The best restaurants in South West

We had the most amazing dinner after a long hike in the area and were thoroughly impressed by the speed of food delivery and the taste of it. We met the owner and talked about the amazing transformation of an old post office into what you see before you. It feels like you could be anywhere in the world with cruisy music playing and fireplaces. Such an amazing experience!

Carpet dirty table needed wiping, asked for a stout offered a 4% one or 0%....... nothing in fridges😕

We used the function room at The George for a 60th birthday meal and we couldn't have asked for a more perfect evening. Helen and the other staff were so friendly and welcoming towards us and nothing was too much trouble. The function room itself was a great space. The food was delicious, our party included several vegans and vegetarians and there was a good selection of choices on the menu for everyone. We would absolutely recommend The George to anyone looking for great food in a friendly environment.

The food was very nice but I thought he was a bit of a cheek to charge me 40p for milk to go with my Americano I only live just at the road and would have to think twice about going there again

This venue has long been on my list of dream locations to work at, and it’s easy to see why. This was our third New Year's Eve event and it certainly didn't disappoint! Hopefully we will be there New Year 24/25

We popped in and we're lucky enough to get a table for two on a post Christmas Sunday, and fee lucky, because the roast beef dinner was fabulous, with plenty of perfectly cooked veg... All for a very reasonable £17. Recommended!!

So nice. Really enjoyed it here. Went for the cheapest of the three choices and had a fabulous time.

What a country we live in! The powers that be can force a thriving harmless business like this to close due to red tape!! A lovely place for pizza & much more especially al fresco on a nice day! Keep fighting & we hope to see you all return soon!

Lovely bar for drinks. Fab decor, great interior! We didn’t eat here, but had a great afternoon drinking on the sea view terrace in the October sunshine! Lovely place ! ( Oct 24)
