Well we never got in. We called the day before to book 6 people for Wednesday but the guy said they only take bookings for 8 + people! That's a party!! Otherwise we just show up. So we did go there and we were asked how many people and when we said 6 they said we have to be 8 or more. Ridiculous! We took our business elsewhere.

Totally surprising place making delicious alcohol-free cocktails with extremely researched ingredients, the vast majority of them locally sourced if not self-grown. The place is like an intimate garden; the scent the choose to diffuse is relaxing and interesting. The owners are charming and welcoming, as we entered they gave us a tasting tour of their specialties!

Its a good little place. There was just one thing I found disappointing and that was a lack of enthusiasm for the coffee they are selling. We weren't able to try any other coffee varieties other than the one we were told they always serve. So we had to purchase our beans without sampling them. The members of staff answered our questions to some degree but there was no enthusiasm or additional information offered. It seemed a shame that they had so many coffee varieties but weren't making the most of it. As it claims to be a coffee 'school" it was strange that no one was professing any knowledge of the subject. We have visited on many occasions and this seems to be a trait or quirk of the place. Otherwise a good place for a cup of coffee.

I had not visited in a while. With so many new eating establishments in Winch now days I was reluctant to go back to my all time reliable Monde! Iām so glad I did though! Such a warm welcome! Nothing too much trouble for Phil and his team. The place felt warm, friendly and absolutely timeless. Just love Monde, its food, service and ambience are what will keep me coming back.

Popped in today with family for hot chocolate. The place is always busy as it has a good reputation. BUT, there has clearly been a change in staff and they simply werenāt coping with the volume of customers. The queue was out the door and the stress seemed evident, with one staff member being quite brusque with us when serving. The table we found hadnāt been cleared of the previousā empties. They did sort this out for us relatively promptly. After ordering I had to ask for an additional loyalty stamp (according to the card itās per hot drink, not visit) for the two hot chocolates I ordered and when the drinks arrived they werenāt as hot as either of us would have liked. Didnāt make a fuss, as by then the queue was out the door again and I didnāt want to stress out the already stressed manager. Next thing we knew, two younger male staff members sauntered out of the kitchen like they had all the time on the world, whilst the manager was still clearly running around like a headless chicken. Unfortunately the choc chip scones we had were dry. I think they had previously been frozen. To be fair we were offered these to be heated up for us but declined. Biggest issue is clearly training the new staff who arenāt pulling their weight. I feel disappointed as the staff used to be super here, efficient and friendly and it used to have a lovely atmosphere, even when busy. Unfortunately I feel there were neither here today. Really hope youāre able to iron these issues out. :)

A big shout out to these guys. Service & food was brilliant. We were visiting my dad in the hospital & as the visiting hours are 2pm onwards š I thought I would take my mum for lunch first. From thr first phone call, to service, & the food - & I'm fussy!!, you won't be disappointed! And portions were huge! The pickled watermelon š± was amazing! Nothing to fault at all. Thank you, we will be back ! Might even bring dad lol

Consistently lovely food and excellent service at this pub- definitely one of the (if not the) best pubs in Winchester. The lighting and decor gives it so much character and I find itās the perfect cosy winter pub. Also have to add the playlist is always 10/10. š¤š»

Delicious home cooked food from hard working Korean family including dumplings, Japanese favourites, Bao buns and bimbap. They also make their own pastries which I have not tried but look yummy. Includes vegan and gf options. In summer there are benches on the pedestrianised street as well as tables inside. A very individual restaurant slightly off the beaten track in Winchester, tends to be busy but well worth the wait.

We've ordered a takeaway from this restaurant 3 times. The first time it was ok, the second time it was really good, but the third time will ensure we never order from here again. The pork in the sui mai dumplings was completely raw and the chow mein noodles had no flavour, despite opting for spice. The spring rolls were also soggy. But mainly it was the raw meat... š¤¢

Great food and good service. Staff very attentive on allergies, but possibly over-so - we wanted a garlic bread with half vegan cheese and half mozzarella, the waiting staff were cautious about this and tried to talk us out of it even though we were saying neither of us had a dairy allergy, but they eventually agreed. There was then a miscommunication in the kitchen and we were served one with just vegan mozzarella. They were very apologetic and brought us another one free of charge.
