Just had the most delicious afternoon tea at the Wolfridge Alpaca Barn - Cafe. First time I had managed to go and the afternoon tea was fantastic, a lovely atmosphere and staff. Highly recommend and the added bonus of watching the Alpacas outside.

Very nice place for a break on a journey up the M5 as it is easy to access from the motorway. Big picture windows overlook the alpaca herds in the fields outside. There is also outside seating, but it was starting to rain when we visited. Nice selection of food. I had a jacket potato and hubby a sandwich which were both very nice. Far better than a motorway services and not over-priced. You get to see alpacas too which is lovely when you are enjoying lunch. Friendly service, easy parking and nice toilet facilities too. Trust your Satnav to take you down the right lane as the signage off the main road isn’t very prominent.

Big thank to Craig and his hard working team. We had to cancelled our Afternoon tea treat for our 86 years old mum back in January, but Craig kept our booking for when we were ready. So, in May we finally had our birthday treat for mum. The whole experience was lovely, from very tasty sandwiches to yummy scones and more cakes. The staff were very polite and helpful, as a four generation family we all had a great time. Great care was taken with the three persons with allergies, fish, eggs and nuts, which was very reassuring. defiantly go again, Thank you Wolfridge Team. Also myself and Mum had a Bacon sandwich and Tea a few weeks agon , and that too was great.

The coffee is great, best I have had. Service can be slow, so be patient at busy times, worth the wait if your having the coffee.

We have been here before and felt that things weren't as good as they were last time. We had the chicken special which was okay, although the mayo appeared to be salad cream and a cheese panini which was small and distinctly average. Having said that, the cafe was very busy when we were there so maybe we were just unlucky. If we'd been asked whether the food was all right, we'd have said it was all right but as it wasn't terrible, we couldn't see the point of complaining. All in all, a bit meh.

What a lovely experience! We walked around and saw the alpacas first before an excellent coffee. There are plenty of outdoor tables to watch the alpacas whilst eat/drink.

What a lovely afternoon, we walked around the fields at first and saw all the beautiful alpaca, they had very well kept paddocks. We paid for the alpaca experience and Craig the farmer really made it special, he was so knowledgeable about his animals and we were able to feed and interact with them. We then had afternoon tea, the food was amazing, clearly homemade, and beautifully presented. I would recommend a visit to this wonderful hidden gem.

We went on a Friday afternoon, was relatively busy in the cafe, had the afternoon tea, which was fantastic, catered to our dietary requirements and staff were really friendly and attentive. We had a really nice time seeing the alpacas on the farm. The food was really nice and will definitely be returning!

Pre booked an afternoon out at Wolfridge Alpacas in Alveston, as a surprise for my partner. I booked afternoon tea for 2, followed by an up close experience with the Alpacas. Both these events need to be booked in advance. I have to say, the afternoon tea was probably the best I have ever tasted and I've tried many all over the world. Everything was fresh and homemade. The quiche was so flavoursome, the sandwiches were delightful, the warm scones with jam & cream were light as a feather and the selection of cakes were to die for. This was accompanied by a glass of elderflower spritz and either, a choice of coffees or teas. The Alpaca experience was so much fun. Craig collected us from the cafe, along with 5 other people. ( There is a maximum of 8 for this event) we were all taken to an enclosure close by and given a brief health and safety talk and informed of what to expect. Everyone was made to feel comfortable and we were introduced to some very friendly and inquisitive Alpacas. We were able to feed them and hold & stroke them. Craig was very informative and answered all questions thrown at him. We spent nearly an hour in with the Aplacas and enjoyed every minute of it. If you want to just walk around the fenced area and observe the Alpacas, you can do that free of charge. The cafe on site serves breakfasts, cream teas and various cakes and hot & cold drinks. No booking required for this. The staff are very friendly and the cafe is immaculately clean. This is a great place for kids and adults alike but there are some restrictions for very young children, which is made clear on their website.

Really unique lovely cafe, serving a good variety of food including vegan and gluten free options! Really good children's options too. Only a few minutes drive off the motorway and a much nicer setting for lunch then a service station! Unfortunately was raining on our visit but would definitely return again and explore the alpacas.

Fantastic little cafe! We came for breakfast and enjoyed a bacon bap, sausage bap and breakfast ciabatta. All 3 were fantastic value and delicious. The coffees were really tasty and special credit for having Oatly milk (the best oat milk in my opinion) and for the alpaca on the cappuccino! We sat outside in the sun watching the alpacas and it was a real moment of bliss. We’ll certainly be returning. My only request would be to open on Mondays too! I know everyone needs days off but consider it maybe with an assistant manager?!

What a lovely place! The Alpaca centre is entirely free to wander around, and you can buy a questionnaire (£1) for children to complete so that they can research alpaca facts from the boards dotted around the circuit. A more intensive alpaca experience can be purchased, should you wish, but this was enough for our 7 and 10 year old grand-daughters. The cafe is very good, too. Not a lot of parking, so it was a bit of a challenge on a busy Good Friday, but still doable. Highly recommended.

Well, what a find this is! We arrived late morning, just in time for the full English (me) and a Panini (my wife). Both were excellent. The service as good as it gets. I'm told the afternoon teas are amazing too. There's a lovely buzz about the place and don't miss a little wander alongside the fields to see the Alpacas. Best café I've been to in a long time.

The place is easy to get to with sat nav but I didn’t see any signs on the road pointing to the lane the farm is in. There is a reasonable sized car park and a large cafe/shop. The food was nice with a good lunch menu. Service was chatty and friendly and the food arrived quickly. There was a little shop with an alpaca theme to it and some fun gifts. The alpacas actually seemed utterly disinterested in any visitors and didn’t make any effort to approach the fence. It was bitterly cold so they were probably busy eating to keep warm! Somewhere to return to in the summer.

After discovering this "hidden gem" last year we were desperate to introduce it to our student daughter . What a let down! Whilst the the carrot cake was deemed good both the Guiness cake and Croissant cake failed to delight. In both cases it was like eating a slab of cold clay ! Stodgy, heavy slices of what simply could not be described as cake. The lesson learnt? Stick to more traditional offerings, as being adventurous completely backfired on this occasion!

This was amazing. We were a group of nine and the ladies working there readily accommodated us, including dietary requirements. The food was great, the service excellent. We will all be going again and would recommend it.
