The best restaurants serving Other european-cuisines food in St Michael Winchester South East

Trading on a name that is somewhat tainted. Visited this restaurant over the weekend with friends. So very disappointed by the place Poor service, poor food, no care. Had to ask and remind staff at every turn. Sides didn’t turn up with main course and when the did, they were cold. Had to remind staff about a drinks order. 45 minutes after our main course plates were cleared, I had to ask the waitress if the restaurant had stopped serving desserts.: Waitress: “No sir, why” me: “so why has no one bothered to offer us one” With So many great options in Winchester why would I ever choose this, or indeed any other Hotel du Vin again???

We visited many pubs whilst visiting Winchester and TBF all were of a good standard, however, the one we kept returning to was the Eclipse. Well kept beer, good value food, excellent friendly staff. Muff said.
