The best restaurants in West Oxfordshire South East

Rude staff. Poor food. I don’t know who the staff in this place think they are, but talking to your customers like they’re idiots is a guaranteed way to ensure they don’t come back to buy your low quality greasy food and travel a little further to go some decent with staff who treat their customers with respect.

We ordered takeaway online. The food was delicious. It was fresh and portioned very well. You can get sausage instead of cod.

The pizza was tasty and enjoyable but sadly they do not use fresh dough, which detracts from the taste of it.

Steak was cooked to perfection, fish similarly. The service was absolutely brilliant from everyone involved. Relaxed but oh so attentive without being at all intrusive. Wine list quite extensive (some of it pricy) and ours was spot on -delicious! Clearly popular with locals and visitors alike. Would we go back? You bet!

Friendly welcoming staff. Bridget was awesome! She was really friendly and made me some great gin mixes. Definitely recommend this pub to anyone!

I love the food served and delivered from Taj, Truly outstanding meals that can be ordered via Just Eat. Cooked fresh and with tasting perfect. Well done.

We went here for a few cocktails before moving on for a meal out. It's small but looks the part for a cocktail bar. The first thing that hit us though as we entered was the horrendous smell from the toilets. It was really off putting and so we sat by the main door which thankfully was open. I think this place could be great but cleanliness has to be top priority. We will not return if it smells that bad again.

When you feel the children deserve a sugary treat, this is the spot. Portions are plenty and sure to delight

Great pub atmosphere. Good choice of food at reasonable prices. Good choice of beers, guest Ales and Wine. Highly recommend

Sunday lunch for four people was superb. Roast rump of beef cooked to perfection with generous vegetables including delightful fluffy roast potatoes. Starters bursting with flavour. Puddings likewise. Deservedly busy so be prepared to book well ahead. Despite that, attention from serving staff was impeccable. Good value for money. It remains amongst my favourite pub/restaurants in the Cotwolds and believe me I have tried many.

This quaint pub sells great food at an excellent price and great quality . Its not Michelin star! But I would defiantly go again and again 2 Roast lamb dinners and 2 roast pork dinners what more do you want

Don’t take card anymore. This used to be my go-to.

Lovely garden centre with stunning views across the Cotswolds. However customer service from one particular waitress in the coffee shop was non existent and the manner in which she placed the food on the table was hazardous and dangerous. Reaching over our grandson’s head with hot soup which was virtually thrown onto table. Toasted sandwiches again delivered over our grandson’s head and thrown onto the table and we were told to sort them ourselves. Hot chips thrown in front of our grandson without saying be careful etc. as they’re very hot. Lucky there weren’t any spillages. There was also too much cranberry sauce in the Brie & Cranberry toasted sandwich and too much chutney in the Cheese & Chutney toasted sandwich. Leaving us very sticky. We felt that we couldn’t complain on the day as we didn’t want to upset the person anymore. Other customers in the coffee shop were also served in the same manner.
