It's so delicious. I didn't expect Indian food to be so delicious. The service was very good and the attitude was very warm. It was a great dining experience. It was a perfect ending to our trip to Blenheim Palace!

We have visited this little gem of an Indian heritage late July 2024 . I was a bit put off by negative review of a lady with soda fiziness issue We arrived and were sat promptly on the most beautiful table in the restaurant - despite not having prior booking The staff was incredibly attentive and lovely Our warm poppadoms arrived in no time and were accompanied by lovely selection of dips Then our plates were changed for hot new ones and food arrived. What a wonderful feast to the senses! Spectacular! Really do not be afraid of coming here! The guys behind it know what they are doing!

I recently visited Woodstock during an event at Blenheim Palace with my family. We entered the restaurant and it was fairly busy, nevertheless a young lady welcomed with a bright smile and sat us down very efficiently. Since it was busy the food did take a while to arrive, but staff made sure to apologise and put a rush on our drinks and starters. Once the food arrived it was beautifully set on our table and we thoroughly enjoyed our time. The atmosphere was very nice and friendly! WOULD MOST DEFINITELY RECOMMEND!!!

I don’t why trip advisor says it’s closed . Its open . The most fresh , flavourful , delicious meal we have had yet . Highly recommend this restaurant. The service is lit if this world . Amazing !

We randomly stopped in and were not disappointed. The pakora was lightly battered compared to many other places we have experienced. The Curry dish was lovely and the side of rice was cooked ideally. The great food and the attentive sevice made it real great memorable experience.

**Unacceptable Wait Time and Poor Service** Our visit to DABA Spice was quite disappointing. While other tables around us were being served quickly and were full of food, we waited an unreasonably long time for our order. It was especially frustrating since we had children with us, who were getting restless and hungry. To make matters worse, when our drinks arrived, the soda had gone flat. The lack of carbonation made the experience even less enjoyable. Overall, the poor service and long wait times made this dining experience quite unpleasant. We hope the management can address these issues, but we won't be returning anytime soon.

AWFUL EXPERIENCE After visiting the blenheim palace we decided to dine in at this restaurant because was the only one open at the moment, Staff welcomed us and gave a table which was dirty the table cloth was filthy it was obviously not been replaced , No one approached our table to take the drinks order so i had to call the waiter , the drinks arrived after 15 minutes which is a very long wait as we were thirsty nevertheless the long wait every single soda drink we ordered was flat so certainly they used opened mixers. After placing the order food took more then 1 hour to arrive to our table children's were crying of hunger we could see every single table that arrived after us being served starter and mains so we were literally forgotten At this point we had take actions so we called the waiters which were careless they did not apologise for any delay instead tried to make excuses . When food finally arrived we did not enjoy most of the dishes lack of passion from chefs side and authenticity food was blend Butter chicken was the worst dish i ever eaten in any restaurants. Once complained to the managed no one checked back with us if we would like to change our dishes so i requested the bill I WONT RECCOMEND THIS RRSTAURANT TO ANYONE IF YOU CANT FIND ANYTHING OPEN JUST SEARCH SOMETHING ELSEWHERE

Today because of your late servicing I have been force to drive in the night "which I don't like it" through M69 from Oxfordshire to Leicester. Also my friend Pessi and my friend Harvis they didn't like your service. Also coke no gas and potato frie no early ready for kids. Ok thank you.

I don't know if we caught them on a bad day but the curries were not good (tandoori and Tikka were great). Too sweet and grainy, we had several excellent Indian meals on our trip, this one was not good at all.

Popped in for a beautiful curry and few drinks. First visit and not disappointed! Manager and Staff so friendly and kind. Will be visiting again

Im fussy about a curry, it didnt disappiont, very polite staff, excellent food, price very reasonable, did book, but as there was an event on nearby, it wasn't busy early in the evening, by the time we left it was busy with dinèrs and take away collections.

Was staying at the Marlborough Arms nearby and visited in April 2024. Pleasantly surprised, nice decor, pleasant staff even though I’m not sure they spoke perfect English! Food was excellent, hot, tasty, plentiful and altogether an excellent place to visit while staying in Woodstock Would certainly recommend it and will be going back when we visit Woodstock again

Really good curry restaurant. I can recommend the Rogan Josh one of their traditional dishes. Service was excellent and they really make the most of this small restaurant. Will definitely return.

We were a party of 2 couples on Saturday 20 Jan 24. We arrived about 30minutes late, we were welcomed by lovely staff and all agreed had a really nice meal/evening.

Excellent takeaways, best curry house we’ve found in Oxfordshire. Very fresh, tasty food. Love the Makhani, Dansak and Sag Paneer, but all curries we’ve tried have been good.

This was our second visit. Food and beer were tasty. Service was ok. Main problem was that the air temperature in the restaurant was very cold. I nearly ate with my coat on, but didn’t. Atmosphere of the restaurant is a bit lacking. Could do with having some background music playing.

We came from Devon on Monday 16/10/23 after helping a few charity events around Kidlington. Googled DabaSpice Indian. We greeted with a glaring stare from a waiter who gave us a table. The whole experience was exhausting. It took me about ten minutes to explain the merlot and then he served in a cooler with ice. Waiter couldn't explain any of the dishes. Very odd experience, the food was however good but waiting staff are imcompitent and don't understand English, which is a shame.

I had actually forgotten what bad food tastes like......until I dined here. Worst Indian slop ever seen, unidentifiable things in my food.... if you've lost your dear pet, make this your first stop... Positives : we were not ill.

Having read some previous reviews, I was unsure but as I was staying opposite and fancied Indian food, I decided to give it a go. I was greeted well on a fairly quiet Monday evening. Service was pleasant and quick to have drinks order taken, followed by food order. Cobra on draught, chilled nicely. Following poppadoms, food was served. Well presented, generous portion and hot. A variety of flavours from one of the specials was delightful. A very pleasant chat from one of the waiters whilst clearing the table. I travel for work and eat in a lot of restaurants. All I ask is good food and good service. Tonight, I got both. Wouldn't hesitate in returning.

For quite some time I've been wanting to try DaBa out. I'm so pleased we did! It's definitely in my top three local British Indian restaurants. The food was perfectly cooked. I had Chicken Saag it's a good test as it's so easy to burn and leave a bitter taste. It's a DaBa chef recommendation and for my taste spot on. The peshwari Naan that I chose to accompany the meal, perfect. My partner had a vegetable Thali. This too was extremely good. Except the Rhita was possibly too sweet . All in all I highly recommend DaBa spice. Please go and support I'm sure you won't be disappointed.

Great to see Da Ba reopen. Management is new but good to see some familiar faces still there. Had a lovely meal for 2 last night. Food was delicious, with some interesting changes to the menu. Staff looked after us well, and in no hurry for us to go when we finished our meal. We’ll definitely be back!

It’s such a shame as we used to love Daba under the old management but since it reopened it has changed a lot and not for the better. Got a takeaway with my partner and found everything to be over cooked including the rice, all three of the curries tasted the same with no real or distinct flavour, and I then found egg shell in my vegetarian Pathia. I contacted them twice directly to save writing a poor review, however, haven’t heard back. We wouldn’t go back.

This was the worst Indian meal I have ever had. The food took ages to arrive, and when it did, it was cold. We complained and the waiter said it was due to the air-conditioning above the table which had not been switched on! One of our group ordered lamb shank which arrived 30 minutes after our courses which was still frozen in the middle. My rice arrived at the same time. There was no apology from anyone, only offers to reheat the cold food in the microwave. This place is a joke., avoid like the plague.

Greeted without a smile or welcome! Table for two separated for us from pre-laid table for six, despite prior booking. Food excellent but having finished main course we were discussing dessert/coffee when our bill was abruptly presented without the chance of either!! Apparently not an option? A good restaurant food wise but communication and service needs some attention and improvement.

Mine and my families experience was amazing at Daba Spice thanks to SHOUAL and STAFF. The food is lovely and spicy just how me and my family like it. Especially the Naga lamb curry. Immaculate restaurant, and an all round good evening.

After numerous times of using this restaurant, the staff and food are always great. The unique selection of chef special menu is also pleasing with dishes such as DABA sizzler or East Indian. Nowhere can match it!

Outstanding Vegan food, the host was very knowledgeable regarding what items on the menu were suitable for vegan diners, the chef having lots of experience also cooking vegan meals. We had a delicious meal, everything was fantastic, we had the mixed veg dhansak, bhuna and bombay aloo with a chickpea side dish. The chapatis were fab and the plain rice lovely and fluffy. Was v impressed, a must-visit for any vegans, and also non-vegans. Fantastic, thanks :-)

This place has very good fresh Indian food. We loved it and enjoyed it. Book in advance it’s about 3 minutes walk from Blenheim palace and 2 minutes from The Macdonald Bear. We loved our food and highly recommend it to Indian food lovers.

Gem of a local curry house! Superb curries, perfectly spiced across the full range from very light to hot. Family owned and run which shows. On a similar level to Oxford’s original award-winning Aziz. Love the Chicken Naga and their signature Dhal!

I remember when Daba opened, new name, new furniture/decor, new staff and best of all new tasty food. At last, having had a rather ‘tired’ curry house in Woodstock where your shoes stuck to the carpet, we have a restaurant worth a visit. Hmmm, well this Sunday after a day moving home, exhausted we just wanted a good hot meal on a cold foggy evening. Restaurant had a few diners and without a reservation we were offered a choice of places to sit. Service was good without a smile, food was mediocre. No sign of the fresh food that was 5* when it first opened, rather it was back to the tired/mass produced ‘curry’. My Chicken Saag that was so awesome in the new place, clearly lovingly prepared with a sprig of garnish and so flavoursome was nowhere to be seen - just the usual curry ‘dollop’ – the sort of thing that I use to enjoy after many ales on a Friday night. Plates were hot 🙂, except for the pilau rice plates which were stone cold 😕. My wife’s main course (chicken balti) lukewarm. Disappointing 😕

We have always found the food to be very good here, both dining in and takeaway. However over the last few years the service has sadly gone down hill which has put us off eating in any more, so we tend to stick to takeaways now. Shame.

Ordered two currys and pilau rice via their website as a takeaway. Upon entry of Daba to collect the takeaway - the staff were blatantly disinterested. We got back to find that the Korma we ordered was overpoweringly sugary/sweet, the rice was described as pilau but was very bland and the Tikka masala was literally just some bits of dry chicken with spices around them with no sauce?? It came with sauce in a separate tupperware container that looked and tasted like a vinaigrette not something that would go with a tikka masala. Not to mention that the salad that came with it had brown lettuce bits in it. Honestly disappointed since I paid £20 for this and have had better ready meal curries from sainsburys.
