husband and I. The large dosa did not disappoint and the condiments to go with were again very tasty. In hind sight we should have ordered more dishes for our group of six as we were hungry by the time we arrived back home a couple of hours later. My eldest described it as a picky bits tea!

I thought the food was pretty average in flavour. Having to pay extra for rice was rather disappointing, especially when the food is highly priced for what you get. This was lunchtime, and the menu felt quite limited also.

Aside from the Loud South Asian music, everything was really good. I ordered this buttery thin Nan that was spectacular with ribs and coconut rice, which was delicious and a special non alchoholic drink that gives you a buzz light feeling, all while very affordable.
