Mohan Tandoori Takeaway in West Oxfordshire

Order came on time so that was good, and was happy with the rice and naan bread. However, the two chicken tikka masala’s were so oily! They both had quite a thick layer of oil floating on the top. It didn’t look right and put us off a bit.

This place really did hit the spot went in thinking will just be a basic Indians restaurant nothing to fancy and the flavours and srminas where like nothing I've ever had before. Highly recommend excellent customer service and very clean. Definitely a new fave my new years plan about going on a diet is going out the window🤣🤣. Please try outt!!!!! One bad thing I can think of is they close to early 😭

good food, however £14.50 for 3 prawns is ridiculous! even 5 would be a small portion. I won't be ordering these again and would advise others not to.

Really not great tonight. Food was delivered late,had to chase the restaurant for an update on delivery. When it arrived food was very oily and bland and not very hot.Very disappointed

I order from here quite a lot! More times than I care to admit. Great food. The ONLY criticism I have is that the masala that I order is very oily, so much that I can dip a spoon in and remove several times. But this is possibly because the food has settled during packaging and being delivered to me. I find that making sure the lid is tight on and give it a good shake to mix it all back in, doing this made it taste better too. 9/10 would recommend!

Easily one of the worse Indian takeaways I have ever had! If you order here you will disappointed by the food. Made order via Uber eats, delivered at expected time. Poppadoms was stale, onion bhaji was over cooked. The chicken tikka masala had no flavour almost like I was served the base gravy, with plenty of oil sitting on top. Only positive was that there was plenty of chicken in the curry, though you will struggle to eat the chicken as it was incredibly dry.

Okay, food is good and I told them that, but we spent best part of £29 and they didn't throw in a couple of poppadoms which accompanies the meal. When I called, he said, well you spent £28, I have people who spend £100 and don't complain. Can I just say, it wasn't a complaint, it would have just been a nice thing to do. Hung up on me! So £28 orders don't count, until they do....

I order fairly regularly from Mohan and it’s usually very good. Had 2 takeaways in 2 days! They didn’t give me 10% off on the first order as they should have and second was a delivery that took nearly 2 hours to arrive and the korma was actually a tikka massala. might order elsewhere for the foreseeable.

Thanks to their food, we didn't have sleep and got sick the next day. We ordered mushroom fried rice, garlic rice, palak paneer and tarka Dahl. The mushrooms did not taste as they were cooked. The garlic rice was loaded with garlic, so much that I had to search for rice in it. The garlic was not even cut or fried, it was simply boiled along with rice. We generally love garlic rice because of the fried garlic flavour in it and I have never seen any garlic rice where the uncut and undried pieces of garlic dominating the rice. Because of that, me and my friends couldn't even sleep the whole night and the next day we got sick with fever, vomiting sensation and headache. Our breathe tasted and smelled like garlic throughout no matter what we ate the next day. Palak paneer was sweet, not mild but sweet like a dessert. I have never seen these many extremities in any food we had so far. If you wanna keep your health, I recommend you to stay far away from this. I doubt if they actually know how to cook in the first place. The only positive thing in the entire experience was they did not take much time to deliver the food.

Asked for a 7pm delivery, it’s now 7:30 and it’s still not arrived! Called the restaurant at 7:15 to be told that the driver was leaving in 5 minutes! Not a good service and it’s only mid week, what’s it like a the end of the week when it’s really busy!!

Pains me to write this as I have been a loyal customer for years but 1h45 to deliver is unacceptable. ( at checkout quoted 60mins) Upon arrival the food was cold and meat tough and most annoyingly missing the nan breads. They did efficiently rectify the missing items. Makes me wonder whether the “just eat “facility is having a detrimental effect of the service levels provided. Gutted.

We’ve persevered time and time again with this takeaway so saddens us, but service needs work both in manners and timing. If you are going to be very very late either don’t accept the order or just let us know!

Ordered on one of the well known delivery apps. I’m a hgv driver so it’s the 1st time I’ve used this restaurant, and my I wasn’t disappointed. I’m from Leic so think I have a fair understanding of the food and i was really pleased with my order. The herbs , spices tastes were fantastic, so happy to have enjoyed there food and can only hope I get the chance to eat again ****** Just lovely
