Visited The Crown as part of Blenheim Palace Virgin Experience Day. The team were friendly and welcoming. The food was excellent, well presented and plentiful. We also enjoyed the background music and would be happy to return in the future.

Lovely ambience here and very good food, the cod croquettes were delicious. House Red, £25.5. Service charge 12.5% was made twice, glad to have spotted it and bill amended.

We'd been recommended this restaurant. Staff were friendly and helpful. BUT We ordered the ROAST lamb. Vegetables, Potatoes were very good, served in tepid plates so the food was not piping hot. Our lamb was in a shredded pile, consisting of some meat, fat, pieces of skin and, for me, a piece of string. The taste was reasonable, but it was very fatty. When I commented that this may have consisted of meat that had once been roasted but as a roast I was expecting slices, I was told that they did not do slices now. It seemed that any so called roast was served shredded and in a pile on the plate. So my question: When is a roast a roast ? If described as shredded - fine, but not like this surely.

I phoned to book because I needed to be sure is was wheelchair friendly. I was assured it was, but when we arrived, there was no disabled parking and a small step into the restaurant, so I wasn't happy. I had to drop my sister off and our disabled parents while I hunted for a carspace. They waited in the rain until I returned. Then we struggled to get the wheelchair over the small step (the abled-bodied wouldn't notice it) but weren't offered help from the staff. Small menu. No mulled wine (despite being on the menu). Not happy with it at all. Won't go back.

We arrived to celebrate our belated birthdays. My friend and me got a welcome/happy belated birthday glass of a lovely Prosecco. What made us feel special. The Hotel/restaurant is super cosy and beautiful interior. Fireplace was going. Our room was so beautiful and we had a extra large double bed. So worth it. So comfortable. Staff,especially the manager was fantastic,helpful and friendly. Great choices of breakfast. We eat there first evening and it was delicious. We had pizzas. Must say,one of the best we had in ages. We definitely coming back there.

My friend and I always meet up at the Crown, when I’m over in the U.K. I know it well and yet, this time , the meal was well below par. I chose crispy fried oyster mushrooms. They arrived covered in over heated batter. Dark brown, burnt tasting and evidently so hot, when cooked, the mushrooms simply ceased to exist. I bought a plate of burned batter! The calamari was marginally better - it had survived the frying - but the batter was dark brown and over cooked! Chips with truffle oil and Parmesan were just fine, the standard I expect. Will think hard before returning. Shame.

Had a superb stay. Really lovely staff, beautiful room with charming decor, delicious dinner and breakfast. Cannot recommend enough. Will certainly be back soon!

This pub served good pizza was fresh and tasty served quickly despite being busy. Friendly staff. Closes at 10 pm The interior has badly torn seating which exposes all of the foam. Why would the owners not repair this. Metal seating outside needs are repaint too.

Ridiculous food and inexperienced staff. I ordered a vegan sandwich. I am not kidding when i say it was 1.5" square piece of day old focaccia with one sliver of eggplant the size of the bread and a lettuce leaf. Plus a side of french fries. All that for 11 pounds. The pork sandwich was no better and of similar proportions.

Visiting my friends who are local, and this is their favourite place, great atmosphere and the food looked delicious although we didn't get to sample any this time round. Drinks were nice and we enjoyed a few hours catching up.

Went to a few places looking for something to eat on a Saturday night. This place was busy but friendly. Nice bar area serving the usual stuff alongside some interesting looking cocktails. We had pizza (goats cheese / beetroot and pepperoni). Both were very tasty washed down with a Sauvignon Blanc that was not chilled particularly well. As with other places in the area don’t leave it too late as kitchen closed at 9. Worth a visit for a low key dinner.

Called in here for a quick drink as the weather outside was very poor. The young man who served us was very efficient, friendly and made us both feel very at home. The atmosphere inside was superb with lots of groups having a great time. We sat near the window as the couch area was reserved. The drinks were excellent and for a pint of Pilsner Urquell and a large glass of 250ml Sauvignon Blanc we only paid £13:70 which was great value. Thank you.

Really cannot fault this restaurant- we booked here last minute and the staff were so accommodating. The food was all excellent, even down to the focaccia we had as a side dish. A good varied menu but not so much as to be overwhelming, and the pizzas were delicious and so fresh! Had a good mix of traditional dishes and a few more unusual options (Moroccan lamb pizza- amazing!).Good wine selection too, and fairly priced for the quality of the meal.The whole evening had a lovely atmosphere, buzzy without being too noisy or manic.We ate in several different restaurants during our stay in Woodstock, and this was the clear winner! Highly recommend.

Booked a table for a Thursday evening and although it was busy, the service was friendly and well paced. Great range of beer, wine and cocktails and a variety of dishes with both vegetarian and vegan options. We both had pizza (from their wood fired oven) - one with artichokes and a 4 cheese one. Both were really well made, delicious and the perfect size. Finished our meal with a Biscoff brownie which was a highlight of the meal. Even if you just pop in for a brownie it would be so worth it. Dined here on a Friday evening. Busy, we had a table in the bar area. Limited menu and the Caesar Salad I had was fine but at £12 with an extra £4 for few pieces of chicken on top was too expensive. My husband had spaghetti main course so for the two dishes and two drinks was over £50! Service was swift and friendly.

We visited here after a visit to Blenheim Palace as the designated restaurant as part of the Virgin Experiences scheme. Food was OK but an extremely limited menu. Disappointed not to be offered the same menu as anyone visiting the restaurant independently. Save your money.

Really nice food and a nice place to eat. The only thing that I was not happy with, was the service charge added without any notification. I know that the site will say there is a notice on the bar, but we didn’t go to the bar, we were seated as we come in. 12.5% added to an already expensive meal.

Staff were great, and helpful with the menu and food was excellent and plentiful. Only let down by the lack of service when it came to paying. Ended up going to the bar to ask for the bill and then again to get someone to take the payment.It was Saturday night with Blenheim tri on so I'm sure it was busier than usual. The atmosphere in the pub was great, and we felt safe at our table in the corner, although there was little social distancing, with no one way system in the pub generally and lots of people at the bar.

My wife and I have eaten here many times over the last few years. This time we had lunch here was extremely disappointing . I will give the good and the bad separately. The good points are. The staff are very friendly and welcoming the pub was very clean. The food was very good as well. Bad points are. They have added a third to the menu price before lock down and added a 10% service charge. Even though the government have made Vat. 5% rather than the 20% on food. Just seems very gready. The other down point was that they had no draught beers because they were getting rid of the the bottles of pr_covid beer before it went out of date.sadly Will definitely not return.

Disappointing lunch...once ordered it took so long to arrive and with so few people in the place. Chips were undercooked and still dripping fryalator grease. Baguette used was as bog standard as they come. They used to make homemade Foccacia bread for their sandwiches. Hardly any chicken in the baguette. I noticed pizza prices have been jacked up by 20% since Lockdown. Need to raise their standards again...pre-Covid...otherwise if this continues the word will get around.....
