Curry Paradise in West Oxfordshire

Never again! Our starters were average, the ‘butterfly prawn’ was mostly bread crumb and very little prawn and extremely dry. The chicken Shashlick was cooked to almost sawdust, dry and tough and inedible. Why do you get a punnet of salad? It is neither in keeping or in this case edible.

Taste of the curry - out of this word! Absolutely delicious, cannot recommend it enough. Will definitely order again!

We've eaten in, and out, and the quality never fails - if you eat in, Mohammed is the gaffer, he runs the place with charm and a firm hand on the service - Raf, his son, equally charming, and an easy conversationalist, always a smile, nothing's too much trouble. You can see exactly why this place has been going so long, it's just the best! I, like everyone, have a favourite, ( King prawn mehmaani, peshwari nan, pilau rice, my wife the madras, but ghete are many classics to choose from. With ice-cold Cobra on draft or Kingfisher bottles, what more do you want!!

Visited recently. The staff there were so attentive, took a last minute booking and we are so glad they did. The food was fantastic, tasty and really good value. Would definitely recommend that you visit and enjoy the delicious Indian food and the smiles of the staff. Thank you for a gorgeous meal.

Phoned order for delivery, This is the second time we have used this company the service was not great the first time round so we thought we would give them a second chance NEVER AGAIN. Not content with getting half the order wrong in the first place when we rung we were told that was what we ordered(clearly not as reciept said otherwise) it then took another 40 mins for them to get the correct order to us even tho we had ordered flavoured rice they sent plain was also told the manager was going to ring me back to sort out our greavence still no phone call i say to you there are better curry houses in the area i wouldnt waste your money on this one

Hey there me and friend went into dine in this very fine restaurant last week before lockdown and as we were very ordered a lot but the one thing I will never forget are the tandoori king prawns spiced up now this was definitely one dish will get again or two ha so a big recommendation on this dish other then this the rest of the dishes were very tasty too and service great will dine back in after lockdown. I had a takeaway this evening and starter-wise the Sheek kebab was okay however, lacked flavour and spice. In relation to the main course, I ordered a chicken Bhuna but this was a bad mistake and very disappointing. It was bland and lacked considerable flavour; tasting of water and coriander. Considering it is meant to be a medium spiced curry...0 spice!!!! The food was inedible and thrown away! I phoned up the restaurant and explained the situation and disappointment; another curry was made and delivered to us. The same issue occurred the only noticeable difference was the addition of more onions. I would definitely not recommend and will not be coming back!!

Booked the Sunday banquet with friends which was very nice. Chutney tray to start with pompadoms, a choice of starter and main coarse, plus ice cream. Was excellent value for money at 9.95 each. Was very impressed with the service and cleanliness of the restaurant. Very good covid measures in place, probably the best we found in Whitney. The staff all wore visors and felt very safe and comfortable as all the tables were distanced. Well done would definately recommend for a very good curry.

I would recommend curry paradise for any event, they cater to all sizes and are happy to accommodate any unique requests. We went for dinner for three people during the Eat Out Scheme and they happily accommodated us and recommended dishes when we couldn’t decide. Very well organised during the COVID situation and felt relaxed and good to feel normal for a while. Food: Incredible, really lovely and you get large portion!!! Staff: Really lovely and accommodating, attentive but nothing too much. Cost: Great, curry houses are typically cheaper than other meals and this is not an exception. A satisfactory meal but disappointed we were not told that when they gave us the menu we could not have the advertised 3-course set meal! We were told it was to do with the Government Discount Scheme!!! That sounds like A very unfounded excuse! The draft coke was flat and cheap to taste! But a glass cost £4.50!!! Visited as part of the Eat out to Help out scheme. Very busy, we hadnt booked but found a table for us. Their hygiene standards are very high. Table and chairs throughly cleaned , staff wearing visors. As the food served the waiting staff disinfected their hands before handling the plates. A lot of restaurants would learn a lot from this. I ordered a take away from here and collected. Cost £41.00. King prawns were catering prawns of which I had a total of 8, totally overcooked and nothing like a madras.. also just a sauce and prawns and nothing else. Wifes was same quality. Paratha clearly not made in a pan was just compressed nan bread and coconut rice was pure coconut and not as other take away. Worst ever ever meal from anywhere. Could have bought a bag of king prawns for 4 quid and jar of sauce for a quid instead of blowing £20 on curry sauce e and few prawns. Dont even consider a take away from here 😡😡

What can I say? We enjoyed the food, but the service had it's quirks. Imagine being served by Basil Fawlty & you'll get the general idea. Slightly shambolic & a bit brusque. The food was good, so don't let my comments put you off.

We have had takeaways from Curry Paradise over some years. Probably 10-12 per year. Always used to be great food but the last couple have not been very good at all. Madras tasted like it was made with a regular Chicken Madras curry powder and was watery and bland. Chicken Chilli Marsala was bland with a gravy like sauce. Dhansak was ok but not as good as it used to be. On the positive side the Pilaw Rice was better than before and the Naan Bread was light and good. Staff are excellent.

Rara vez dan un curry así que nos sugirió que hacer esto y, de todos los restaurantes en Witney, esta fue la única que no había probado. Reservamos una mesa para 8 o'clock, nos presentamos en 8, no sentado hasta las 8:25 que más gente llegamos nos sentaron enseguida sin reserva! Una vez que nos sentamos pedimos enseguida lo que hicimos, y luego la comida tardó bastante cerca de 40 minutos hasta que salieron a nosotros después de haber quejado. Cuando la cuenta fue simplemente lo el total de la factura sin precios por la comida que tuvimos y estamos bastante seguros de que nos cobraron de más, pero ser demasiado harto dinero y la hora exacta de la izquierda fuimos enseguida. No volveremos.

Y la abuela, el abuelo, que llegó con dos niños de 6 y 3 que nunca habían estado en un restaurante indio antes. Los niños estaban tan amablemente en todo tratado y nos encantó cada minuto de la experiencia. Sus padres llegaron poco después y nos quedamos siempre con bebidas y poppadoms mientras hicimos nuestra selecciones del menú excelente. Todo estaba delicioso. Este es un restaurante todos los adultos siempre me gustó, pero teniendo niños pequeños por una comida puede ser bastante difícil. El personal se aseguró de que esta fue una experiencia muy agradable para todos nosotros, y porque nos cuidaron tan bien los niños no tienen un efecto negativo en otros comensales.

Decidimos probar el paraíso curry para un cambio en nuestra noche como nuestro restaurante favorito habitual estaba demasiado ocupado. Nos dieron una mesa enseguida, tenía algunas popadoms y sabían como habían sido cocinados en aceite sucio! . Una hora después de la comida llegó, coco arroz frío que no tenía sabor de coco. Cuando hablé con el gerente me dijo que hablarán más tarde. Al final de nuestra comida 5 libras. 00 fue tomada de nuestro billl, me dice que el director no sería volver él se encogió y dijo que no le importaba. Nunca se molestó en volver a este restaurante, está fuera de moda, los olores de la vieja cocina y el servicio es asqueroso.

We went as a family of ten for the banquet on Sunday evening and I am astonished at the amount and choice of food and wine we had for the 5 course banquet at 9.95 per person. Awesome.

We got a takeaway from here and couldn't fault it. The passanda was superb and the vindaloo was the best one I've eaten. Flavoursome and hot, but not so hot that you can't taste anything else. Can't wait to try it again!

The service was second to none, excellent from the moment you walk through the door, show you to your table, take your coats, get drinks, for all party members so don't need to worry and make sure that each member of your party has a drink, keep the table cleared all the time, this makes such a huge difference to the appearance of the table as well as making room for glasses and food. We went for the Elvis Experience for my husbands works do which everybody seemed to enjoy the entertainment was brilliant. The only down side I would say is that there was not so much food as when we last went and maybe instead of having the 2nd starter, it would be better to have more meat in the main curry dishes.
