Friendly local pub, great local beers

We provided 4 x casks of Oktoberfest Ales in August 2023, and to date the owner will not respond.to emails, phone calls or texts and we are owed more than £500. This landlord does not pay for the beer that we have delivered from Swindon and will not respond to numerous attempts to gain contact next step CCJ.

Very friendly little place, not least the Landlord, Adrian who was brought up in the Pub trade in the city and surrounding villages. I was made extremely welcome by both Adrian and his customers on the Two visits I made to the Village. To Adrian, Pete says “ey up” back to you, but talk about being off the beaten track! Lol

Fantastic pub with amazing craft beer. Bar staff and patrons are really friendly and they have a great selection os spirits and wine. Recommend a visit if you're passing through Salisbury

Best breakfast treat. Took hubby for a post night out breakfast, just what you need the morning after. Clean and busy cafe, very popular.

It was quiet for an early Saturday evening. Barman was very friendly and customers were welcoming. Good place to go.

Nice little pub with great service. Tuesday is quiz night. Sunday grey run a meat raffle. What is not to like 🙂

Weirdly great. Looks shabby from the outside but a proper local indoors. Great wall of train photos too.

What a lovely, welcoming place. We popped in whilst on a visit to Salisbury and it happened to be quiz night (Tues @7.30pm). Friendly, locals, good beer, clean and comfortable. Well worth a visit.

Easily the best friendly feel real ale pub in Salisbury... It's clearly the gem of all pubs, near rail station, nothing better. Music, friendly staff and more importantly great ale. The clientele first class, friendly and great for a social.

Five real ales on tap, friendly clientele, welcoming landlord, unpretentious with a pleasant atmosphere. Pub decorated with railway photographs and some memorabilia. No food available other than usual bar snacks and cheese rolls offered with a variety of chutneys. Worth a visit for beer afficionados.

Great beer served by friendly people

The Village is a basic pub in Sainsbury a good choice of beers friendly staff and friendly people, my visit last Saturday I had a couple of pints of Porter and a very nice cheese and pickle sarnie. I believe it opens at 5pm weekdays and 12 lunchtime on a weekend. Worth a visit if you are in Salisbury.

Lovely old pub with good food, good prices and opposite Old Sarum the iron age hill fort that William the conquerer used as his stronghold.

This is a very friendly, just out of town local with a changing selection of real ales. If I lived closer, I would certainly use it regularly.

Excellent local beer. Very hoppy. The cheese rolls looked excellent, but I'd already had lunch.

Great pub, always four real ales on and invariably one that suits me. Adequate food menu too with cheese rolls or cheese rolls with pickle which complements the ale. Proper rolls too with a decent slab of cheese. If you don't like decent beer and cheese, this is probably not the pub for you.

The great thing about this pub is the cheese rolls...Generous amounts of mature chedder encased in large baps can be washed down with quality ales...Who could ask for anything more..?

If you like excellent beer and good company, and would rather your pub kept the prices down instead of wasting money on new wallpaper, The Village is the place to go. Best real ale in the city, easily.
