Staff were lovely the food was delicious. Taste and quality of the food was amazing. There was 8 of us and we ordered the queen's feast for 8 people. Again no issues all very happy with the food it. Only slight critique was more bread needed. We were given so many lovely dips and there just wasn't enough bread to dip ratio. Definitely be back to try some of the other dishes! Thank you for a delicious lunch and another great thing is the restaurant is dog friendly!

We were quite lucky to get a take without a reservation. The place was packed and everyone who entered after us was turned away. The food was tasty and the presentation lovely. We go the hummus, the charred bread, the falafel, and the mussels. Everything was delicious. Just the falafel was a bit salty.

Couldn't have been better. Three of us shared a number of the small dishes and it was a perfect quantity, leaving just enough room for dessert which was spectacular. Even the cider we had for dinner, which was a Somerset cider made locally was wonderful. Thank you very much. Not that bad

Our visit to The Queen of Cups in Glastonbury was an exceptional experience. The food was nothing short of outstanding, offering a vibrant array of flavours that truly delighted the palate. Every dish was a feast for the eyes, with colourful presentations that made the dining experience even more enjoyable. The attention to detail in the presentation was remarkable, and the staff were incredibly attentive and helpful, enhancing the overall atmosphere. They made sure we were well taken care of throughout the meal. For a Michelin-star restaurant, we were pleasantly surprised by how reasonably priced everything was. It’s rare to find such high-quality dining at such a fair price. All in all, an amazing experience we would highly recommend to anyone visiting Glastonbury!

What a find - such wonderful, friendly service and the food was outstanding. The two of us lunching today agreed the frena bread was the best we’ve ever tasted. So springy, fluffy and light inside with a beautifully crispy, salty, scorched exterior - it was glorious! Perfect for dipping in the silken hummus dish we ordered with it. And the lavabread falafel was a revelation. Would recommend a hundred times over 👌

The restaurant is located a short easy walk from the town centre. It does not appear to have its own car park, however there is ample parking close by. I would not say it is disabled friendly as there are steps both outside and within the interior. There is a small reasonably stocked bar and a good wine list. Inside is small but not too cramped, indoor and outdoor seating is available. It appears clean, reasonably decorated and well looked after. We could in no way fault the service we received, the young lady being polite, friendly, professional and well presented. She is a credit to both the restaurant and herself. It is not often you receive service as good as this from all of the staff. The food was not what I expected, with flavours, textures and combinations I would never have thought about. It was however nicely cooked, well presented and really really tasty. It caters exceptionally well for vegetarian or vegan customers. We had no issues with the food at all. As for value for money, possibly a little expensive, but not bad for the quality of food. Coming in at a little over £180 for four people, including wine, drinks and an optional tip. Give it a try, its different. We would quite happily eat hear again. Well done to all at the Queen of Cups.

We were lucky enough to be gifted a voucher for our special celebratory meal last night. The food is exceptional, stunning presentation, an array of colours and flavours and not out the way in price. Waiting times are quite long, as was very busy. But a nice atmosphere. The only thing we were a bit disappointed with, was we particularly booked last night being the 'steak night' and were so looking forward to our steak. There was not 1 steak on the menu! Well there was one, but it was crossed out, and we'd brought our table forward an hour to 6.30pm so couldn't work out how they could possibly run out that early and only have 1 option on the menu, as we'd seen an example steak menu online that had a choice of 3.... Luckily we were pleased with the other menu. Inside, the restaurant is nothing special as still looks like the Hawthorns tbh, how I remember it from before. A lovely dining experience however and will definately go again.

Me and my girlfriend (and our two dogs) visited Queen of Cups last week for my birthday, and it was an incredible experience. The staff were brilliant as was the food, but especially our server, Charlie/Charlotte, who was so, so helpful. We were total novices to the style of menu and the food, and she happily gave us her recommendations (which were delicious) and didn't make us feel silly for asking questions. As another lovely touch to the evening, they even put a candle in my desert and sang me happy birthday. The food was unlike anything we've ever had before, as was the service, and we hope to be back again in future when we're back in Glastonbury.

Levantine dreams are made of this. Mouth-watering plates of tantalising flavours, from fat and juicy olives to piquant pickles and creamy whipped Feta. The Hogget is tender and tasty, the felafels fabulous, the pita perfection itself. Little pops of spice, smokiness, and sustenance came on every single plate, served up by knowledgeable Issey, first cooked and presented with love from Ayesha Kalaji, her middle-eastern passion shining through. Just go! Thank me later...

Have to say, the service really didn’t do its job with me. I wanted to get a quickly some food, any food. Arrived to more or less empty restaurant at 6 pm, was told restaurant is fully booked. I could sit outside, where tables were free, but I wouldn’t be server any food, only drink, as everyone arrives in the next 45 minutes… 45 minutes… I’d have eaten and be gone by than. No trial whatsoever to find even an appetizer, cold food that must be ready and make a happy customer. No effort, no try. Sorry but I guess I’m used to different client service. This was for me very disappointing experience, without the experience.

Right, let me cut to the chase if you are thinking of somewhere nice to eat in the area, you will not be disappointed here! When it comes to flavors, textures and presentation , Queen of Cups js THE go to spot! Now if you want my complete and honest review continue reading… as a self confessed foodie, I am a stickler for the details and I had been wanting to come here some some time since I saw it on the Michelin Bib Gormand List. On top of all that it was my birthday today so I had great expectations going in. It was already busy when we entered and the staff seemed to be a little pressed from the get go, however they were quick to seat us to our table which we had reserved online. There seemed to be some confusion on the whereabouts of the wine list but soon enough we were situated and got our order in. Upon recommendation we ordered the Pinot Nior, and I selected the Labneh, baba ganoush, market fish and hogget and the potatoes on the side. Unfortunately, the wine was a huge let down, it was thin and acidic in flavor. It really put us off at the start. Following that the pita was fired much earlier than the dips it was supposed to be served with which meant it got cold around the edges and the bread was hard by the time it was served with the baba and Labneh. By this point I wondered if I made the right decision to come here…that was until I took my first bite. I kid you not my eyes rolled back and I was shocked, the flavor profile was beautifully complex. The intensely Smokey ganoush was contrasted with sweet fresh pomegranates and sharp picked onions. And the labneh was rich and creamy beyond belief. The pita it self was delightfully seasoned if only it was hot upon arrival. Following that the mains came and we switched the wine to beers which the waitress graciously agreed to. When you thought it wasn’t going to get better the mains brought all new spices and flavors which altered the senses and delivered a true culinary experience. I was impressed to say the least. It was busy, but I really wish we could get seen to a little quicker between dishes, it would have really smoothed over the whole thing more. We ended with the panacotta and lemon ginger honey sorbet. This was the only dish I remembered to capture since I was more distracted by the flavors and forgot to film. This desert was the absolute perfect way to cap the meal. The flavors were immensely rich and they came in later, first to had the sharp lemon then the rich honey and it was ended with the spice of the ginger and the taste of bay in your mouth, a truly incredible barrage of tastes. You have to try the pancotta aswell, it is again a symphony in the mouth . Overall I would recommend this to anyone looking for a fantastic meal in Somerset, understand this is a pub setting and so is the atmosphere. Bring a friend, bring a parent it is worth the visit indeed.

Let me start by saying that I don't normally leave reviews; this is an extraordinary case. In my opinion the food wasn't that great but the reason for the review is: 1) I order a beer, I ask for it to be English (seeing so many Spanish beers), they bring me a Japanese Ashai (which cost double the price of an English bitter) despite the lady at the counter told her colleague that I had asked for an English beer, I asked why and they replied that it was the best lager they had; after 3 times trying to explain that I wanted an English beer I give up. Obviously I paid for the Ashai 2) An inedible pita arrived, it tasted so much like smoke; I have to say that they recognized it and changed it. 3) damn at home I saw the receipt and it wasn't the tax receipt, I don't know how the taxation of English restaurants is but I'll point it out

QofC is more than just a restaurant; it’s a dining experience. It promises a memorable meal on every visit, whether you’re a local or a visitor to Glastonbury. The menu is a testament to culinary creativity and excellence. Each dish is crafted with the freshest, locally sourced ingredients, showcasing a delightful fusion of middle-eastern flavours. We generally opt for the ‘queens feast’ set menu option which gives a taste of many dishes from the menu that perfectly complement each other. The dishes just keep coming! The service at QofC is impeccable. The staff are attentive and knowledgeable. The head chef, Ayesha, is an absolute genius in the kitchen and is genuinely passionate about the food she serves. The food was satisfactory but could have been better. The duck was dry and very salty! Service was quite slow, with the servers disappearing abruptly. In terms of cost, we opted for the Queen's Feast. It turns out you pay more than you would if you had chosen different dishes separately. Additionally, you pay per person, but you must share all the courses. In summary, the restaurant earns a decent profit from its menu selection and the client pays more by eating less.

The food , as always, was amazing. Incrediable. However - I was really upset about the standard of service - I wrote a review about 3 months ago - I live in Glastonbury and it is absolutely my favourite restaurant - and I remarked on how good the service was. And it was, until last night. Now I come to think of it, when I went in to book I was served by a young man surly of nature and dismissive of manner. Last night he was also in attendance, along with a young woman of an equally unhelpful attitude. They were not busy, but neither of the two made any effort to acknowledge us. We were finally shown to our table and left for a while. No asking if we would like a drink . The menus arrived and he disappeared again. His sidekick carried on folding her napkins and ignoring any customers. Waiter finally reappeared and asked if we would like any drinks. Now things got really interesting! Friend - Do you have any real Ale as it says in this guide you do? Waiter - Yes, we had some last week. Friend - And now? Waiter - No, it was here last week. Now we have Golden Ale. Friend - Is that in a cask? Waiter - It’s Golden Ale. This conversation wore on with the repetition of the phrase ‘ It was here last week’ becoming most tedious. Anyway, we ordered some simple drinks - and food. When I have been before, staff have been very enthusiastic to explain unusual ingredients and give recommendations- some foods are very unusual and also it’s nice to hear about what is particularly good etc etc. Nope, off he sauntered and we waited. Food came quite quickly- drinks did not. I had to ask - they were being ‘made’ - no, not exotic cocktails, two halves of lager. Food was fabulous, as always. We ordered dessert - and waited. And waited. Finally,Madame Napkin who had been had been prised away from her task and her idling behind the bar, sauntered over in her beachwear, and ungraciously served us with a scowl. She then went to find cutlery, which she just handed to us hand to hand which just felt wrong. By this point we had been in the restaurant for almost two hours. Much of this had been waiting for the dynamic duo to take our orders. I would have spoken to the manager at the time, but by the time we left it was busy but we were very, very disappointed by the standard. There was another waitress, smartly dressed, who was lovely, and perhaps she coukd teach the other two how you treat customers and appropriate dress - keep beachwear for the beach, please!

This restaurant & the very talented chef/patron Aeysha Kalajai was the reason for us choosing to visit & stay in Glastonbury. They offer many lovely dishes, designed for sharing. We ordered far too much food (we were going to also order a large plate of her cauliflower dish but the waiter wisely suggested we hold back!!) We started with pickled turnip, Iraqi pita & sublime hummus with date confiture & olive oil. Hubby had an amazing apricot harissa hoggett ragu with his share. Then labneh with peach, confit garlic & za'atar breadcrumbs. Had fried potatoes with confit garlic, bergamot & za'atar aioli. Star dish of the night was Grilled Nabulsi cheese with Persian black honey (similar to Halloumi in texture.) We also had vine leaf wrapped beef koftas. Couldn't resist trying the puds either, despite being pretty full! I had an orange blossom mahalibia (a smooth rice pudding) with apricots. Hubby had the Sorbet special of the day i.e. watermelon, cucumber & mint. Had the pleasure of meeting Ayeshia afterwards & told her that we'd try to get back soon

When we came in the afternoon, the male clerk told us that it was closed and asked us to come back at five o'clock. As a result, when we waited until five o'clock, a bad waitress told us that we had to wait until 7:30 to make a reservation. I think the service is terrible, and it is blind, unclear, and a little racist. After your reply, boss, because the waiter asked us to come back at five o'clock and because he had a good attitude, we waited outside for two hours. When we were the second in line to go in, I saw with my own eyes that your waitress was very friendly and smiling to the first customer, but when she came to ask us, we said we didn't have a reservation, and the male waiter asked us to come back at five o'clock. When I came back, the waitress started to say in a bad manner: "Do you want to see my reservation book? There are no seats left." I don't know why I was treated like this. If he had told me in a nice manner, I probably wouldn't have felt that way. Then you sat in the back and didn't say anything when you saw this misunderstanding. I also think it's quite humorous. I'm not a person who would make such comments when nothing happens. To be honest, I don't really care about these racial discriminations. It's just because you wasted two hours of my precious travel time and then had such an attitude. It's so bad that it makes me feel like traveling to the UK is a terrible thing.

My family and I are frequent diners at Michelin starred restaurants, but Queen of Cups in Glastonbury has become our absolute favourite spot to visit whenever we're in the area. We make sure to stop by at least twice a year to indulge in the incredible food, welcoming atmosphere, and outstanding service. Our recent dining experience was nothing short of exceptional! We started with the hummus, which was beautifully paired with date confiture and chilli oil, a perfect combination of flavours. The Iraqi pitta that accompanied it was so fresh and delicious. We always order the infamous Laverbread falafel, and it was absolutely divine! This dish is always a crowd pleaser and a must-try for anyone visiting Queen of Cups. We also had the seasonal asparagus with purple broccoli, served on top of a bed of whipped Westcombe ricotta, smoked almonds, shatta and seasonal pickles For mains, we opted for the confit duck leg, served with a delightful herb salad, walnut, wild garlic, and sorrel gremolata. The dish also included two pieces of duck ham that were incredibly tasty, alongside roasted carrots and a sour pomegranate jus that tied everything together perfectly. Beyond the mouthwatering cuisine, the restaurant's relaxed atmosphere makes it the perfect place to unwind and enjoy a memorable meal. A special mention goes to the manager, Ceartain, whose attentive and warm hospitality elevates the dining experience to another level. Ceartain is always on the ball and ensures every guest has a fantastic time. If you're looking for a culinary adventure in Somerset, I cannot recommend Queen of Cups enough. The food overall tasty with some of the dishes extraordinary (loved the hummus, falafel and asparagus with broccoli and ricotta). The Queen's salad would not appeal to everybody, however a couple of us loved this too. The batata hara and monkfish were also very flavourful, but not as impressive. Pita bread was nice when warm but turning chewy as it cooled off. The wine list is interesting. The whole menu is reasonably priced for the quality of the food. I will definitely return and recommend a visit if you are in the area.

Highly recommended - for variety and quality of food, brilliant serving staff who were very accommodating to our last-minute additional requests to an already packed private dining room birthday party booking: I'd eaten here a few months previously so it was my first choice when asked where I wanted to celebrate a milestone birthday. Flavours and dishes you will be unlikely to have encountered anywhere else: relaxed, happy atmosphere. We all had the Queen's Feast and were all too full for dessert: bravo to the chefs, kitchen and FOH staff who prepared and served 14 feasts to an immaculate standard, at the right temperature and with a smile and cheerful disposition all day!

We had an okay meal, nothing at all worthy of the price. The food came out in a bizarre way. We ordered 4 dishes to both dip into and enjoy the combination of flavours. The last dish didn’t arrive until everything else was finished so we ended up with a cheese block and nothing to eat it with. The waiting staff seemed to be relentless… just ask and ask and ask more drinks? Any dessert? Any dessert? From a different waiting staff, more drinks?? I get it we only had a slot then our table was rebooked. We ended up leaving half hour before our reservation was done because we couldn’t just talk without constant interruption. The food itself was ok. But nothing I would really go nuts for. I’d been given a voucher as a gift and it wasn’t really a relaxing experience. Such a shame I’d heard so much about it and was excited to try it.

Found this restaurant by accident and what an amazing place. The food is amazing and the cost quality ratio is fantastic. Everything we ordered was incredible. If I lived in Glastonbury I would eat there weekly.

Many new members of staff but all were very welcoming and helpful. Would not fault the service at all, we were well looked after, they were attentive but not overbearing. The food was excellent, we had 'The Queens Feast', an 8 dish selection from the menu which gave a taste of the whole menu. 5 star experience, would definitely go again.

Our second visit. We drove for an hour and a half to eat here, and we weren’t disappointed. The food was even better than our first visit. Fantastically accomplished cooking, the labneh was a stand out for us, but the whole experience was fantastic. We will be back.

This was the first visit for our group of 6 today. We booked for lunch & we were not disappointed. The floor team was welcoming & service was good. Place had a good atmosphere for a lunchtime. The food was an absolute explosion of flavours. We had 3 vegan Queens Feasts between us albeit that only 3 of the group were vegan. Thanks to the kitchen team for the original & wonderful food. We all look forward to returning. Thanks to everyone ar tge Queen of Cups.

Absolutely amazing food. We like many, had discovered this place due to Masterchef The Professionals. It didn't disappoint! Every dish we had was delicious. THE best hummus I've ever had. I dream about this hummus! Nice selection of beers, including alcohol free. Coffee was decent. And dessert was amazing. We've spent more on meals in the past but this was far superior. And we loved that its also dog friendly. We'll definitely be back :)

We experienced a wonderful surprise during my sister's birthday dinner. The atmosphere was cozy, the people were friendly, and the food was out of this world. The fusion of ingredients was delightful and we could feel the love that the chef puts into her cooking. Meeting her was a privilege; her passion for cooking was apparent in every dish. If you're ever in Glastonbury, you simply must visit this place.

Great service, if you are a fan of middle eastern flavours then this is the place for you. Balance of flavours, so fragrant and delicious. Very busy but, everything as it should be. Do leave room for a pudding, an abundance of cardamom, pistachios and rose await. Many thanks. Will return soon.

A fantastic restaurant with exceptional food. The different flavours and textures are gorgeous and presentation very pretty and thoughtful. Brilliant vegan choice alongside vegetarian and small choice of meat and fish Very friendly staff who knew all about the food and were able to explain everything. Small plates are plenty for 2 to share and mains are huge. Only one issue…there are so many lovely things to choose you end up ordering too much !

We love Turkish food and visiting Turkey. This was our last night in Halifax and we enjoyed it very much. Good food and wine. Service was excellent. I hope Halifax enjoys this lovely Turkish restaurant as much as we did.

In a town of excellent, varied restaurants this may be the best. Cheery staff. Marvellous food with a Middle Eastern twist. Perhaps the best "full works breakfast' that I have ever had. A pleasant atmosphere, and come the warmer weather, a nice garden. Watch out for the unusual Wednesday/Thursday closure days

My group booked a table at this apparently excellent local restaurant, I received a call 2 hours before our sitting informing me that my group could only be sat outside due to having a dog despite it being winter and having booked a table at this "dog friendly" restaurant months and months ago. Absolutely appalling behaviour, avoid, avoid, avoid.
