The best restaurants in South West

My soulmate took me here for a special meal one lunchtime. This place is incredible! The food is perfect, the dining room quiet and the view from the restaurant is amazing. The staff are polite and friendly and everything is just right for a special meal out. We started off with the seared peppered tuna with oriental salad, sesame and poppy seeds. This was an incredible eating experience in itself. I loved the explosion of taste as you ate the tuna. I then ordered monkfish wrapped in prosciutto ham, oyster mushrooms, crushed new potatoes, orange and balsamic sauce. I have tried monkfish in the past but never liked it much. This dish has changed my mind about monkfish. The flavour and texture were perfect in every way. My soulmate opted for the Exmoor beef fillet and cheek, beetroot purée, field mushroom, lardons, port jus which was exquisite. This truly was a unique eating experience and this is a place we will definitely return to!

We were holidaying in Devon in a large party group of 35 bikers. In advance of the weekend away we contacted the cafe to see if they could accommodate our large group. Due to the size of our party we placed a pre order. On arrival we were met with the upmost professionalism and organisation. The staff came to our table and double checked our order, asked what drinks we wanted and allocated a table number. Everything was served promptly to all tables and the café had a great atmosphere and plenty of garden space to enjoy the lovely sunshine. Food was lovely – I particularly enjoyed the corned beef hash, very tasty! Well done to all the staff at the location and thank you for accommodating our large group.

This is our second visit to The Masons Arms and, like our first visit, we left very happy customers. The setting and location of the venue is great, the service is excellent and the food remains Michelin Star quality. We will return!

Simply the best hotel we have found in the UK. Set in 500 acres of grounds having a beautiful spa with two restaurants, one with a michelin star. Comfortable rooms and great service from parking your car to looking after your every need.

Such a lovely pub, really beautiful inside with a nice atmosphere. Very friendly staff also and the Sunday roast was delicious (good Vegan and vegetarian options).

Maggie is so friendly and I don't go other bubble tea shop when I'm in Bournemouth. Best service!

Food came out promptly and was delicious! Had a roast and the chicken was juicy, yorkshires were perfect and portion sizes were good - didn't really need the extras we'd ordered!

Visited The Grange for a delicious meal. Absolutely amazing service and wonderful food. Beautiful location and the people who work here go out of their way to look after guests. The cream teas are also AMAZING! Best hotel and restaurant in the county!

Delicious food, fantastic service for my 50th birthday. The Chef seafood special was awesome, but so was the duck, the phad thai and everything else we had. Would definitely recommend and come again. Prices reasonable as quality of food was amazing.

Been coming here whilst on holiday for many years. The food is exceptional. Steve and his staff always make you feel so welcome. Already booked for July.
