Fabulous Christmas Day lunch staff, atmosphere and food was fabulous a big thank you to Roanna for going the extra mile to look after us and make our day special.

We waited patiently for January and the Sunday Sharer Board to return! It was stunning and we will be back again. Service and atmosphere spot on.

We received very good service from Sam. The food was cooked perfectly and was very nice to eat.

Food was late And when arrived, it was overcooked When made Aware to the staff We was completely bewildered and shellshocked to have the ultimatum of eat it or leave it do yourself a favour and do not go to this miller and Carter the Western one is okay and the Exeter one is okay or there is the canal pub around the corner 1 mile that is far superior A very bad experience on New Year’s Eve

Another poor experience here, hoping it had improved. Stood waiting to be seated for ten minutes whilst staff chatted at the bar. Started came out with no side plates so ate bread off napkins, wine glasses were left on the table and not taken away so the table was cluttered. The dress smart casual rule as always is a joke with people scattered about dressed ready for the gym. Charging £39/£40 for a filet steak with this level of service is laughable. The food is good, but everything else needs improvement

Went for anniversary dinner which was amazing the service was awesome . Roanna our waitress was very friendly and helpful and had an excellent knowledge of menu and how to have our butcher block cooked each meat was completely cooked differently which add to the experience will definitely be back

It was alright, but the scallops were overcooked and the lobster wasn't as fresh as it could have been, also dessert took 20 mins to come....7/10 for food. 3/10 for service 🙄 a shame because the actually waitresses/waitors were lovely, Michaela was a great waitress! But the supervisor ignored us, leaving us waiting at the entrance for 10 mins, then ignored us when we were ready to be seated after a drink in the bar, and when she did finally turn to us she said 'let me take you to your table before I get caught up again' like we were some second thought. A shame seeing as it was my husband's birthday meal. Awfully pricey for the experience 🤕

Clear tourist trap. Check online about the fixed price lunch menu before you go as the staff will deceive you and pretend it doesn't exist.

My partner and I came for steaks this afternoon and were welcomed by very friendly staff, who were consistent throughout our visit (have to say, the experience was made all the better by the super friendly waiter (Bertrand). My partner had the Black Angus Sirloin - she said it was delicious however, the fat wasn't seared.. and I had the Black Angus Ribeye, which was actually perfect. For desert, we shared the brownie and ice cream.. the flavour of the brownie was incredible and you could tell it was made with quality ingredients however, it was a little too dry for a traditional brownie. All together, was a great atmosphere and I enjoyed my steak, for the price. My partner, on the other hand, thought hers was a bit chewy - so mixed reviews! Despite this, we would definitely return.

Our server Sam made our experience. Went above & beyond. Absolute asset to the restaurant.

Been here a few times and the food has been great, but tonight was awful. Missing food of my girlfriends plate and no sauce with my steak, told them when they put the food down and 20 minutes later they come out with the sauce saying is it too late for this, well yeah. Then when clearing the food she goes all done, I said yeah apart from the fries which I take off the plate for a minute later to palm my fries from the top to take away which I replied I wanted them to which she just walked off, when asked to take a madri off the bill for it they said they couldn't do it, poor service which I won't be visiting again seeing as it cost £96

So I've not been to a M&C in about 10 years and remember being amazing steak. Had a meal tonight and it was just disappointing. The starters were good, Chipotle chicken and the mushrooms, but they were better than the main and when the place prides itself on being good steak, that's not good. The steak didn't taste seasoned, I had to add salt and pepper to it. It was cooked right but just it didn't taste all that. For a £120 bill for 2 people having 3 courses and 2 drinks, I should've walked away raving about it, not going "meh."

From start to finish an incredibly friendly and professional service. The food was delicious (calamari, rump steak, hot chocolate brownie with coffee) our server (Bertrand) was engaging and looked after our every need above and beyond the standard you would receive in an exclusive dinning establishment. A truly delightful dinning experience that sets the standard for others to emulate.

Table booked for 14:00 Sunday 1st December. Drinks arrived 30 mins later first coarse followed 20 mins later. Mains 35 mins after and desert another 30 mins. I had the Sunday lunch menu and my wife just a main of normal menu. All told food was average due to poor cooking of the vegetables. Service very slow and the place was more than half empty so couldn’t understand why. Three times we asked for the bill and finally got up and paid by the bar to which I was over charged for my meal as they didn’t put it through as off Sunday menu. We will not be going back again.

Good food. Great customer service and Roanna our waitress was extremely Customer Focused. Fully recommended and will not hesitate in returning..

Dan, Connor and George were exceptional tonight. I might even go as far to say they could be the best barmen i have met. their warm welcome as we arrived was really appreciated and the pint i received was perfect! 10/10

We had a lovely late lunch here today! Their set lunch menu is amazing and such good value. We were served by a warm and welcoming gentleman called Bertrand, good service makes such a difference to the enjoyment of a meal. Will definitely be back and can’t recommend highly enough.

Didn't live up to reputation. Chicken wings were overcooked and bone dry. What's going on with a wedge of iceberg lettuce drowned in vinegar (because it definitely wasn't the sauce I ordered) I would point out that complaining at the time was not an option, as there was so much wrong it would have been embarrassing and I was the only one in the party that objected, others said theirs was OK....nobody left and said "that was amazing" for £50 per head - I expected more Would I go back? - not if I was paying - Berni Inns did it better in the 80's

My sons 18th, very disappointing for him as he forgot his id. Although his girlfriend wasn't asked for id. Service was the slowest ever. Starters 1 forgotten. Mains 3 out of 12 was cold. During the meal nobody was asked if they wanted a drink, so my husband went to the bar. When food came out 10 minutes later chips and veg followed. Unfortunately they can't deal with big parties. Dessert menu we were asked, 40 minutes later we were still waiting. Only half the table cleared. Ended up asking for the bill as we had enough. Very slow service. Very disappointed 18 year old and parents. Definitely won't be returning. Definitely wasn't worth over £300.

We had a shared Sunday platter for two, brilliant concept by Miller & Carter! All the meats were excellent, as well as all the sides, my only little niggle was that I was expecting roast potatoes instead it was small potatoes. Our server Sam was amazing, attentive, friendly and very helpful! I just wish that there was more information about tipping servers because we assumed that it was included in the service charge, and I don’t think it was. So this may not be a financial tip for Sam, but we hope that our words could be considered as one. Once again, thank you so much Sam!

Phenomenal service from start to finish. We were greeted at the door by Grace, who happily sorted out our extra seat, we had only booked for 5 but brought an extra friend. This wasn’t a problem and she rapidly got us a table with another seat. Then, Sam, our waitress, gave us nothing but impeccable service throughout, regularly checking everything was okay with our meals - but not so much it was intrusive. The perfect amount. Very friendly faces throughout the service and nothing but a peaceful atmosphere. Thank you for making a sentimental meal with my friends, one to remember. I look forward to recommending the Taunton branch in the future.

We were served by Bertie who took excellent care of us, nothing was too much trouble, the food was exceptional and my husband had a lovely Birthday! The only downside was it wasn’t very warm and the toilets were freezing.

Arrived on time but stood at the door for ten minutes. Several staff members walked by and didn't acknowledge us waiting. Finally sat down and the starters arrived before the drinks which is shocking because they took a while! Mains took a long time and the food was nice but disapointed by the wait. There was a large table nearby which probably explains why it was slow, but it ruined the atmosphere as every other table had a face like a slapped arse because they were starving.

We went to Miller and Carter Taunton, Thursday night for their dates and steaks night. Fantastic selection across the menu and wonderful service as always from Bertrand. Bertrand has to be the best restaurant team member in the south west for any company. We look forward to seeing you again soon !

Wedding anniversary meal and what a great place to go. Staff friendly and Charlotte was very polite and explained the menu and even gave the wife some insider info as to what starter to have. When the food came out everything was spot on keep up the excellent work 👏 👌 🥰 Sorry about the photo and the lack of any food on it, but a testimonial to the quality of the food 😋

Company evening out. Amazing place and great food

Had a great meal out tonight with my uncle and his friend. We were served by Shannon who was brilliant (and also very funny and engaging which really added to our experience). The service was 10/10 and the food was outstanding. So please pass our compliments to the kitchen for our amazing steaks and to our very attentive waitress (and the rest of the staff who helped). We will absolutely be visiting again and hopefully very soon.

Really nice Miller & Carter, the food was excellent and the service was great! Our server Bertie was really friendly & funny. Ambience is great in there in the evening and they have ample seating. I would recommend the filet mignon with red wine sauce! It is the most expensive cut on the menu but soooo worth it! Their cocktails are also some of the best I have had, especially the pornstar martini and strawberry sling!
