Been a handful of times and couldn't ask for anymore. Not too busy, great service, suitably priced and supreme quality! Highly recommend.

Excellent food and service, but it is overpriced.

So when my partner visits we get a takeaway. In 10 days stay here we have ordered 3 times, the Tikka Masala Is the best I have ever tasted we just cant get enough it's amazing, quality Is always spot on lovely popadom pickle and salad selection complimenting main course 1000 stars if possible.

A stunning evening of fantastic food and service. The starters were perfect . The mains were very clean, no excessive oil. Flavours were great. Nan bread was fresh and so soft

We had a table for 8 people the restaurant spotlessly clean and the staff were friendly and attentive it was fairly quiet. I asked for a special starter of chilli bhajis (like onion bhajis but with chillies mixed in) our waiter went to ask the chef if he could do them and he did excellent. The rest of the food was also delicious. Top marks from me😃

Amazing meal, everyone enjoyed their meals even the ones that tried new dishes! The kids even knocked over a couple of drinks and the mess was cleaned up quickly and drinks replaced. Staff we welcoming and attentive- nothing was too much trouble!

Best Indian we’ve ever had. Every dish was 10/10, even poppadoms and accompaniments were excellent, and the lovely waiter serving us (I believe he was the owner) was polite, helpful, anccomodating and attentive. We ordered the chef’s special sag wala balti chicken, lamb balti, onion and garlic rice, garlic and cheese naan and mango lassi. Every dish was incredible, ambience was lovely, can’t recommend Aangon enough. Note: it’s a little difficult to see from the road, but it’s on the first floor!

Ordered from just eat, teenage Daughter had chicken korma for a change from something hotter. Then was violently ill from both end shortly after. Fine by the time she woke up. First and last time ordering from here. I thought my food was meh at best and priced similarly to Burford curry house which is expensive but excellent every time.

Lovely service, very professional. The food was very tasty and had all the flavours expected. Only negative was onion bhaji was a little plain. However was well cooked. Main was delightful had a chicken jalfrazi. Exceptional display and setting of food on table. The price is a little high however well worth it for the quality and service. Would highly recommend

Dinned here with two friends in earlier this year, service was ok wine was fine food bland nothing to really sing it's praises! my wife made the mistake of ordering a salmon dish from the menu which at the time thought was ok! however later on that evening she was very sick which followed into the next day also with lets just say stomach issues we we at Bournemouth airport now waiting to catch a flight to Gran Canaria it was literally touch and go if we were going to make our flight!! Without doubt my wife caught food poisoning from this restaurant would never eat here again

Absolutely superb. A real hidden gem, staying with family for the weekend, we went to Aangon, for a wonderful curry. The service was top notch, nothing was a problem, the food was simply amazing. Great food, if you ask for any amendments they're always happy to accommodate. Staff are very chatty, friendly and always make you feel welcome. Prices are very reasonable. Decoration is very nice too.

Close to base and very tasty, really good stand out curry with friendly service by a welcoming team.

The aubergine dish that I had from this restaurant was truly delectable. Fantastic flavour and accompanied by a thoroughly moreish peshwari naan. Even my glass of red wine was of enjoyable quality, which isn't always the case with red wine by the glass! Very impressed and shall return imminently. A great place to eat in Carterton with a really nice atmosphere!

Terrible! Food cold, completely wrong order, half what we ordered. Stringy, chewy bad tasting chicken. This place used to be good and we used to use them regularly, how they've gone downhill!!

Cofid-19 lockdown 2 and 3 update: We have recently enjoyed several superb takeaway/delivered meals, during each of the THREE periods of national lockdown. Ordered by phone, payment by card, everything ordered was delivered. The dishes matched eating in the restaurant. The only thing missing; the friendly in house service and atmosphere. We have eaten here many times. Never been disappointed. The staff members are friendly and the food is well cooked and presented. Sensible to book at weekend.

I have been to this restaurant before and they always deliver. The food was spot on and the service likewise. All covid measures were in place, but this didn’t prevent them from giving all a good night.

Lovely staff who cannot do enough for you. Best tray I have ever had served to accompany the poppadoms. An the food is absolutely gorgeous. My partner is vegan and has no trouble at all finding lovely things to eat as well.

I’ve used this place several times and never had any issues, however today was very different. Ordered a takeaway via just eat, chicken tikka, chicken pakora, rice, nan and popadums. Food was delivered on time. On plating up the food realised a vegetable pakora had been delivered instead of chicken, rang up to advise of the mistake and yeh attitude of the man I spoke to was atrocious, refused to deal with the error and said I should take it up with Justeat. I could not believe the way I was being dealt with and the refusal to rectify a simple mistake, as a regular restaurant and takeaway customer, I can honestly say Never Again, use a takeaway that values it,s customers and offers a service. Poor Poor service!

Haven't eaten in the restaurant so can't comment on that bit, but this place offers a first rate Indian takeaway. There's lots of choice and every dish I have tried has been delightful. The staff are always extremely polite, and offer you a drink whilst you wait. The food generally arrives quickly and twice we have been sent home with a couple of complimentary papadums. The restaurant always looks clean and tidy too! Would recommend if you're after classic Indian food.

Very good Indian! The food tastes brilliant and the staff were very friendly aswell. If you get a takeaway however I would double check your order. They have forgotten items on a couple of occaisions.

Worth going through the rain for. I wanted spicy and was not disappointed. Even my fussy 6year old enjoyed her meal. The garlic man was lovely and the mango lassi was the best I’ve ever had, it was made with fresh mangoes and was absolutely delicious. Will definitely go back and recommend this restaurant to all lovers of Indian food.

This might be Carterton's only Indian restaurant, but from the byline "excellence and expertise with a touch of brilliance", also pinned by fellow supporters Dovecote Spice in Minster Lovell, it remains Carterton's only party-friendly answer to The First Floor, Cowley Road (see my other recommends).This restaurant has come a long way. Forget what you heard about Aziz, the food and drink and service here is good now. This upstairs gallery catered well for the large group of acquaintances and familiar faces tonight. The decor has been well maintained, and the hygiene is updated. The food lacks grease and tastes crazy fresh. And Irish Whiskey! Southern Comfort is tops.My dish shared with my soulmate tonight was an incredibly generous and tasty portion. I'll break the dish down for you. This was the Aangon Khazana. Khazana is one of our favourite mixed meat dishes, and this version came with omelette layered over pullao rice, with a side dish of mixed aloo (Potato salad - think the popular Sag Aloo takeaway favourite, not like German Saeurkraut). We were given four, yes four, slices of Keema Naan.Was the meal a hit? Yes, dear reader, that was a knockout flavour combo. Tons of food, lively ambience depending on the table. I wasn't depressed here, and I wasn't repressed either. In other words, I could be myself here. And the staff have always treated me so kindly. I felt like a million rupees after. Which might not be millions in Indian old money, but I definitely want to see what else is on the menu next week. So yeah, I rate Aangon.

The waiters were extremely accomodating when we asked for some tastings for my mum who had never been to an Indian restaurant and was very skeptical. We ordered an array of vegetable side dishes and she thoroughly enjoyed it as a great introduction to Indian food I am certain it won't be her last

As I have visited more than 100 restaurants in the world, I thought of visiting this place as we were in Carterton near Oxford for around 30 minutes. The only reason I am giving it a 2 star is because the food was somewhat okay and the customer service was extremely bad. The food was average and not that Authentic Indian as they claim. Service is very poor and never saw a smile on their face. Even the Guy who served us, reluctantly told me that he is from Bangladesh. First he told me that he is from near India, which is a vague statement. I mean, why would you say I am from "near India" and can't say where you actually came from. I felt that they are very forceful when they take your order and always force you to order more. I would never recommend anyone to go there. We went there for 30 minutes and the experience was not that pleasant. It is common to add a little sugar or jaggery to some of the vegetable and lentils dishes in some part of India but most Indians don't put sugar in their cuisine. Some people might even laugh at you if you suggest to put sugar in curries. Conclusion: The distinctive taste of an Indian food is absent here in Aangon.

Great family meal out. First time I've taken the children 9 and 3 out to Aangon and they loved it. Clean plates and happy smiles. I was more then happy to leave a Tip with the meal.thabks all and We will be back.

We always have a great meal from the aangon, whether it is eaten in or ordered for takeaway. The food is delicious and the staff are fantastic. They are extremrly attentive. This place is extremely busy at a weekend but It can be very quiet on a weeknight for a more intimate meal. I would advise ringing to book as they do not have a lot of seating.

We visit this restaurant around every 6 weeks. It’s not very consistent. Over the last year the food was very poor for a while then was excellent for a few visits.Last night we had on of the worst meals ever. Food had no taste extremely bland so not sure if they have changed the chef. It was that bad we were ill afterwards. I don’t think we will use this restaurant again as dependent on who the chef is very much depends on the quality of the food.

Went last evening with 5 others, each of us had something different and everyone said how good their food was. Staff were polite and very helpful making it an enjoyable evening.

I visited this restaurant whilst on business at Carterton with my colleague. I had popedoms then a tandoori mixed grill with pilau rice the food was average and the guy serving wasn't the most pleasant of people would not recommend and will not return in the future food is bland and costs are high.

Five of us booked for Christmas Dinner and it was a great meal. We booked for Christmas Dinner in 2017 as well and that was so nice we came back this year.

What a great Christmas Dinner we all had. There were 5 of us and we all had a great time. Food was lovely service was good and everyone was very friendly. Even supplied a doggy bag!!

I visited Aangon 3 weeks ago and the service was terrible. Slow service and when we asked for our starters after waiting 45 minutes, it still took a further 20 minutes because they hadn't actually cooked them. Then waited an extra 30 minutes for mains. Also was charged twice by the company, they authorised a contactless payment without my permission and then asked me to put my pin in. Called up to ask for a refund which they did respond to pretty quickly and efficiently but at first they didn't believe me saying "it couldn't be possible that they charged me twice", despite bank statements evidencing they had. Would not eat here again

The restaurant is very quiet within the week and serves some fantastic food. The staff are extremely attentive, sometimes arguably too much.
