Beautiful restaurant, really interesting views and atmosphere. Service is excellent. Food is OK. Nothing horrible, nothing WOW. A simple case, of too much cooking. Save some fuel and don't overcook fish. We had stranded battered Cod and Chips. Perfect quantity but dry. I also had Mediterranean Prawns, garlic butter, and bread roll. The roll was beautiful, the prawns over cooked, sent back. Offered scallops as a replacement. Sorry again over cooked.. Plus with the coral despite asking not to include the coral. That's just my taste.. The scallops are obviously not bought whole and put together with frozen meats and shells from wherever. Loved the restaurant and I would go back. It's cheap, total with vino £63. I write reviews all day long. It's worth it everyday, shame it's not for the food. Charge more, increase quality and save the fuel bills, cook it less. Stop reheating battered fish. I know you'll say something different, I do this for a living. Not with this name.

Took our french friends there for Fish and Chips. First time at Noah’s last night and as always had our fingers crossed when we go for the first time to a restaurant. No need however! It was delicious; the fish was very fresh and cooked perfectly, the batter was light and crisp with excellent chips and mushy peas. I have been eating fish and chips in the UK for 60 years and this is the first that I did not ask for ketchup to with it because it tasted so good! Truly the finest that I have ever eaten, everyone loved the food. The service from Martha and her team was excellent and I even got to meet little Noah (son of the owner-chef who had popped in with his mother and baby sibling to say goodnight to dad 😀) I then had a lovely pot of tea-which of course is the drink of choice to go with. Price point good and their lunchtime deal is very good value for those on a budget.

Famous for the award-winning fish and chips, but actually not limited to that. They really understand how to keep the original taste of seafood (that’s the correct way for cooking fresh things). In addition, every single mussel is carefully cleaned, which you can rarely experienced in other places. Highly recommend the mixed shellfish as starter. Lunch is reasonably affordable. But make sure to book in advance!

Delicious meal with my daughter. I chose here after reading a review in a newspaper. I had the tuna toast then the monkfish, she had fish and chips (with curry sauce) then sticky toffee pudding. The food was excellent. The decor / vibe beautiful and service friendly. Fantastic spot with view of the river and lovely harbour side walk or ferry ride to and from the city centre. We walked out on one side then planned to walk on the other bank back but the 4pm ferry from the Cottage Inn arrived so we hopped on. Just perfect after such a wonderful lunch.

Celebrate my hubby birthday _ It’s 3️⃣best Fish & Chip Restaurant in UK in 2024! And one of @goodfoodguideuk’s Top 100 Local Restaurants🏆 Must try their Fish and Chips (no doubt), you could really taste the quality of fish. But you have to order the #scallops as they just cook perfectly and the herb butter is so good. If you love fish ,you have to try the Ray Wing (鰩魚翅). The potato salad is good too, the capers just elevate the flavor. What we order👍🏻 - Portland Princess (Dorset) rock oyster aged red wine vinegar, shallots & lemon - Grilled hand dived Orkney Isle scallops, garlic & fresh herb butter. - South coast thornback Ray Wing (Newlyn), romesco, garlic & parsley olive oil, - Noah’s potato salad, shallots, capers, parsley & moscatel dressing. - Strawberry Posset This family run seafood restaurant is really offer great value with high quality food and services. They offer kids free meal in this summer holiday and a unbeatable lunch menu for £12.95 with selected main +course a mug of tea

Come here because of its reputation, one of the top three fish and chips in the UK, a great seafood restaurant. The fish & chips are lightly coated in flour, the fish is fried to a crispy texture, and the thick fries are drizzled with vinegar and have a nice sour taste. The oyster appetizer was fresh and the red onion sauce was just right. The teppanyaki grilled saury is great, topped with garlic + parsley oil, fresh, no fishy smell, very delicious. The restaurant environment is very good. There are many families coming to eat fish and chips, and many elderly people coming to eat. It is a very authentic restaurant. It’s especially popular, and you have to queue up for a while at noon.

Came to Noah's two weeks ago and told the manager the place was a ten out of ten from start to finish great service and fantastic food unfortunately on my 2nd visit today which I was really looking forward to with my wife was a big let down stood in doorway for quite a while before being greeted and once we had sat down outside it felt like quite a while before given menus and asked if we wanted a drink which we ordered two moretti.we sat again for quite a while waiting for order to be taken which the waitress kindly took only to he told 2 minutes later that the crevettes starter was not available so we decided to order 4 lots of the crap cakes only yet again two minutes later same situation has sold out this was very disappointing and frustrating as the first visit the starters were amazing.we orederd the cod and chips and the sardines with potatoes salad.we had main course and left still feeling hungry as we didn't manage to get the starters we desired and was worried if we ordered desert we wouldn't get the one we wanted after the starter situation I'm hoping next time we go it will be a different experience like the first time .

In my mind, it’s a bit overrated. It wasn’t too busy when we arrived, but we had to wait for 3 min to be seated and then we waited for a menu for 5 more minutes. Scallops and fish and chips were good, but the cod croquettes were way too salty. The waitresses were regularly asking if we’d finished even though we had food on the plates. And only after we left the place I realised that they hadn’t served us tea advertised as a part of lunch we’d paid for. Overall, I wish I’d chosen another place for my birthday lunch.

I heard great things about Noah's so me and my family went for an early dinner on Tuesday 9th April. We had mussels/sardines on toast/scampi starters which were all delicious and well portioned (although I think the mussels could have come with a slice of bread to soak up the delicious garlic butter sauce it came with!) We all had the fish and chips as our main which came with a glass of wine...and I got to say this really did love up to the hype! We all agreed the chips were "proper decent chips", batter was light, crispy and perfection and the tartare sauce was simply glorious! (We did have a little laugh about the parsley decoration being perhaps a little too excessive but that's the only critique we could find!). As tempted as we were for dessert we were just the right amount of full so we decided to skip it this time but we will definitely be trying it next time we visit! The atmosphere was very pleasant and the staff were lovely and friendly. Highly recommend! P.s. I'm definitely going to try the seafood platter next time, I saw another table order it and I was so envious! P.p.s Had dinner again 18/07/24 Still delicious! Had enough room for a Lemon Posset dessert this time and I would definitely recommend!

For years I've been passing The Scallop Shell in Bath, hoping to go one day. Fast forward a few years and members of the same family rhat own that open up Noahs. From the outside quite unassuming but on reflection it's obvious they specialise in fish and seafood, as the outside is shaped like a boat. Wife and I enjoyed Salt Cod Croquettes, Scallops, Cod & Chips and 1/2 Lobster all of which were served well with a delicious sauce accompanying each one, and dessert was also super tasty. Highly recommend if you like your seafood, and value quality over other aspects. It's not cheap, so you should know this in advance before seeing your bill, but one of the most superb meals I've had. Staff were also excellent, friendly and the right level of attentive.

It was our time at this establishment and right off the bat we were greeted by a friendly waitress who seated us and gave us a run down on the menu, she definitely knew her stuff without any hesitation and a smile. We ended up ordering the King prawns, oysters and cod croquettes to start with. Prawns were succulent with a dressing that complemented it well. Oysters were accompanied by a red wine vinegar which was slightly tangy but a well rounded taste. Salt cod croquette crispy exterior with a tender cod centre had me wishing we ordered more. For mains we both ordered the Prime north Atlantic cod loin which came with some extra creamy mushy peas and some proper chips which weren’t soggy which is always a plus when getting fish and chips. The tartare sauce was delicate and went nicely with the cod and the chips. Wonderful food, calming atmosphere, very accommodating front of house! Looking forward to visiting again and trying some of the grilled fish. The best fish and chips in Bristol by far and I can see why they are rated 3rd best in the country!

Had been waiting for the perfect time to visit 'Noah's' for a while, but glad we got a chance the other day. Yes, location is pretty drab under an overpass in the Cumberland basin road system at the western end of Bristol city docks but once inside and settled with a glass of something it all falls into place. We started with the scallops, absolutely sublime, so delicious and delicate in taste. My grilled monkfish tail was bountiful and perfectly cooked, washed down with a glass or two of the house red, (highly unconventional I know!) My only criticism being the dishwasher residue on the utensils on the table, (something that is very common these days unfortunately)!

I'm not quite sure how to rate this restaurant. I was there last night, just me a party of 1. I was seated right away. But then I think they forgot about me. No one brought me a menu or water for about 10 min. I just sat there. Then it took another long while before the water arrived. I ordered a drink and that took 30 min to arrive. I ordered the scallops because the server had said how big and plump they are. When they did arrive they were actually the tiniest scallops I've ever seen. That is not a lie. literally the smallest scallops. The menu said `orkney scallops. No way were they orkney scallops, I live in Scotland and buy scallops all the time from my fish monger. They were so small the size of a pound coin. One was half that size. I should have taken a photo. They were cooked beautifully and tasted good but still the size, for a restaurant should be much bigger. I really couldn't believe how tiny they were and for the price I expected large beautiful scallops. Then my main course arrived it was beautiful and cooked to perfection but again took a long time to arrive. All told I was there almost 3 hours. While I was there I watched people arrive and leave get their bill and go. Meanwhile I was just sitting there waiting for my food or drink to arrive. When it was time to pay, i noticed 3 other tables also wanted to pay but they had all asked for the bill after me. However they all got their bills before me. While I was waiting other tables were getting served so again, I was still waiting to pay my bill. They literally just let me sit there. So while I would say the food is definitely good, you may be over paying for some items. I absolutely do not recommend the scallops, you'll be very disappointed. The service, while very friendly is just too slow for a restaurant. I won't go back. I felt that maybe being just 1 person I was easy to forget about. When I did pay, the machine they use immediately turns to a tip screen, a really big tip screen. I used to work in food service and I like tipping. But I swear I did not feel like tipping. I did though. Because I was too embarrassed not to. Anyhoo, I don't recommend this place and sadly, I won't go back.

Starter: Oyster- fresh, not special and a bit expensive. Grilled Scallop - delicious, fresh and good quality, well balanced seasoning. The best dish for us on the night. Main: Ray wing- fresh and good quality, taste blended. Cod fish and chips- good quality and fresh fish meat. Tartare sauce tastes good but mushy pea is with salty taste, lack of peas sweetness itself . Unfortunately the whole dish (battered fish and chip) is not crispy as I expected, the batter and chips are soggy. Bit disappointed. Dessert: chocolate mousse - tastes delicious, with silky texture, not so sweet. Well balanced of sweet and chocolate bitters. Affogato- I like the ice-cream ( very tiny size) full of fresh milky taste. But the espresso tastes with high level of sour that’s not my favourite. Wine list-I tried 1 white wine and ordered a bottle of Prosecco, tastes flat, with little complexity and depth. I prefer to order beer next time. Server for my table is nice but not professional and not attentive. We finally be asked ‘ how’s the food?’ From another mature server when we paid. Overall, food ingredients are in high quality and fresh. But Limited selection on the “side” and “dessert “. Lack of green vegetables and salad. As award winner of fish and chips, my experience let me down. I will return for the scallops and other fish dishes next time. P.S: service charge 10% will be applied to a table of eight or more people marked on the menu. Actually when you paid, the machine will show different % of tips(starts from 10% ) let you choose to pay. The situation is odd as a guy standing beside you and waiting for your payment. If so, personally I prefer its clearly marked 10% mandatory service charge for all customers. Normally I will then pay more in cash to tips the server with good performance.

The most amazing fresh seafood!! The staff were lovely and friendly and couldn't do enough to make you feel welcome. The food was out fast and hot, very well cooked.

We love Noah’s as a family favourite. You can either treat it as an up market sit down fish and chip supper place (which is what we MOSTLY tend to do) or go for something off the grill - I had delicious sole the other day which was top notch. It’s not quite a replacement for the much missed Fishers, but it’s probably better for the family crowd. They do delicious bread with anchovy and rosemary butter and the salt cod croquettes are must try. The location is of course great - fantastic view of the floating harbour and Clifton and easy parking ( just as well as it’s not on a bus route for us). I love the decor, which is smart but welcoming and it’s usually busy - having said that the acoustics are hard if you’re noise sensitive nor have hearing aids as I’ve learned to my cost with elderly relatives and small sensitive children- so for the latter strongly suggest ear plugs and for the former, turning their hearing aids off seems to work!!! 😃 I’ve marked it down on service which tends to be excellent as the last time we were in the boss man wasn’t and it showed- slow, under confident service that wasn’t really “on it”, forgotten items and the like which means I’ve scored it down this time. But generally it’s pitch perfect.

Reserved a table. They gave our table to someone else. We waited 30 mins for another spot. No one showed up. We left. Poor experience.

Having birthday celebration with hubby, they are so helpful to write “happy birthday” on the dessert plate with a candle. The main point is the food, no matter its starters or main menu, both are really delicious. Must come again.

One of our favourite places to go for a Sunday Roast! Incredible food and always leave with a mega full stomach! Never disappoints! Have added photos from two of our visits.

Would definitely recommend to anyone. We had a wonderful time here for an anniversary dinner. The food was really good and we enjoyed that we were given time with each dish to finish it before moving on. As they're sharing plates, it was nice to not have several dishes at once. They had run out of the wine we wanted but we're suggested another bottle which was good. Service was great once it was underway, there were 2 large tables finishing as we arrived which took some time to complete.

Absolutely fantastic spot in East Bristol. I opted for the medium breakfast which was great. Good value, very fast and polite service. No complaints.
