What to say? One of the nicest burgers we have ever had, and I’ve had a few. The staff were welcoming and friendly, the setting a bit basic but the food quality was amazing. The prices were more than reasonable, especially given the food quality and portion sizes. Dog friendly too. Well, well worth a visit. We will certainly be back on our next trip
the tea was great but my cake has a largeish piece of plastic in it, the staff member I told just said ' mistakes happen' I left after it made me gag and finally vomit
Fantastic cafe in fact so good we visited twice in a week! Had a breakfast which was lovely, great quality ingredients and served fresh and hot. Went back for an omelette and fish finger butty both spot on. Had to have cream tea as well which I have to say the scones really are the best in the area. They were lush. Also took a slice of coffee cake away with us! ..well we are on holidays. Honestly this is a gem of a place. Dog friendly too which is always a bonus for us. Dont walk past it do go and see the ladies they do not disappoint.
The accommodation is excellent.Ben & Claudine we're great hosts.food in pub really nice.all areas are dog friendly and there's no extra charge for dogs.
The breakfast tray in the room was a very nice touché will be back

Sunday roast at the Barley Mow…heaven on a plate. It is always beautifully cooked, a choice of 3 meats, and just the best gravy and roast potatoes. Excellent value for money, and always a warm greeting from Mark and Lorraine.
During lockdown, they delivered to us, and are still delivering their delicious meals. However, it is lovely to go back to the pub, thank you all.
What a perfect spot for a leisurely evening of cheese and wine! There's nothing better than unwinding at the bar after a long day, relishing good company. Sam is phenomenal at pairing the wine and cheese, ensuring each selection enhances your experience deliciously.
It makes me sad that it has now closed.
Amazing must visit !
I have been to meet at eight a few times now and wanted to take the time to leave a review,
I love the decor very unique and classy the dim lighting creates a lovely atmosphere , I felt like I had left Yeovil for the evening.
As an slightly older client it’s lovely to have somewhere nice to go that you can chat to friends , would be a great venue for a date too
Staff were incredibly attentive but not too much, very friendly nothing was too much trouble very informative. We sampled a few cocktails all of them I couldn’t fault them well presented, I loved all the different glassware.
We had some really great food too , all the snacks complemented the fondue, I hadn’t had one before so wasn’t sure what to expect, I think it’s a very niche choice , I wasn’t disappointed, I will definitely go back a try another flavour
Definitely my new favourite venue for a night out , well done all
We had a great Sunday roast here and I’d thoroughly recommend it. Book if you can because they are, understandably, busy.
The rare roast beef was stunning, the Yorkshire pudding was delicious and the roast potatoes (which restaurants sometimes struggle to get right) were spot on. The side vegetable dishes were gorgeous too so this is also great food for vegetarians. The trifle pudding was sumptuous, as were the chocolate fondant and the white chocolate fudge, which I definitely didn’t need but ordered anyway.
Our waitress was charming and attentive and the atmosphere was one of happiness and joy, made even better given the tranquil backdrop of the beautiful Helston river. It made us really happy going here. Go, I’m sure it will make you happy too.

Tuvimos un encantador desayuno inglés aquí hoy, el lugar realmente está bien decorado y se siente muy acogedor, la comida es buena y de origen local y los propietarios eran encantadores, buena relación calidad-precio y un excelente comienzo del día.
I visited this tea room whilst waiting for my bus to Umberleigh. After travelling from Preston, Lancashire I was happy to be able to relax with a coffee.
The staff were really friendly and the place had a great vibe.
City life can be a bit hectic so it was refreshing to visit this little tea room and we were even tempted with cake which was delicious!
Just had the most delicious afternoon tea at the Wolfridge Alpaca Barn - Cafe. First time I had managed to go and the afternoon tea was fantastic, a lovely atmosphere and staff. Highly recommend and the added bonus of watching the Alpacas outside.
