Excellent food and good value too. Tacos are always amazing, beef tataki v. nice. And you can bring your own wine of Sake for a small corkage fee.

I went there to celebrated my birthday with my friends, we absolutely loved this place! For me is the best sushi place in Winchester. We had a few dishes and they all were so tasty and very unique! The flovours and quality of ingredients are excellent. Wow definitely we will back.

We have eaten in at 21 Sushi several times as it’s my daughters fave place to eat! The food and service is always exceptional! We chose to have a takeaway tonight instead as we had just returned from holiday and the takeaway was of restaurant standard! Great delivery time too! Food was A*********

Sushi here is outstanding, a broad menu and some really lovely sushi. It is a bit pricey but that’s sushi for you! We usually take away and it travels well. We have eaten in , it’s a very casual/ informal dining room. Got a bit stuffy as it’s quite small and opens up into the kitchen but these are minor issues. Highly recommend!

I come to picup the order, the man for kichen is saw to whait 20 audside is poor service, the order is need to be ready before coming to colect.

Absolutely unbelievable culinary experience!!!! This family run restaurant is out of this world. The cuisine is second to none....and by far the best Japanese restaurant in southern England .........and provides a serious challenge to the top Japanese restaurants in London .... my wife and I have dined in most of the top rated ones in London and nothing comes close to 21 Sushi in Winchester. Without doubt, you have to order the salmon belly nigiri (wow!!!) and the soft shell crab tacos. Their house sake is incredible and costs £7.50 for 500ml!. I lived in NYC and LA for close to 30 years and have been to multiple Japanese restaurants in the US most of which are fantastic, but this little venue place in Winchester is more than a serious contender. The owner, Johnny, is so personable and puts his own unique twist on Japanese cuisine..........Trust me, you will absolutely love the dishes (all of which are amazing)......Thank you Johnny and staff for your incredible food journey!!! ....All the best Greg>

Really cute place and busy, which added to the atmosphere. Great menu choice. There were 3 of us in our group and we all ordered different things - everything looked and tasted exceptional. Very fresh flavours. Can’t wait to go back!

Having had great sushi in Japan and good sushi in the USA, but never better than ‘ok’ sushi in the UK, we were delighted to discover this gem locally. Truly excellent. We will be returning. Frequently.

We loved everything about our evening here. Friendly staff, byo with £10 corkage (perfect for people who are particular about their wines), absolutely fantastic, delicious, freshly made sushi, tempura, gyoza. The chef came and had a chat with us as we were the first to order his new dish. It was so good, we ordered a second portion! It was all so good, we can’t wait to get back!

Such a wonderful evening here! A real newly opened hidden gem. The lady serving us was attentive but not over bearing, coming from a 5* hospitality background myself I honestly couldn't fault a single moment of service from her. Now the food, by god the food was outstanding! Beautifully presented, superb portion sizes, incredible flavours. We both commented on how we loved the slightly thicker cut sashimi and how the chef didn't skimp out in filling the sushi rolls to perfection. Price wise was just right I believe, we had a starter each, around 5 dishes split between us and a bottle of sake totalling around £140 for two of us. On another occasion (March 2023) we decided to order a collection take out from here as we just moved into our new home. We had mentioned this and when we got back and unpacked the food we found the sweetest hand written note congratulating us and also a couple of complimentary desserts. Just above and beyond! Certainly our place for special occasions <3 See you in a couple of months!

Wow, what a meal. we tried a mixture of different dishes and loved every single one. You must try the beef tataki, tacos and an absolute must is the melt in your mouth sexy dragon roll it was soooo good. Service was brilliant, very attentive, quick and friendly.
