Never been so satisfied with takeaways!!! Amazing service and top standard food! Have been ordering now for couple of months and always satisfied at the end. The staff are amazing, they are ready to have a joke with you and be professional in the same time! Highly recommend if you are hungry and want to stay happy in the same time!!!

The only chip shop in Bristol that has onion vinegar and their chips are awesome too! I can see why it's so popular. Thumbs up!

Found this wee gem on the day before we left Bristol. Delicious chips and cod. We would have again and highly recommend. Staff were lovely. We were a little ambitious and asked for the large cod and it was too much…. Takeaway only

Such a traditional friendly service, Armin & the staff were welcoming & the fish was tender & batter crispy, and the chips were beautifully cooked, seriously, if youre looking for a place to eat or takeaway, look no further, highly recommended.

What a chippy should be. A good variety of different items on the menu and the fish is cooked fresh and is fabulous. Lovely chips and all at a reasonable price. Parking is not too difficult so no excuse not to go treat yourself

I've been here twice. Both times I was served beautiful fresh fish, perfectly cooked, and a generous portion of chips. Their homemade tartare sauce is lovely too. Very highly recommended.

Popped in spontaneously for the first time and we are so glad we did! They were so welcoming and so, SO generous with the serving (we only ordered a small cod with their homemade tartar sauce, but walked out with a handful of goods as seen in photo). Wished we lived closer, but we will definitely come back whenever we’re craving a good fish & chips… thanks so much!

Me and my bf got fish, chips, & burgers here the other day and wow, this might be the best fish and chips I've ever had! So delicious, cooked to perfection, the staff were so lovely in there too and glad I listened to the chefs recommendation of having some spice in the burger - it was so tasty! Great chip shop! They were friendly and welcoming. I brought a small fish and chips which was fresh and tasty and more than enough for me. The shop has a cosy seating area and the wait for my order wasn't very long at all.

We always receive a warm welcome on arrival. It’s been great to find a fish and chip shop that serves such a variety of food which is hot and full of flavour! The fish is always flakey and has crispy batter. Really recommend the homemade sauces, particularly the garlic mayo, tartare sauce and curry sauce. Often recommend them to friends and family around Bristol.

Outstanding! Favourite place in all of Bristol, I've tried quite a few in Bristol over the past 7 years and Hamblins has taken the top slot. They make their own sauces, every one is delicious. Tried Hamblins for the first time last night after seeing great reviews about them online and they certainly lived up to them. All of the food was excellent with the perfect amount of crispy batter on the fish. Very tasty chips which were lovely and fresh and great portion sizes. Service was brilliant and the person serving us was extremely friendly and helpful. Couldn’t fault them and some of the best fish and chips we have had. Will definitely be coming back!

This family run fish & chip shop, is my favourite in Bristol. I'm a regular visitor when I treat myself to fish, chips & curry sauce for lunch. I always buy extra for my work colleagues & they always remark on how good the chips are. They obviously use good quality potatoes & change the oil regularly. I love the fish too, its always fresh, beautifully white with a light crispy batter. The curry sauce is nice & thick, with the perfect amount of spice. Everything is always freshly cooked, to perfection. The guy who serves me, is super friendly. He makes me feel like a valued customer. He always welcomes me with a smile & occasionally when I place a big order, he throws things in for free. I highly recommend Hamblins to anyone who appreciates good quality food. It's not cheap, but it's worth every penny

Just stunning 😍 Now my favourite chip shop in Bristol. Can't believe I haven't tried them before. Good sized portions and LUSH flavours. Fish was really tasty and incredible batter. Chips as they should be, crispy with soft fluffy centre. Service was friendly and welcoming. Honestly truly the best in Bristol.

My family and I have been going to Hamblins for years now and we are always greeted by staff that welcoming, charismatic and friendly. They have large menu with a great range of options for different dietary requirements. I appreciate the value for money through the service, the quality of food and overall experience. They do all of the simple things to an excellent standard and also offer that little bit extra. This is why Hamblins is always my first choice English Takeaway!

A fantastic local fish and chip shop with great portion sizes. Batter and sausages is always light and crispy! Cod is always nice, chunky and flakey! There are also lots of additional extras on the menu - would absolutely recommend the new jalapeño poppers! Arrived on a busy Friday night, but the friendly staff were super efficient and got the orders out without quickly. We feel so lucky this is our local!

Excellent food, always efficient even when there is a big queue. Really friendly and welcoming when taking your order, cant recommend highly enough. Veggie burger is an excellent option for the vegetarians in the house too, full and tasty.

I went in on a busy night but the gentleman serving was very quick and attentive. The food is very good. It's an old style chippy and offers fresh cod and haddock. Batter is crisp and the chips are very nice. I'll definitely return.
