It was on time and lovely as normal I can’t say often enough how good the food is from Yak Na yeti

Had a very nice Ghurkali Chicken and garlic naan. Nicely spiced and piping hot. The service was excellent too. I’d recommend eating here

On calling this restaurant, I was surprised to find the difficulty in ordering. Not only was the menu difficult to find online, but so was navigating the ordering process with the individual on the phone. Visiting friends in the area, this is one of their local and most used Chinese restaurants, we were surprised at the level of quality as well as customer relation. The food quality itself was satisfactory, but as mentioned in the title-it’s severely lacks competition as it is one of the only ones in the area, and by virtue of that fact, do not appear to challenge themselves either in quality or customer service. The food ordered arrived just outside of the window period provided on the phone by the individual taking the order. This was to be expected as I did not have a great deal of faith in the order being taken correctly. The individual who delivered the order was incredibly friendly and probably provided the best experience from ordering at this restaurant. If you order from here, you will need patience and a lot of understanding.

I ordered food at 1pm today (Sunday), odd time to eat a curry I know. I can only assume that the chef doesn’t work this shift as it was the worst curry I’ve had in my life. It was so bland it didn’t even taste like curry. The bottom half was brown & the top half red, it was like they had mix n matched 2 tasteless curries. Been here many times before & it was always decent but today was absolutely shocking. Had about 5 mouthfuls & it went in the bin.

Fantastic meal at Yak & Yeti. We sat in the garden which was lovely. Wonderful and attentive staff. Authentic and delicious absolutely delicious food- what a treat. Can’t wait to go back ⭐️

Food is good however the food delivery wasn’t the delivery driver was very nice however food was spilling out of containers not good if one meal is for a vegetarian and the rest of the dishes has meat in it , the popadom was in pieces and the bag looked like it was opened . Therefore one of us ate the food other could not (due to spillage of chicken meal in other containers ) I threw away the popadom …. Won’t be getting a delivery again

We have planned to eat here now for a couple of years, but never quite managed to get the timings right when we visited Cornwall. We are so glad we persevered. Had lunch on a bank holiday. Although the place was very quiet, Dennis and the team made us very welcome. The food was really tasty. We shared a chicken Sekuwa started which was made from scratch, taking 10 mins to be served. For mains, I had the Chicken Harrisa and my partner had the Chicken Royal. We will definitely visit again as there are so many choices on the extensive menu. They also have a garden area at the back of the property.

The food here is okay, average, nothing that really merits a lot of excellent reviews. That's our opinion. Service was pretty prompt, there was only one other table occupied. My partner had a Chicken Royal which was better than my Chicken Harisa which was rather mushy. The female owner did rather push second drinks on us. I fell for this and realised after I got a second beer that I didn't really want it. The male owner who seemed to be doing all the takeaways which looked to be their main business popped his head around to our table. He is warmer and more upbeat than the two females. I think they are rather fed up with it all and who can blame them. It's a small restaurant which we found comfortable. Chairs are good and the tables are a good size. They have had the sense to get glass tops rather than having to launder table cloths all the time. I would not be rushing back to eat here, but it's alright for a quick curry. Price wise it is not too bad.

This was my first time in a Nepalese restaurant. The staff were very friendly and customer focussed. We had momos (dumplings which we thought were tastier than the Chinese ones we know) which came with a nice dipping sauce. For mains we had Nepalese butter chicken and a lamb dish that was a bit spicier. The butter chicken was red and sweeter than the Indian butter chicken we're used to. The roti we had was great.

Delicious and arrived piping hot!

Ate here on a Friday evening based on recommendation of the host of our holiday cottage. We went early and it was empty when we arrived. The staff were friendly and attentive. Looks like it is popular with the locals as the other tables were soon full and the staff and the customers were on first name speaking terms. There were a good number of choices of both Indian and Nepalese dishes. As I can have Indian food back at home but not Nepalese I decided to choose a Nepalese dish. Although the menu had a brief description of some of the less well known dishes I sought the advice of the person who served us. They answered my questions and advised it could be made less hot. My partner stuck with the Indian dishes he likes to always have. Our drinks were served quickly. The food was excellent, delicious and portion size was just right. Our dishes were very clearly freshly cooked and hot. Compared to other places I have ate in Yak and Yeti was great value for money. My partner also enjoyed his choices. We were only staying in Truro for the weekend. The food at this restaurant was worth traveling for and if we are in this part of Cornwall again I would definitely come here again. Strongly recommend a visit, Be adventurous and try a dish you have never had before.

5*, Freshest Indian/Napalese curry i've had in Cornwall. Full of flavour, fresh herbs and spices. Naan bread was next level! Owners & staff are lovely and welcoming and not in your face! Would 100% go back, and can't wait too! Thankyou 😊

Have ordered from here over a dozen times and normally it’s good! So, I hate to be critical but tonight’s was really below par. Curries were bland, all the food was lukewarm at best and the delivery was late. Think next time we may try elsewhere.

I hadn’t been here for a while as on previous visits it’s been drafty and echoey but food was always good. The weighting staff came to help select the right meal, I was really impressed with this level of service, you don’t see that much anymore. I asked if the spinach bhaji was a try or we’d dish (sometimes it’s a dry, deep fryer thing, others it’s sort of wet). I was told it was dry so ordered accordingly….. it was wet. Not a problem, it was delicious, I just would have ordered nann with it. I also had another water ask if I wanted another drink 1/2 way through my current one, I said no and one still appeared. I don’t think I was alone as the table opposite got something different from what they ordered. Still uncomfortably echoey atmosphere. I think the glass tables make it worse and some soft furnishings would help. I will also avoid if colder nights as it’s still drafty. Meal on this visit was particularly good and will be back because of this but staff and atmosphere could do with improvement.

As a Saturday night “walk in” we were immediately seated and attended to. The staff and owners are friendly and attentive. Good service. The menu is extensive and we chose a Nepalese and an Indian dish. They were very clearly freshly cooked. All of the ingredients and herbs/spices could be tasted even down to the spring onions! We were visiting from Bude. Freshly cooked food is always worth traveling for and we will definitely come here again.

Friendly and helpful service, food was hot and fresh, even the salad was fresh. Really enjoyed the meal, good flavour, just enough salt and not too salty.

Came here as a group of 10 to celebrate my birthday. I have been trying to get us all together to go to this fabulous place for ages and boy was it worth the wait. My 3 daughters and their boyfriends, plus my son and his girlfriend said it was right up there with anything they have ever eaten anywhere in the world. The owners are the nicest people I have ever met, nothing is too much trouble, the service is polite, friendly and very efficient. The food is just another class, I think I can safely say that this restaurant is my favourite anywhere and fully deserving of it's recent award. Thank you all for a fantastic night out. We order once a week this week the food was cold and some missing. Emailed them but they never responded hence why im leaving this review.

Oh this is a fantastic place to eat! Busy and obviously popular with the locals and you can see why. The food is excellent, both in taste and value for money. The momo were the best we’ve had, freshly made and steaming hot. The Royal Chicken main was a delight, very tasty and not an overwhelming portion.

I visited the restaurant recently and tbh I was very disappointed by their service and rude behavior.Would prefer Katmandu place.Tasty food good service and friendly staff

What a fantastic service from Sunny and his team. From start to finish a warm welcome and nothing was too much trouble for our table of 26 people! The food all came out on time, and was absolutely delicious. Lovely staff and all of my 26 colleagues commented that it was the best curry they’ve eaten. Don’t underestimate how large the space is too, plenty of room for a big group.

It was a lovely meal,but the garlic Nan bread was missing. We were looking forward to it.!

Food was very expensive and of mediocre taste and quality. Not of value for the premium price paid. Butter chicken was just a sweet cream curry and biryani wasn’t good was just curried rice with half cooked chicken pieces. Noodles and roti were just okay.

Visited while on holiday. Very tasty take-a-way. The sit in restaurant looked very nice. Would return this week but unfortunately it’s 554 miles away.

Delivery was nearly an hour late.

We are on a family-trip in Cornwall and decided to have our dinner delivered to our rented cottage. We chose the Restaurant‘ Yak and Yeti‘. The delivery was perfectly on time. The ordered meals (we had a selection of indian and nepalese food) were are delicious. Our sons that are quite picky eaters were delighted and finished their plates entirely. Thumbs up for the Yak and Yeti!

Service was excellent lovely friendly staff and a warm inviting feel. Ordered mixed starters, popadoms, samosas , curry rice and dessert all was really nicely presented and fresh. Will definitely be returning thank you for a lovely evening!

Arrived right on time and all dishes were piping hot! Hottest takeaway I’ve ever had delivered. So often rices are just warm but these were steaming hot, very fresh.Pleasant delivery driver too.

Lovely welcome and we were given the option of eating in the garden, which was a hidden gem. The service was excellent, very friendly and polite. The food was amazing, ate from the Nepalese menu rather than the Indian and loved it. The owners took the time to introduce themselves and again, they were both lovely. Highly recommend this cosy, friendly restaurant.

Very sad the King prawn and chicken were both quite chewy and the meal was not as hot as it should be, we had to eat it very fast to avoid it going cold. Our previous first order was delicious so this one was very disappointing.

Restaurant was recommended by one of our party as they had been before. All of us chose from Nepalese menu rather than Indian. Soooo tasty. Heartily recommend the Monkfish Masala but everyone enjoyed their choices. Lovely staff. Just a note that you can pay cash or card, but not card on your phone. So someone else had to pay for my dinner 😂

A Pink Curry arrived totally tasteless, Peshwari Naan arrived just a normal Naan give it a wide birth, not a busy night no excuses for poor tasting food.

Haven't been here for nearly 3 years, due to Covid and work hours. Decided to make the effort as my brother in law and his wife were down here visiting and how glad are we that we did. Firstly we were really happy to see it was the same owners, who recognised us, the lady actually said " you came last time with all your work friends, " there were 16 of us, all of them shook my hand at work the next day and thanked me for organising our night out. Essentially this place has two slightly separate menus, a traditional Indian menu and a Nepalese menu. We all chose from the Nepalese menu The Yak and Yeti special mixed starter is absolutely divine, gorgeous, subtle flavours, juicy, succulent chicken and lamb kebab pieces, crispy, light bhajees and a delicately fragranced salad. My Chilli, Garlic Lamb main dissolved on my tongue, my wife's Himalayan Butter Chicken was in her words, one of the finest meals she has ever eaten. I should add at this point that all 4 of us are passionate about our Asian foods, I grow all my own chillies and spices, my brother in law is a member of a " travelling group of fanatical Asian food fans. " They both said that it was right at the top of the best places they had ever eaten. I would wholeheartedly recommend this fabulous place to anyone. Can't wait till next time.
