I had a fantastic time at Noah's! The service was incredibly friendly and attentive, which made us feel right at home. The food was spot-on – everything was cooked perfectly and super fresh, no complaints at all. Plus, the prices were really reasonable for the quality. Definitely planning to come back soon! Highly recommend!

We give 5 stars, but I'll start by saying that it wasn't what we went for, but there we found out that the daily offer depends on the fresh goods available at the fish market in the morning, the offer of the day can be found on my Instagram. The food is fresh due to the aforementioned procurement, and the service was impeccable.

An Exceptional Lunch Experience Last Monday, my wife and I visited this restaurant for lunch, and we were immediately captivated by the stunning views. The ambiance was pleasant and inviting, even though the restaurant was quite busy. Fortunately, we had made a reservation, ensuring a smooth dining experience. I ordered the fish and chips, which were absolutely delightful—the batter was crispy, the fish was tender and fresh, and the fries were golden and perfectly cooked. My wife chose the breaded fish cake with chips, which had a wonderfully crunchy exterior and a soft, flavorful inside with a hint of herbs. The service was excellent, with polite and attentive staff who made us feel welcome. Overall, the combination of great food, beautiful surroundings, and outstanding service made this a perfect dining experience. I would definitely give it a full rating!

Very nice staff.. good service . I ended up going twice in 2 days so yummy . And they change up the £12.95 lunch menu . Comes with a cuppa too.. can’t beat it in my opinion . But I would book lunchtimes it’s understandably very busy.

We arrive early so we’re worried as it looked busy we may have had to wait but this was not the case and we were greeted by a lovely waitress who said it wasn’t a problem and we were sat straight away the wine selection is amazing and we treated ourselves to a glass of rose and it was delicious we then had our starters I had the cod croquettes and my friend had the muscles and they were incredible we wanted to lick the plates. I then had the sole and my friend had the ray the waitress very helpfully explained how to eat the ray as we weren’t sure and we had chips with it and straight away we decided it was the best food we had had in Bristol so far we then had deserts I had ice cream and my friend had the stick toffe and it was incredible and the locally sorced coffe was one of the best I’ve ever had. Overall it’s a must go for Bristol and it’s some of the best fish I’ve ever had.

Good food but spoiled by the needless addition of excess salt - especially irritating for my wife as she had to scrape it off her bare fish. Chef - please stop doing it.

We ate at Noah’s last night and it was fabulous, the fish, the mussels in a butter and herb sauce was delicious. Without a doubt we will be back, the best fish and chips I’ve ever had. Great service and friendly staff.

This is a lovely hidden treasure in Bristol. The food was good and the service was brilliant. They even produced a last minute birthday dessert for us. We will be visiting again.

Absolutely good food. Very nice kids cod bites portion. Amazing scallops. If you are ever there try them as starters.Of course fish and chips lived up to it's name. Star of the main show for me was the divine curry sauce. Will be back. Staff and service was on the spot. Try and book as we saw a lot of walk-ins turned away(could be friendlier while doing this)

Lovely place, delicious food! Used to be a Hotwells local so it's nice to see a good restaurant like this, ate so much fish. The mixed platter was lovely, so much great choice and I think can't go wrong with anything on the menu. So tasty we kept going for dessert and coffee, all a real treat. The restaurant is cosy and nice, great value, efficient and pleasant staff. Nicest meal out for ages

Super delicious Cider! The meals are all fresh and sweet: the cod fried fish has a very solid texture, and the plaice melts in your mouth! I would love to visit again

Came today for lunch. Short review: amazing, 10/10. Long review: Noah's sits in a strange place under a bridge, it used to be a truck drivers' pub I think. The outside of the restaurant looks great, like an arc (duh!) with round windows. Inside is very well decorated too, wooden panels, dimmed lights. Christmas tree in the middle! Cozy seats, not too many tables so it doesn't feel too cramped. It gets super busy when they serve lunch menu - book a table!!! We went for a classic lunch option - fish and chips for £12.95. De-li-cious! Very thin airy batter, flaky fish, good mushy peas and a lovely tartar sauce in a shell. Chips aren't greasy and it all comes with a mug of tea. Staff is polite and the service is quick for a lunchtime. Will surely come again 😝

Delish...we went a little bid and and ordered way too much as the menu sounded so fantastic. My better half had the fish n chips and said quote 'the batter is like crispy air'..sums up how wonderful it was..plus who would have thought of pairing crab with a crumpet.. genius

Really nice little restaurant, great use of space under the flyover. The service was great, the food was tasty and the set lunch is very affordable. 4 hours free parking in the car park opposite on Sundays.

Superb seafood restaurant in relaxed harbour side setting. Really good value - £50 a head for three courses and a bottle of wine and coffee. Cooking fantastic, and friendly service. Tuna belly confit, grilled sole, excellent chocolate mousse. Lock keepers lunch of fish and chips at £13 a steal.

We were a large booking - 18 of us and this was no problem for the restaurant. Staff were fab and food was served quickly to all and tasted amazing! There was also no need to have a set menu or anything given size of the group which was welcomed! Would definitely recommend!

We were able to reserve a table at short notice. The food was great and for the children there was a coloring book and excellent children's fish and chips. We would have liked to come back again, but we couldn't get a table.

Beautiful restaurant, really interesting views and atmosphere. Service is excellent. Food is OK. Nothing horrible, nothing WOW. A simple case, of too much cooking. Save some fuel and don't overcook fish. We had stranded battered Cod and Chips. Perfect quantity but dry. I also had Mediterranean Prawns, garlic butter, and bread roll. The roll was beautiful, the prawns over cooked, sent back. Offered scallops as a replacement. Sorry again over cooked.. Plus with the coral despite asking not to include the coral. That's just my taste.. The scallops are obviously not bought whole and put together with frozen meats and shells from wherever. Loved the restaurant and I would go back. It's cheap, total with vino £63. I write reviews all day long. It's worth it everyday, shame it's not for the food. Charge more, increase quality and save the fuel bills, cook it less. Stop reheating battered fish. I know you'll say something different, I do this for a living. Not with this name.

Took our french friends there for Fish and Chips. First time at Noah’s last night and as always had our fingers crossed when we go for the first time to a restaurant. No need however! It was delicious; the fish was very fresh and cooked perfectly, the batter was light and crisp with excellent chips and mushy peas. I have been eating fish and chips in the UK for 60 years and this is the first that I did not ask for ketchup to with it because it tasted so good! Truly the finest that I have ever eaten, everyone loved the food. The service from Martha and her team was excellent and I even got to meet little Noah (son of the owner-chef who had popped in with his mother and baby sibling to say goodnight to dad 😀) I then had a lovely pot of tea-which of course is the drink of choice to go with. Price point good and their lunchtime deal is very good value for those on a budget.

Famous for the award-winning fish and chips, but actually not limited to that. They really understand how to keep the original taste of seafood (that’s the correct way for cooking fresh things). In addition, every single mussel is carefully cleaned, which you can rarely experienced in other places. Highly recommend the mixed shellfish as starter. Lunch is reasonably affordable. But make sure to book in advance!

Honestly, such a worth while place to go! My partner and I went for dinner on my birthday and I had the best experience. Not only was the food divine, but the service was next level! A massive shout out to Emma, our server, who was extremely friendly, knowledgeable and welcoming! I will be recommending this place to everyone I know!

Visited here for the 1st time after flying from/to Bristol and were lucky to get a last-minute reservation. Everything about Noah's were excellent, from the waiting staff to the food and atmosphere. Service were efficient and very friendly. Not the cheapest place to eat but well worth it. If you love your seafood, I would highly recommend Noah's.

Three of us turned up on Sunday at 12:15 having not booked, the manager greeted us said they were fully booked but then scanned the bookings and said she could squeeze us in-between two reservations if we could be out by 1;30. We were delighted, accepted her offer and were shown to a table, we had the lunchtime special which was served promptly and was delicious. I cannot recommend the service & food highly enough we will certainly be back....

Delicious meal with my daughter. I chose here after reading a review in a newspaper. I had the tuna toast then the monkfish, she had fish and chips (with curry sauce) then sticky toffee pudding. The food was excellent. The decor / vibe beautiful and service friendly. Fantastic spot with view of the river and lovely harbour side walk or ferry ride to and from the city centre. We walked out on one side then planned to walk on the other bank back but the 4pm ferry from the Cottage Inn arrived so we hopped on. Just perfect after such a wonderful lunch.

Very nice lunch yesterday. Good service, great food on a busy lunch service. Loved the mussels, cod loin and gorgeous Sticky toffee pudding! Certainly suggest booking in advance. Definitely go! So good. Reason why it's top 3 in the UK.

Spotted a review in the paper and booked a visit to Bristol to try. Well worth the effort. Easy online booking which was needed even on a wet Tuesday night. A good choice of fish on the menu but we both went for the mixed fish. Perfectly cooked and served with hand cut chips. A couple of starters and bottle of decent wine the bill was just over £80. Great value for such good quality.

We had an excellent meal this evening. Everything was beautifully cooked and presented and the staff were extremely helpful in adapting our dishes to be dairy free. We highly recommend them and look forward to returning.

Booked for Thursday lunch. Super busy! But great service and food. The £12.95 lunch deal offered perfect mussels and fries and the biggest most succulent cod and chips. Excellent value.service impeccable. Only low score as if you have misophonia the echo of people talking is a lot. But overall would encourage people to go there!

The lunch special Fish and chips with mushy peas and tartare sauce were delicious fresh and extremely tasty. My only disappointment was no draft lager so £4 for a 330ml Moretti is a bit steep.

Following Grace Dents review, we decided to try this out. It didn’t disappoint. The food was excellent a starter of confit tuna belly on sourdough toast with scallops, mains of Silvermullet and a lock keeper’s lunch of crunchy battered cod fillet, chips, homemade tartare sauce served in a scallop shell, mushy peas. Washed down with white wine and free damm alcohol free beer.

Best fish and chips in Bristol. Slightly on the more expensive side but highly worth the cost. Got the Thursday dinner deal which makes it very affordable! Also had an amazing vegetarian options available on request. Will visit again

Visited on Sunday for 1st time and was very impressed with the whole experience. Location quite unique, fab decor and great atmosphere and staff were very friendly and genuinely nice. Food was fabulous, great choice of excellent quality fish at reasonable price. Will definitely return.

Best fish and chips I have had in Bristol by a long margin. Fish always tastes really fresh and the chips are excellent. It is expensive on the standard evening menu (though the cheaper lunch deal is very good value) but you feel it is worth it.

Visited Noah's with my partner for a low-key birthday celebration. We opted for a late evening booking. The food and service were excellent. There was a great selection of fish dishes available. The food was really tasty and nicely presented. I would highly recommend a visit to the place if like fish.

Beautiful food, great service, amazing seafood platter for starter, my sole was cooked to perfection, downside was waiting time for our main but the waitress was so kind that we got our drinks for free so all forgiven, but would also like to see more choice of beer/cider/spirits/cocktails as wine list is already extensive. Come here because of its reputation, one of the top three fish and chips in the UK, a great seafood restaurant. The fish & chips are lightly coated in flour, the fish is fried to a crispy texture, and the thick fries are drizzled with vinegar and have a nice sour taste. The oyster appetizer was fresh and the red onion sauce was just right. The teppanyaki grilled saury is great, topped with garlic + parsley oil, fresh, no fishy smell, very delicious. The restaurant environment is very good. There are many families coming to eat fish and chips, and many elderly people coming to eat. It is a very authentic restaurant. It’s especially popular, and you have to queue up for a while at noon.

Came to Noah's two weeks ago and told the manager the place was a ten out of ten from start to finish great service and fantastic food unfortunately on my 2nd visit today which I was really looking forward to with my wife was a big let down stood in doorway for quite a while before being greeted and once we had sat down outside it felt like quite a while before given menus and asked if we wanted a drink which we ordered two moretti.we sat again for quite a while waiting for order to be taken which the waitress kindly took only to he told 2 minutes later that the crevettes starter was not available so we decided to order 4 lots of the crap cakes only yet again two minutes later same situation has sold out this was very disappointing and frustrating as the first visit the starters were amazing.we orederd the cod and chips and the sardines with potatoes salad.we had main course and left still feeling hungry as we didn't manage to get the starters we desired and was worried if we ordered desert we wouldn't get the one we wanted after the starter situation I'm hoping next time we go it will be a different experience like the first time .

Great value and excellent quality

In my mind, it’s a bit overrated. It wasn’t too busy when we arrived, but we had to wait for 3 min to be seated and then we waited for a menu for 5 more minutes. Scallops and fish and chips were good, but the cod croquettes were way too salty. The waitresses were regularly asking if we’d finished even though we had food on the plates. And only after we left the place I realised that they hadn’t served us tea advertised as a part of lunch we’d paid for. Overall, I wish I’d chosen another place for my birthday lunch.

OK, but overpriced for what is fairly average fish and chips. The fish and chips are overrated by others for sure. I enjoyed the meal, but the batter on the fish, and the chips themselves both needed to be crispier. Atmosphere and service both fine. Maybe the other main dishes are better.
