We visited here yesterday
We’ve been here a few times now and the service has always been a bit hit and miss but the breakfast definitely makes up for it!
I think after this visit it will probably be our last time, not because it’s bad but because the service is all over the place.
** We had no cutlery when our breakfast arrived
**apparently no table salt anywhere in the cafe
** 1 round of toast when it clearly said 2 on the board ( I did query it and the young girl said it should only be one but she kindly brought another)
Unfortunately she forgot to bring another butter with it.
I just think the whole place lacks in customer service, the staff aren’t rude they just don’t go out of there way to check that you have everything you need and you feel like you have to keep asking.
We were recommended this little restaurant and made our way there on a quiet Monday lunch without pre-booking. The restaurant was quiet and the waitress was very welcoming. The service was impeccable and with a smile. We had the scallops, mussels, Dover sole, lobster, prawns risotto and calamari: all fresh & perfectly cooked. The meal was washed down with a bottle of Bollinger which complemented the delicious seafood.
Really lovely place for some craft beers. Meet friends, staff are really friendly and knowledgable about the beers and local gins, if you don’t know what you want to order the staff take the time to find out what you like and pair a beer / gin to your taste, not failed us yet! We love this place it’s a little gem in the heart of Calne. Had limited opening hours so check it out before you go.

I cannot recommend this place enough. The blonde lady working today was just amazing!
We stopped at the chip shop part last time we were down and the chips are honestly second to none! So we had to come back.
This time the restaurant was open AND is dog friendly! And they really mean it!
Firstly, the portions are fantastic and I was only intending on having something small for lunch - that went out the window! I couldn’t even finish the chips I love so much 🤣
The lady couldn’t do enough for us, she was talking to the dogs, asked if she was ok to stroke them - which was really thoughtful and once she had given us our food, she brought out a sausage for the dogs.
She was just so friendly, so welcoming and gave such a nice vibe to the place.
Honestly, if you are looking for somewhere to eat, HERE!
My biggest regret is that we didn’t have any cash on us as I would’ve left a tip, and the card machine didn’t give the option to 😩
Honestly, staff like this really make a place & I cannot recommend it enough!

Food taste very good and generous portion for the price of 6.5 including delivery. The only problem is it takes nearly 2 hours to arrive but they apologied with very good altitude and a bag of chips so I have no problem.

The food is usually amazing but last night the chicken kebab meat didn't look cooked enough and the mixed kebab was dry and also under cooked hopefully just had a bad night as like I said the other times I've ordered it's been absolutely amazing food. Such a shame it got thrown out 😩😭
Rose Cottage is a great community cafe ran by amazing volunteers and lead by the charismatic and Friendly Nathan!
We ordered the breakfast and Nathan not only brought it out with a big smile but he did an amazing dance routine whilst serving us, it was like having Fred Astaire right at our table! Then the rest of the Kitchen staff joined him and sang us a medley of songs from Joseph and the techni colour dream coat, they were so good it was like being in the west end. The Hot chocolate was served with so much cream it looks liked a creamy volcano. We are pretty sure Lewis Capaldi was on the table opposite us as well.
This place is amazing. I lost some property in here a few weeks ago (worth more than £600.00) and the brilliant staff kept it safe. I’d highly recommend this place for late night drinks with family or friends too as the atmosphere is 10/10 (loving the stripper pole lol)
Whilst visiting some friends at a near by BMX shop I stumbled upon this amazing little shop -
Friendly staff and amazing shake!! I went for the Crunchie one accompanied with hot buttered tea cake!! Perfect little snack!!

Didn’t come for the food, the entertainment was absolutely amazing, Dan Hadfield as Gary Barlow was so good, such a great performance, a really great time had by all, just the ticket after all the rubbish from the last year etc….
Looking forward to what the club will put on next, we’ll be there again I’m sure.
Thank you for a great night…..
Had a wonderful evening in the pub & restaurant. The views over the ocean are spectacular and and a beautiful full moon and its reflection in the sea. The food was excellent and generous portions. The barman and waiter were busy at the start due to the rugby being on but were still very friendly and got our various orders correct.
We loved that this is a community pub and were happy to support it. Please support it too as it’s lovely and friendly and we want it to do well and stick around for many years to come!
Friendly welcome. Yummy Mocha and good toastie. Nice light space. Clean. Good Wifi.
Plenty of parking.
Shared a Gluten free slice, not so nice, but that's a very personal thing as I am not gluten free, SO a positive that this is on offer.
The New Inn has a fantastic atmosphere and although small the menu is vast and food is the best you could ask for. It is a great place to both eat and have a quiet friendly drink. I am looking forward to summer where you can enjoy the beer garden as well
