Carterton in West Oxfordshire

We ordered takeaway online. The food was delicious. It was fresh and portioned very well. You can get sausage instead of cod.

Chips were raw and very pale and soggy. Bought 5 meals, a total waste of money. They have lost my custom for this poor customer experience.

This fish and chip shop is one of the best I've had. Polite and lovely people who run it and work there, and the food is delicious. Warm and welcoming. Please, I urge people NOT to visit the takeaway across the way from them called "Sorros". I was just abused in there by one of the so called managers and he blamed me for filling a bag too much which spilt all over the floor!! Told me how to carry a bag!!! Hes usually rude to people and I'm reporting the incident. This fish and chip shop though is excellent, friendly, and also unlike sorros, the food is both edible and tasty. Unfortunately Sorros isnt on Trip advisor, so I was unable to leave an honest horrific review of them, but took the opportunity to truthfully tell people here, especially women, because that "manager" ( joke ) from sorros is I have witnessed being rude and giving nasty looks to women. The guy seriously has mental health problems. Still complaining

Friendly staff with good attention to health and safety! Good service and overall all the food was fine but the fish was a little bit greasy.

Stale ships, like cardboard, definitely not freshly cooked, seemed like they were cooked earlier and were hanging around waiting to be sold. Waste of money for my monthly treat.

A nice town with a few shops easily accessible from A40. New housing is being built as this RAF town (Brize Norton) continues to grow.

Only a small library but well run and looked after. Staff are helpful and friendly. Carpark nearby. easy access.

Been here a couple of years now and as a small town goes most facilities bar big name fast food and coffee houses I am reliably informed the town council deliberately keep out for their own personal reasons. Useful weekly market, broad range of shops and supermarket competitors and fully 24/7 fuel is all good. Wide range of takeaways too and reassuring that trouble is infrequent in pubs as local rafp happy to deal with local serving miscreants if out of order. Clearly noise from aeroplanes is to be expected yet hardly noticed by the locals. All centred on a main crossroads you won't be too disappointed with the facilities here on offer.

Few parks .lots of local shops in the area and pubs lots of well priced hairdressers and they cut your hair great . And not too far from witney and lechlade

Carterton is a pleasant small town with a good selection of shops, cafes and outlets, it serves the nearby RAF Station of Brize Norton and it is nice to see the service personnel around the town.

For a small place there are plenty of shops and a market on thursdays too. Good mix of supermarket, toy shops, take a ways and newsagents and even a building supply shop

The town has a few shops and a good market on a Thursday. The town is growing and has just opened a new Aldi, this is good news as co-op has been one of the only food stores here for a while. Carterton is expanding due to extra military families moving in due to RAF Lyneham closing. Carterton is fine for a few items, but Witney is definately better.
