Stayed for 2 nights … Excellent room .. high level of cleanliness .. by far one of the best rooms we have stayed in within the area .. Easy to get to Park and Ride Oxford ( 10 mins) Only 50 mins from Cheltenham ( Races )Grwat touches in the room Nespresso machine/ breakfast bars etc Great bed linen/ towels All stay very friendly .. the food was delicious and excellent value Such an excellent find .. will definitely return

This is without doubt the worst place I've ever eaten in Witney. It's a child friendly place and is advertised as such but it's like a creche. Noisy unpleasant atmosphere. However that would not have mattered so much had the food been worth it. I came here for lunch with a friend for the first time and we ordered one mezze salad bowl and one chicken bacon and avocado salad bowl coming to about £25. Very small portions for a main course. Literally thrown together, a few leaves, a drizzle of dressing a miserable amount of dry tiny chicken pieces, salad was mainly rocket....bacon was not crisp but more fatty, hardly any avocado. The mezze bowl looked unspeakably unappetising. Just .....awful. It actually looked like leftovers waiting to be scraped into the bin. My friend had paid and she is not local to Witney so I was totally embarrassed. When she went to the loo a chap came to clear our plates and asked if our food had been OK. I told him absolutely not , it was very poor and stated why. No offer of any reduction just the standard trot out line " I'll make sure the chef is informed......" Like the " chef " would give a toot. If they did care about the food they wouldn't send rubbish like this out. I would not eat here again. Not a chance. You never get a second chance to make a first impression and I will not try a place again who display such poor customer care and think this standard of food is even remotely acceptable. In future I'll have a salad in the Angel further along where I can get a beautiful freshly put together salad with some actual meat in it for around half the price.

Had Sunday lunch for Mothers Day it was lovely. I had the roast pork which was lovely my husband had roast beef. Everything was lovely The roast potatoes were especially lovely. the Manager even brought our dog a little plate of beef so she she wasn’t left out. Our waitress was excellent the service was amazing. We felt really looked after, especially on such a busy Sunday service.

Service from the young team was exceptional. Thank you for making my wife’s birthday so special. It is such a pity it’s more than an hour from Stratford upon Avon, as we would visit more often

Outstanding meal- everything was utterly delicious. We had the crab and raviolo to start and the pork and salmon dishes for main- I would order all again and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them all! Service was also unobtrusive but attentive - a perfect balance. My only slight let down was the ‘elevator’ background music, which dimmed the atmosphere somewhat. I am to return however as the food was sublime and would like to try the other dishes.

No the same brilliant experience as the Galleria. Food OK but just a now normal wine bar with food. And no real atmosphere.

After a full day of touring the Palace and the Gardens, we fancied a good curry and a cool Cobra and DaBa was a great option - tasty vegetarian thali and superb service, thank you!

Stopped in for a quick lunch. Delicious panini afresh made to order. It’s quite basic as a cafe, you wouldn’t want to stay for ages, but it’s perfectly nice for a quick lunch. Also delicious pastries & cakes. Eat in or takeaway. Good value.

Ordered a roast. Cauliflower cheese was overcooked to the point it had a burnt crust and not edible. Barely two roast potatoes between two people. Overall the dish was dry. Yorkshire pudding was burnt to crisp. The whole thing just looked unappetising. Should have kept an eye on the prices as the bill crept up to £170. There are other places that are better value. Read the reviews, experienced it now time to move on never to return

Cosy independent Woodstock cafe that serves good English tea with a fair choice of cakes all at reasonable cost. Cheerful 'smiley' waitress and quick service.

We loved our stay at Bird in Hand. Our room was very stylish, clean and cosy. We were welcomed with smiles by Lucy and other wonderful members of the staff. The beds were comfortable with tea, coffee and biscuits laid on in the room. We booked dinner and were impressed with the service and yummy desserts. Our stay was everything that we wanted needed it to be, relaxing, wonderful atmosphere and lovely friendly staff. We will definitely be back if we are in the Witney area again.

A beautifully decorated restaurant with welcoming members of staff. The food portions were generous and both meals were very tasty and enjoyable.

Nothing on tap apart from guiness ans poretti, menu limited, service ok, atmosphere boring, just not good enough for the money! Needs to understand it's a business and work for people's money! I won't return.

We know the take away food is brilliant so tried the buffet tonight. The food was plentiful with a good range of options and very flavourful, it’s a really nice relaxing environment too. The ice cream was good too, premium rather than generic in taste. We will definitely be back.

Visited the newly opened buffet. Wasn’t very appealing, like a cheap cafe with poorly laid out buffet section at front of restaurant. Selection of starters bland and not very appealing. Curries were okay, nothing really very flavoursome. Desserts hidden at back, icecream we were told, didn’t try them. Can BYO drink, with soft drinks included in price of buffet. Music playing was too loud and quite irritating, couldn’t hear each other speak. Fine if you want to gorge on curry cheaply.
