A visit to Lucknam Park Hotel & Spa is an experience in itself. The setting is stunning – surrounded by nature, it offers a true sense of escape, far from the hustle and bustle of daily life. The service is flawless: warm, discreet, and incredibly attentive. Everything is designed to bring calm and relaxation. A truly soothing and luxurious retreat, perfect for unwinding and recharging.

We booked the spa package with 60 minute treatment, overnight stay, and Michelin star dining. The whole thing was perfection. The spa is spotless with so many steam rooms, outdoor jacuzzi, and lovely views. Facial and massage were superb from friendly and professional therapists. Food local, meticulously prepared, and delicious. Room was very comfortable and full of English charm (and homemade cookies). We enjoyed meeting the horses and the flirty cat in the stables, then borrowing bikes to cycle round the grounds. And the incredibly hard working staff in all areas were just the right mix of attentive and friendly whilst professional and unobtrusive. So much attention to detail with wellies and umbrellas for the cooler weather. 5 stars well earned.

Sadly updating my long-term, 5 star review, after 15 visits since 2009. Many of the rooms are now in need of updating and could do with some fresh furnishings. On a recent trip they put us in a room with a significant amount of mould around the windows which made the room smell so bad that we had to move. Staff didn't apologise and still expected the strange 5% service charge on top of the already highly inflated room prices. This is my other gripe; the booking system is a complete lottery. One day the only room left on your selected date will be £1000 per night, then miraculously, many more will appear at more typical prices in the weeks that follow - my advice is to wait as long as you can before booking, as prices tend to come down the nearer you are to your preferred date, but gone are the days when you could stay there for £280 a night. Lucknam Park must be on a cost-cutting / profit maximising drive because until a few years ago you were greeted with a plate of fruit and a tin of shortbread biscuits in every room on arrival. Nowadays, you don't get anything unless you're in a top-end room. The hotel is beautiful, the spa facilities are great despite starting to look a bit worn in places. For some reason they've removed all of the tiles from the hydro pool which means that leftover grout scratches your legs in places - another issue which was duly dismissed in the past. The food is the main highlight with the Hywel Jones restaurant being an absolute must - the food is incredible. The Walled Garden has also come a long way and offers great food as a more affordable alternative. I still love this place, I hate the dynamic booking and I find the staff unable to say sorry and admit to issues, but it remains a favourite and I sincerely hope that some of these issues will be addressed in due course.

We did a package for an overnight stay, spa and dinner in the Michelin star and couldn’t recommend it enough. The spa treatments were especially great - we’ve been to lots of nice spas and this was the best massage we’ve both ever had. Service here is brilliant

Lucknam Park is hands down one of our favourite places to stay in the UK! Nestled in the countryside just outside Bath, this stunning country house hotel offers the perfect mix of elegance, tranquillity, and luxury. We only had one night here during our last stay, but even in such a short time, we felt completely relaxed and refreshed. Unfortunately, we arrived late, so we missed out on dinner, but waking up to breakfast in bed was a treat. After that, a few hours by the beautiful spa and pool was exactly what we needed. The spa area is spacious and well-designed, with an outdoor section that is incredibly peaceful and calming – the perfect spot to unwind. Lunch at The Brasserie was fantastic, with delicious food and a true country feel to the whole experience. From the moment you arrive, the atmosphere, service, and surroundings make you feel completely at ease. Next time, we’ll definitely stay for a few nights to soak up everything Lucknam Park has to offer. If you’re looking for a luxury countryside retreat, this place is an absolute must! 🌿✨🏡

We have been regulars to the brasserie for a number of years as the food, service and setting have always been lovely. Since completing the renovations and relaunching as recently The Walled Garden restaurant, the facilities are now even more amazing!

Idyllic. The spa is wonderful, and the grounds are generally serene. Settle by the fire with a coffee, or sit with a nice whisky in the outdoor hot pool, feeling the wind whip overhead. Few things feel more peaceful anyplace away from home.

My SO and I were gifted a voucher for an afternoon tea and spa day at Lucknam Park. I've been to Lucknam on several different occasions for afternoon tea, and also enjoyed a delightful overnight stay for my birthday back in 2019. I've also used the spa, albeit many years ago. So, I was excited to have the opportunity to try out the spa facilities again, which have undergone considerable modernisation since I had last been there. I have to say, this is probably my best spa experience to date! The spa facilities are incredible - and spacious, clean and modern. I especially loved the huge 20 metre indoor pool, the indoor and outdoor hydrotherapy pools, and the Japanese salt room. I think we could of happily spent all of our time in the spa itself. It was just the most wonderful experience, we didn't want to leave! Our voucher also included a treatment. I went for the Targeted Back Massage & Personalised Express Facial, and my partner chose the Sea Salt Scrub and Back Massage. We both thoroughly enjoyed our treatments. (Shout out to my lovely and friendly therapist, Sophie!) We were able to spend a bit more time in the spa following our 60 minute treatments, before it was time to get changed and head to the main house for afternoon tea. As I mentioned earlier, I have visited Lucknam before for afternoon tea. So, I pretty much knew what to expect. We had the choice of sitting in the library or the main lounge, so we chose the library, which is probably my favourite room in the hotel! The afternoon tea was very enjoyable, and staff were friendly and attentive. Thank you Team Lucknam. We very much hope to return for another spa day, maybe next year?!

In the middle of a beautiful countryside setting, Lucknam Park is a hotel and spa as well. We had booked in to their Walled garden restaurant, a light and airy modern addition. The dovecote is currently being turned into a smoking room and humidor. Since it was our first visit it was useful that two of the group ordered from the main menu and two from the lunch menu. Read the menu carefully, at first we weren't much taken by the selection, we were pleased with the results. The mains included Bream/crab/Cullen skink, Plaice and brown shrimp and linguini. Very good indeed as we're the starters and especially the sticky toffee pudding. When we go again I will miss out on the starter and have two desserts! The Three Choirs Rosé went extremely well with the fish (£35). Including the tip all in for £238, £50pp exc the wine. About right we thought. Lovely place to just wander afterwards. Shame it was such a dull day.

Stayed back in May with my young son to take advantage of a pre-school break. I was slightly apprehensive taking him to a luxury hotel however they looked after us so well without getting in the way of those who wanted some peace and quiet. The room was stunning and was located within the walled gardens which are just stunning! Absolutely loved the walled garden restaurant, a really fantastic selection of food and as a vegetarian, good choice can be rare. The flavour particularly was outstanding and cannot wait to go back to eat , even if we don’t manage to stay. The grounds were large with lots of beautiful walks, needed another nights stay to make the most of the facilities. My son’s favourite part had to be the purpose build play lodge, located at the back of the grounds with different playrooms thoughtfully designed with each age group in mind from babies through to teenagers, we spend quite a bit of time there but could have stayed longer! They also thought about the grownups with coffee facilities and a phone if a lift back to the hotel was required. The outside play area was just a great and covered all ages. I must also sing the praises for team who helped me entertain my son which was Gareth in reception, Tom the restaurant host and Tyler the barman. Thanks again, cannot wait to return!

Just had a fantastic weekend at Lucknam Park to celebrate my husbands 50th. From the moment we arrived we knew we were going to love it. Our room was upgraded and it was fabulous! We also enjoyed the champagne and biscuits that were waiting for us. The staff were exemplary everywhere we went, particularly attentive were James and Tyler who served us in both restaurants. The food in the Hywel Jones restaurant is wonderful! Lovely grounds to walk around and and the spa is great! Will definitely visit again!

Disappointed and very very overpriced! This was the first time we came to Lucknam Park Hotel. Given the high price charged per night for over £600 a night, we had high expectations. Rooms were very dated. And food option was another huge let down for us. Everything was super over priced. The only restaurant that was open when we were there was the Michelin starred restaurant, which we did dine in a couple of times. They only offer dinners with set menus (£110 for three courses) and service was very very slow. For lunches, and for dinners if you don't choose to dine in this restaurant, there is no other proper seated area to eat. They only offer a food menu to eat at the hotel lounge. For a few lunches, we had to eat in the hotel lounge with low coffee tables to eat on. The food was bland and way over priced, to say the least. They also charged £8.50 for a cup of tea which is ridiculous. One day we arranged afternoon tea and it was quite difficult to eat from the low tables in the lounge. We asked if we could sit in the main restaurant which was empty and not used before dinner but we were refused. Overall a very disappointing experience and won’t recommend at all.

Fantastic. A special weekend and the hotel helped facilitate. The service from all staff is warm, friendly, proper and consistent among all. The hotel, rooms and grounds are gorgeous, such a wonderful place to stay. The people who have given 1 star, must be the people who just love to be a victim and perpetually offended.

Hannah and her lovely Team are serving delicious home-cooked recipes in a stunning English country village pub in Wiltshire. My meal was served hot, full of flavour and was seasoned to perfection. With a fabulous range of wines to suit every pallet, and local beers, every taste is catered for. They deserve every single one of these five stars. Wishing you all every success in the future. I will be back next week!
