Really nice chips. apparently the kid's burger isn't nice

The Globe Inn is simply fantastic. We were welcomed as if we had always belonged here. The pub is run with so much love, the food is fantastic, and it also offers vegetarian options! A great treasure we found here were the people who come here, especially the owners, with whom we had a wonderful evening! We are already looking forward to the next time here! ☀️🤍👋🏻Ady and Rebecca

Called in yesterday after a walk / what an absolute gem of a pub -Amanda the landlady, gave us a warm welcome, the beer was great and the menu scrumptious …we will be back for sure!

Had another family meal at The Globe. The starters and the mains were delicious and cooked to perfection.

Second vist and stay in the Smithy cottage. Mandy and stuart were as welcoming as ever. Luna was pleased to see us again. Great food and atmosphere, and as usual, Stuarts cooking was excellent. Can't recommend this pub enough. We will be booking again soon . Big thank you from us both.

We visited The Globe yesterday to meet up with some old friends. We received a warm welcome. Drinks were delivered to our table and all of our questions regarding the menu were answered with a smile! As we had arrived just before opening time the landlady apologised that our order would take a little longer than normal to be served, but this wasn't a problem. The Globe is off the beaten track, but well worth visiting if you are in the area, especially if you are looking for a dog friendly pub

Really sorry to have to say that our visit to The Globe Inn was not at all comfortable... Admittedly, our family party of eight were a little late, but we had booked for an early session in the hope that our numbers wouldn't be a problem and we were still there before 6.30pm. We were made aware immediately that we had caused a problem, by arriving later than booked, and for wanting to sit outside instead of inside. Having decided to make the best of our rather lukewarm reception, we set about ordering immediately so that we could try to make up for some of the lost time, and not cause the kitchen any further headaches. After looking at the menu, which said we should ask about the Inn’s vegan and gluten free options, two of our party with these particular dietary requirements went inside to make the enquiry. They were told that the Inn ‘does not appreciate vegans’, at which point we really felt that we needed to leave… This is the first negative review that I have posted on Google, and I do so now reluctantly, especially as we had been recommended this Inn by family who live locally. However, I’m afraid that our family party were not made to feel at all welcome, and those of us with particular dietary requirements even less so. We were able to return to our very local holiday accommodation and cook ourselves something instead, but we were nevertheless taken aback that the start to our looked forward to family evening out together turned out to be such an unexpected challenge…

The lads danced outside the Globe Inn and were made to feel very welcome by the owners. The small bar area was buzzing and, as country pubs go this is a good one. Sams Cider was my choice at the bar 👍

What a gorgeous place! Very warm and welcoming. Lovely hospitality and superb food. Landlady knows what the customers want and that makes such a difference. Definitely will be back there again.

Excellent food and drink. Beware farmers portions 😀. Amanda and Stuart made us really welcome and we stayed in their adjoining, very high spec, apartment for a week, which we thoroughly enjoyed. Luna the pug is now also a friend. Highly recommend 👍

Friendly local pub with a good food selection at fair prices. Tried to get in for pizza Friday but really popular so already fully booked when we arrived. We returned on Saturday and had steak and cheeseboard for two which had very generous chunks of blue, cheddar and Brie.

Visited the Globe for a quick drink while on holiday and was so impressed by the friendliness of the landlord, landlady and customers that we returned every day for both drinks and good food. The atmosphere was so welcoming.

Great pub. Stuart and his wife are both very friendly and very accommodating. Made our group feel very welcome. Food was amazing, personally I had a huge ploughman’s. Stayed on for Italian pizza’s and you could choose you own toppings. Worth a visit

We went to The Globe yesterday. Beautifully done up now and owners were really lovely and friendly. We all had meals which were absolutely delicious and the waitress was a lovely girl. Nice big outside area for when it's sunny and the whole place is dog friendly.

Very nice pub in a lovely village. Good food and drinks with great service. Management and staff give a first rate service which makes for a very enjoyable visit. Small, cosy bar and comfortable dining rooms. Outdoor beer garden for sunny days. Well worth a visit.

The Globe is back. A friendly welcome and a great atmosphere. My food review will have to wait but the signs are promising Good luck to the lovely new owners. Great to see life coming back to the heart of this fine community. And the freshly painted pub signs are a treat.

Great meal , best steak I have had in a while in pubs around the area. Reasonably priced, small menu but done very well. Good wine, lovely staff and nice decor. Keep it up!

I was invited by a friend to join him at this pub last night, the car park was almost full, that indicated it was a good place to eat, even though he had booked a table, it was not available when we got there, we were told there was a table available after a little wait, we noticed that no food had been served to the other four tables in the room, and people seemed to be getting a little concerned when there food would arrive, we asked for the menu, and was told, they had no menus, but a very sweet lady came to read what was on offer, very limited it was. but we went for garlic mushrooms to start off with, three quarters of an hour later they arrived, our main course was ham egg and chip, very easy to prepare, but the eggs was over cooked, the chip was so burnt neither of us could eat them, the ham was ok, but the whole meal was very badly presented. we were told the owner was not there, but gone to an opera with his girl friend, the staff was so helpful, but to expect people to pay for that kind of food just not on, we will never go there again and be insulted with that kind of food,

A brilliant new addition to the area! A lovingly restored, beautiful, charmingly cosy old pub. The landlord and staff are really friendly; and the new chef, a returning local lad, brings a fresh twist to a strong menu embracing the best of the local produce. This is a 'must visit' Gastro-pub for anyone visiting the area!

Lovely place for family friendly food

Called in just before closing and they were still happy to cook for us. Really tasty, good quality, home cooked food. It's great to find a pub that takes pride in it's food. Great food, great service, good beer and cider, what more could you ask for!

Newly re-opened (servers told us they've been re-opened for about three weeks now) and under new management. Brilliant area in the back for eating (and there's parking!) The sun was shining so we sat in the beer garden but the inside looked lovely as well. Food really great. I almost missed this place as the sign wasn't prominent ! Don't make a mistake and pass it by.

Amazing fresh local food. Crab was delicious and pies are always worth a try.

Really high quality food with a warm atmosphere. So hard to find pubs that are quirky and rustic but this one is. My dog is welcome outdoors as well as indoors in afternoons. There is a huge selection of dishes from burgers and sausages made by a local private butcher to things you have probably not tried. There is also a barman who makes some amazing cocktails if you're in to that!
